Story
MEET HARIBO: He is an affectionate Shar Pei unlike others of his breed, who can be aloof. He is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and healthy. He absolutely loves being caressed and brushed, and will eagerly follow you from room to room. When you're busy, he'll happily curl up at your feet. Haribo is housetrained with a potty schedule. He's also great at letting you know when he needs to go outside. He needs continued leash training. He gets very excited when seeing other dogs on his walks. He adores playtime and can zoom around energetically at any time of day. Being on the younger side, Haribo will benefit from opportunities to run an burn off energy. Haribo will be an excellent companion, especially for someone who is semi-active or has an area where he can have some freedom to run around. Smaller toys and treats that he can easily grab with his mouth are recommended, as he tends to ignore toys that are too big. He is just a great all around dog! Very loving, super smart, funny, lotsa personality, active and engaging. He will bring joy to your life for sure! So don’t delay apply to adopt Haribo today.

Meet Hercules: He is very Shar-Pei in personality and temperament. He is fully vetted, neutered, utd on shots and healthy. Good with other dogs. Kids and cats unknown. We think no kids unless they are much older. Hercules is crate trained and housetrained. He has had professional training. Learned proper leash walking, best behaviors and working on socialization. He rarely barks. He’s very lazy, he loves to sleep, loooves his benebones and stuffies with squeezers. The sweetest , gentlest boy with his people, very soft mouth, great walker on the prong in mellow areas, very fearful in busy areas and will need continued training and support. He would do best in a mellow and calm home. One where there were not guests often. Just a chill and loving home. If you think you sound like a good fit for Hercules and would like to add him to your family, then don’t delay please apply to adopt him today!

Story
Poppy is a gorgeous spayed female shar-pei that is looking for her forever home. Originally from a shelter, she is looking for a home with an experienced shar pei (or similar breed) owner. Poppy needs a strong owner that will take the pack leader role. Poppy has had professional training and knows sit, stay, recall, heel, place (for her dog bed) and more. Poppy would do best in a home that embraces crate training or is willing to use a crate for limited situations (initial transition to home, strangers or workmen in home, etc). Poppy also appears to be fine with cats. She is healthy, is on no medications or special foods. She walks very well on a leash, is housetrained, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines. She loves to give kisses, seeks out attention and generally is a great dog! She would love a yard, is up for long walks or hikes! Poppy came in with another dog and does best with submissive or neutral dogs. She isnt a fan of dogs running up on her and barking at her. She loves rules and boundaries and does best with them. Oh, did we mention she is quite the looker, too??? She is fostering just outside San Francisco area.March 26, 2024, 5:49 pm

Story
Hello! I am the sweetest little lady who looooves snacks! Who doesn`t want a little extra Cash around? Meet this lovely 3 year old female Boxer mix named Cash. Recently finished raising her young pups, Cash is ready to striking out on her own and find a family to settled down with. She`s a relaxed girl who loves walks, staying right by your side throughout and following your directions. I have great leash manners, know sit, down, come, and I`m learning shake! Her sweetness is evident as she shows no problems with our Shelter`s resident feral cats nor her dog colleagues. Such an adaptable and devoted girl would be a windfall your for home, wouldn`t she? Please remember that the shelter is a stressful environment; many dogs come to Front Street as strays without any known history. While staff and volunteers do their best to learn about each dog, behavior in the shelter is not always the same as behavior in a home. Keeping the 3/3/3 Decompression Rule in mind is important. Three days for initial decompression, three weeks to learn the routines of your household, and three months to start to feel relaxed and safe in the home. When you adopt, foster, or are a new pet parent, it`s especially important to consider.

Story
Hi I’m Pepper, I’m a very sweet, silly, and curious girl looking for my forever home. My favorite things are belly rubs, face massages, car rides(with my head out the window) and cuddling up to sleep on your lap. I’m potty trained and know the basic sit, wait (stay), lay down, leave/drop it and my foster dad says my recall is great! He always tells me that I’m a smart girl who learns fast. I’m pretty good on a leash and my foster dad has been helping me get even better! I like playing fetch, chewing on bones, and playing chase with my foster brother, Juice. I’m good with cats and love to lick their ears (when they let me). Although I haven’t met any kids I’m pretty sure I’d be good with them too. I’m a little uneasy around other dogs, especially when I’m in their space or they’re in mine. My foster dad has been working with me on that and I’ve definitely had improvement, but need a bit more work. A slow introduction in neutral space will probably be necessary if I were to meet other pups. That being said, once I warm up I love playing chase, cuddling, and wrestling with other dogs. I play a bit rough, my foster brother loves it, but I understand other dogs may not enjoy it so much. When I’m told to knock it off I do. What I’m looking for is a home that has time to continue my training and will shower me in the love and affection that I deserve!
