We adopted Bertie from a shelter in 2022 when he was 6 mo. old. He was a wild puppy, but he has turned into a sweet, playful, loving dog. He is a Sharpei Mix, we think with some Shepard and maybe Pit. He wants to please his humans and has learned some commands and loves to work for treats. He knows Come, Sit, Go Potty, Go Kennel, Back, Go. Working with him on Stay, Leave it/Drop it and Laydown. He's stubborn & needs firmness. He is crate trained, loves to play tug of war or fetch. Leash/Harness trained but pulls. Strong chewer and will Eat stuffing so recommend sturdy, unstuffed toys. He is iffy with our cat. They have learned to tolerate each other, and he isn't aggressive per se but chases and annoys the cat. Probably best with no cats or small animals. Bertie is good with people, affectionate but wary of strangers. If he knows you're cool with someone he's good but he barks at delivery people. Has some skin issues, needs weekly bath for odor & possible poultry allergy.

MEET HARIBO: He is an affectionate Shar Pei unlike others of his breed, who can be aloof. He is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and healthy. He absolutely loves being caressed and brushed, and will eagerly follow you from room to room. When you're busy, he'll happily curl up at your feet. Haribo is housetrained with a potty schedule. He's also great at letting you know when he needs to go outside. He needs continued leash training. He gets very excited when seeing other dogs on his walks. He adores playtime and can zoom around energetically at any time of day. Being on the younger side, Haribo will benefit from opportunities to run an burn off energy. He rarely barks. He’s very lazy, he loves to sleep, loooves his benebones and stuffies with squeezers. About 3 years old WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am the cutest little bulldog mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 26 pounds of cuteness. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am petite and stocky with short legs, gray and white fur, and a little crooked nubby tail. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I like to eat everything! I eat my kibble and I love treats. I love fruits and vegetables too! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? If I were a sauce, I would be Sriracha! I am spicy and oh so sweet! I can be pushy, but I am learning commands like sit, stay, leave it, and also where my “spot” is. I am very trainable! I have no knowledge of personal space. I am very happy and social. I am pretty sure foster mom is grateful that I can protect her from the scary vacuum, so I do my best to put on my “tough girl” stance and tell it to back off. I also love to get into the bathroom trash, dumpster dive! Not sure if it is a bad habit since I can’t help it, but I snore really loud! It’s actually cute if you ask me. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) I am housetrained. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I tolerate it for my bath and will go outside to potty in the rain but it is not my favorite. I am not sure if I ever had that much love before. They make me a part of everything, and I feel so special. And of course, they give me treats and toys to play with!!
