Story

Nick is a 9 month old Shar pei mix (mom Shar pei, dad Rottie mix). This guy has the best of both worlds. He has shar pei smooshiness with a good amount of wrinkles but not so many that you have to worry about his skin but so far none of the shar pei health issues. He might be the only 9 month old shar pei mix that has never had an ear infection! He is a champ at the vet so no need for muzzles unless your vet hates being kissed. He will lay still for his nails to be trimmed. He is house trained and will go to the door when he needs to go outside. He loves playing outside but is also able to chill inside when its nap time for the 2 legged kiddos. Currently he is around 65 lbs. He has a gorgeous soft coat and looks even more wrinkly in person! Nick is crate and dog door trained. He does fine sleeping in his crate at night but also loves to snuggle. He is fostering with kids, cats and other dogs! He is totally fine with the kiddos climbing all over him and loves all their hugs they give him. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered July 26, 2024, 4:27 pm

Jek is our gorgeous white bear coat female that has been the mama to many litters of puppies but now it’s her turn to find her forever home. She is still figuring out this living in a home and being part of a family. We can’t wait to see this girl blossom. This girl is really coming out of her shell in her foster home. She is great with dogs of all sizes including female shar pei. She is doing great about leaving the kitties alone She is fostering with a family with two children so no issues with kids. She discovered toys for the first time this week. She is still scared with new people especially men and loud noises. She will be an amazing girl in a home that is willing to give her time to come out of her shell . She has been spayed, lab work, and entropion surgery. Story

Prime is a great example of the greed we see in some of these dogs that have come from a breeding situation. Prime has had mulitple litters of puppies and her poor body shows just how hard this can be on the dogs when it is not done properly with time between litters for them to heal! She lost an eye before she came to us but despite all of the physical neglect we see what a great girl she will be with lots of patience. Right now she is terrified of her own shadow but she loves other dogs and crazy enough loves kids. Prime update She has been spayed, entropion on her remaining eye, and hernia repair. We have discovered she loves walks and actually walks well on a leash. She will actually even do her “business” on a leash. She has the most gorgeous red brush coat. She did great in the bath tub for her first real bath of her life. She will 100% need to go to a home with other dogs especially friendly well adjusted dogs. She takes many of her cues from other dogs in the home. She is most relaxed with other dogs around her. She is yet another that is going to make her new family work for her love but once you get it there won’t be a more loyal dog. July 26, 2024, 4:27 pm

Meet Zorii which is a slavic word for dawn or daybreak which is very fitting for this girl as she is getting a new lease on life after spending her days producing puppies for money. This sweet girl is a bit overwhelmed by this new world but excited to see her sleeping on a dog bed instead of laying in the dirt 365 days a year. First up is learning to walk on a leash. Check back as we make some progress! She loves other dogs and should go to a home with other dogs as confident dogs in the home really help these dogs become more socialized. She has some gorgeous markings and i am sure produced some gorgeous puppies. She will have entropion and be spayed prior to adoption. She is fostering in Tucson AZ July 26, 2024, 4:27 pm

Story

Wolffe is our big boy weighing almost 60 lbs and he is a hunk! He has a gorgeous smooshy face with lots of wrinkles. He is a very submissive male so we definitely want to make sure he goes to a home with other dogs and no one will pick on him! He is learning the finer points of living inside. We have discovered he loves chilling on the cool tile floor and would rather go outside do his business and come right back inside. He loves meal time and isn't super picky about what's on the menu. He loves other dogs and can be found hanging out with the pack. Wolffi has discovered he loves going on walks and thoroughly enjoys smelling all the things he has never experienced up until now. Ok and he might like peeing on ever piece of grass, bush and tree he comes across. He is now coming up to his Foster’s and seeking out attention. We also learned he is not a big fan of crates. He isn't destructive but will do a fair amount of barking and man this boy sounds like he smoked 50 packs of Marlboros. We are super excited to see his personality emerge He has been neutered and had entropion surgery.
