Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Izzy (short for Isabella because I’m so bella!)   ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a gorgeous girl!    HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born on November 29, 2018.
WHAT BREED ARE YOU? Just the most perfect Boxer/Pit Bull mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I’m 80 pounds of pure love!  WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m a classic, fawn Boxer beauty with soulful brown eyes and natural black eyeshadow.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’ll pretty much eat anything but have a soft spot for cheese! Can you blame me, though? Cheese is life! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am goofy and playful but also love a good cuddle sesh. I’m loyal to my humans and adore little kids!  DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh that’s easy! My perfect day would start with a long walk, popping some bubbles or chasing a ball, then some quality couch time with my humans, followed by a nice long nap. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything that squeaks will not squeak for very long when I get my paws on it!  DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I’m good with the basics, sit, stay, leave it, and wait! I am very food motivated, so if you want me to learn more, bring on the treats! WHAT SCARES YOU? On leash, I am sometimes nervous about other dogs, so I tend to react to tell them to stay away from me and my human!   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I LOVE children, especially little ones! I am so tolerant of their shenanigans, although I appreciate when my humans step in when they start to get a little handsy with me!  DO YOU LIKE CATS? Oh, no thanks. I’ll pass on cats!  HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? With slow, structured introductions, I should be alright with large dogs, but I do not want little dogs in my space. As I mentioned earlier, I can get uncomfortable with some dogs when on leash. I’m practicing and getting better, treats can help!    IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? It doesn’t matter where I am as long as we’re together. Right beside my human is the best place in the world!  HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m very healthy!   WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with two adults and two children under five years old. My foster mom is my super-favorite person in the world right now, although those littles sure are a lot of fun!   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I chill. Sometimes on the couch, sometimes on the floor. I take myself out and like to find cool spots in the house.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Pretty flexible! Couch, floor, dog bed. A crate if I must, but I like crates the least. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? A leash means walks! I love walking on a leash!    DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Sometimes when I’m on leash I have a hard time telling between friend or foe. Even though I’m big, that doesn’t stop me from acting like a puppy. I am willing to learn, so let’s spend some time working together and have some fun bonding while you teach me what you want me to do!   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yes, I am! No problems there! Make sure you tell me where and I’ll stick to it.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I’m not much of a swimmer but I love getting in the water and playing with the hose. Maybe you can teach me how to swim?   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love spending time with my foster family, especially all the cuddles. The best is when I get to hang out with the kids. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I’m SO ready to start the next phase of my life with my forever family! Let’s do this! **IZZY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300.** If you are interested in adopting Izzy, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
Introducing London! She is a beautiful boxer/American bulldog mix (per dna test) who was out of time in the shelter. Her estimated dob is 3/1/24 and should be around 50 to 55lbs full grown. London is doing well.  She is a typical puppy who needs rules and boundaries. London needs proper introductions to strangers.  She is easily redirected to her toys and has been good about not chewing things in the house  She does like to dig a little and explore the yard.  She is doing great with the other pack members in the house and loves her visits to another foster to play with a group of youngsters!.  She is an exuberant player. And London really likes the water! We are walking in the neighborhood daily.  She is also learning basic commands. She is now on to the Intermediate obedience class and is picking up the commands quickly.  London stays in a crate at night and when her foster mom is away from the house. Potty training has been conquered. And London uses a dog door.  Car rides are also going well.  Cats are unknown. London's wish list: 1.   Secure yard 2.   Adult only home 3.   Obedience training ongoing 4.   Daily walks 5.   Continued socialization   6.   A playful dog friend would be good too!   Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Rocky is a love able family dog. His favorite thing to do is a good walk and snuggle. He’s 7 years old and loves being loved on. We unfortunately had to move and are unable to keep him and our other dog Zeus who is in one of the pictures with him. We just want them to go to a good home. We are devastated that we have to make this decision right now. It’s urgent we find him a home or a foster home.

