Story
Meet Penny, a beautiful Lab/Chinese Shar Pei mix who is super smart, loving, goofy, and playful. Penny is a happy, healthy dog, but due to my injuries/physical limitations and other life changes, I can no longer give her the lifestyle she needs and deserves. Penny would do best with an active owner, large yard, and routine walks or trips to the park. While she can be a bit of a wild child at times, she is generally calm and well-behaved. She is housebroken, knows several commands, and is quick to learn and eager to please. Penny has been raised with large and medium dogs but would likely do well as long as someone is regularly home to keep her company. Small rehoming fee applies but will include leash, bed, etc to help with the transition.

Meet Lioness!  She is a short statured girl with a BIG personality.  Your eyes aren't deceiving you - her legs really are that short and she has the most adorable little kick every once in a while when she walks.  Lioness (her fosters call her Daisy) is super sweet and smart. She is doggie door-trained and loves to play with everyone, dogs, and kids, big and small. She pulls on a leash. She seems to have quite the appetite, so free feeding is out. She will be a joyful and entertaining companion that will keep you laughing.  Daisy sleeps on a dog bed, but is also happy to sleep in bed and is such a good cuddler. Story
Lobo is blooming! This is the boy you adopt if your pups have been asking for a friend. He adores other dogs. He will run and wrestle all day long. He will make you laugh with his antics. He loves to help with the gardening and will find all the sticks in the yard to pick up and carry around and will pull some tasty leaves off plants at his level So how about the downside of Lobo? Well he came to us from a breeder in Oklahoma that was shut down by the humane society. He is just a baby still but he had minimal contact with kind people early in his life. He is still scared to be pet but is coming up for some chin scratches especially if food is involved. He is finally taking treats from his foster mom and dad's hands which is a huge milestone for this guy.  He easily shares his toys and food with other dogs. We have discovered he loves going for walks but walks better if he has a buddy with him. He has the most gorgeous merle brush coat ( I just wish he loved us petting him) Lobo sleeps on a dog bed in his foster's bedroom. He has never tried to get up on the bed as much as we beg him too! He does love to sleep on the sofa especially when no one is watching. This boy has finally had his eyes done and a mini brow lift and OMG he can see. He has the most gorgeous green brown eyes. Lobo's forever home will definitely need someone who is patient and will give him time to come around. He will need another dog or 10 :) in his forever home who love to play. He is dog door trained so a yard would be a huge plus.  He loves riding in the car and has become a huge fan of hiking with his foster family. We truly believe the key to winning his guy over is consistent walks or hikes and LOTS of treats!        January 4, 2025, 5:12 pm

This tiny guy might be the cutest thing ever. He was purchased from a Shar Pei breeder in AZ. He was living with 4 children. He spent most of his time outdoors but this guy is ready to jump right up on the couch and snuggle! He is great with the other dogs in the home. He is already initiating play. Clearly, this guy will not need entropion surgery. He has the most gorgeous eyes! His original name was Bear, but does not seem to be responding to that, so the foster has settled on Jagger. Jagger is a perfect example of a bone mouth Shar pei! Even down to the perfect curly-Q tail.  January 12, 2025, 10:34 pm

Oh Honey Bee where do we begin. You were found as a stray and somehow endeared yourself to the staff at AZ Humane. They tried so hard to get you adopted but you were such a SPAZ! You loved being outside your kennel so much you couldn't love everyone you met hard enough. You jumped all over everyone including all the dogs that came to meet you and they so tried to make you part of their familly. We are excited to give Honey a change to show what a great girl you can be with some structure and lots of exercise. I mean who can really get exercise living for 2+months in a 6 x10 cell with minimal time outside. This girl is going to love her family so hard so be prepared for a velcro dog. There is nothing aloof about this girl. She rides great in a car and currently working on her dog door skills. She rides great in a car. We are working her leash skills.  This girl is tiny weighing only 33 lbs. She has been spayed and had entropion surgery.January 20, 2025, 11:36 am