Story
This is Stahli - to know her is to absolutely love her! Stahli is a 3 year old boxer/boston terrier mix up for adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota!! Not only is she stunningly pretty with a shiny black coat, she's also very smart. She loves performing tricks and pleasing her people when asked to do things. She craves adoration and accolades! Her favorite things are: snuggling, playing with dogs & toys and watching the neighborhood comings and goings. Stahli is the kind of dog that when she loves you, she loves you with every fiber of her being and that will never waiver. She has a goofy playfulness to her when combined with her adorable underbite, makes her simply irresistible! Gotta love a good snaggletooth! Stahli is a homebody and will thrive in a stable home without a lot of commotion and chaos. She is currently in a great foster home that is helping to build her confidence when meeting new people. n the past, meeting new people could overwhelm her, but she is getting much better! We don't think Stahli would thrive living in a large apartment complex. AND drumroll ::: Stahli is on Facebook + Instagram ::: she'd love it if you'd follow her. She loves being a star! @adoptstahli Stahli is being fostered in NE Minneapolis. To meet her in person, please fill out an adoption application. Story
Watch out, world - here comes Cheerio! Cheerio is estimated to be just under a year old. She is a ball of fun who is eager to go on adventures and make new friends. She is the cuddle master and thinks that naps are way better with a buddy. She is an active girl looking for a family who can keep up with her puppy antics. Cheerio weighs about 40lbs and we think she is still growing, so our best guess is that she will be around 50-60lbs when fully grown. Cheerio came to us from an overcrowded Central California animal shelter. She was found as a stray, and no family ever came for her. She was at the shelter for about a month and was then placed on the euthanasia list simply due to a lack of space. We quickly were able to find a foster home to take her in, and she has been settling in well since coming to us. Cheerio is a total lovebug who thrives on human attention. She can be a tad cautious when she meets a new person, but she is quick to warm up and cover your face in kisses. She has a hilariously goofy personality, and there are never any dull moments when she is around. She loves to play fetch! Cheerio has mastered a few basic manners, like sit and down, but would benefit from some continued training to help her be the best girl she can be. Cheerio has done well living with other large dogs and could be a great wrestling buddy for another playful pup. She also wouldn't mind being your one and only - more treats and cuddles for her! Cheerio thinks kitties are fun to chase, but with a slow introduction and proper supervision, she has learned to live with dog-savvy cats. Cheerio could be a great addition to a family with kids 10 years and older. Cheerio has been doing great with her housetraining. Cheerio has done well being left alone in her crate for short periods, but very much prefers when one her foster family members can work from home. She is happy to sleep through the night in her crate. Cheerio is such a fantastic dog, and she can't wait to meet her fur-ever family! If you think that might be you, submit an application today!   Cheerio's adoption fee is $300.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! My name is Fig!   ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am the MOST adorable young lady!   HOW OLD ARE YOU? Best we can tell, I was probably born around May 2024.   WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a super cute low rider bully mix.   HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? My ideal weight is around 35 pounds. I am working hard to attain that weight through a low calorie diet because I have gained a few extra pounds as I have gotten healthy and comfortable in foster care. At the moment, I weigh 40 pounds.   WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a wrinkly face, a cute underbite, and short, chubby legs. My coloring is fawn, and, in the sun, I glow like a beautiful star. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention my gorgeous light green eyes!   WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? As I mentioned, I am watching my calories, so my foster parents feed me a good quality, low calorie kibble.   WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am the sweetest girl ever! One of my favorite things to do is cuddle with a human on the couch because I love the attention. Attention is really the thing for me…I want to be the center of attention, the star of the show, and the life of the party! I am still young, so I have a lot of energy for walks and playtime. Let’s play fetch or tug with my toys!   DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I am pretty chill in the morning and will wait patiently for my humans to start the day. After dealing with the morning business, I love to go for a walk or a car ride, followed by lots of couch cuddles and naps. After some playtime with my foster brother, we both like to bake in the sun like the potatoes that we are! In sum: naps, cuddles, playtime, and sunbathing would be the perfect day for me.   WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love pretty much all the toys! Nibbling on my squeaky stuffies is the current favorite, though.   DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? Yes! I know how to sit and stay, and I will “go to apartment,” which is my fancy bedroom pen where I eat my meals and sleep. Oh, and perhaps my best trick is getting any and all humans to sit down on the couch and let me get up on their lap! I am an expert at that trick!   WHAT SCARES YOU? Oh, I am definitely not a fan of loud noises. I am slowly making friends with the vacuum cleaner and the blender—but those things still seem pretty suspicious, if you ask me. To help keep me from getting too scared when I’m alone, my foster mom makes sure I am relaxed and comfortable by turning on the television with soft music.   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have hung out with some older kids (over 12 years old) and I did very well. That was fun! I do tend to get excited and jump up on people to get their attention, so it would probably be best if I am in a home with older kids only.   DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven’t been around any cats, so I can’t say one way or the other. It is probably best that we stick to dog friends for me, thanks.   HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I live with two other dogs in my foster home and we get along great. Introductions were taken slowly to set us up for a successful friendship, and I think that slow intros are key for me. It will help me to have time to get used to a new home, then gradually increasing exposure to any resident dogs in stages. I am playful and fun, and if we do this right, I will be an amazing friend for your dogs!   IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I would be on the couch, lying comfortably right next to my human or, better yet, lying comfortably ON my human! I will fall asleep as the happiest little nugget in your arms!   HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am a strong and healthy girl! After I get to my goal weight, I will just need to maintain it and we are good to go!   WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster parents, my foster brother Fez, and my foster sister Hazel. My closest companion is my foster mom, who is my cuddle buddy on the couch as she reads or watches television.   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am really great in my “apartment” when my humans leave the house! I settle quickly on my bed and calmly wait for them to return.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep comfortably in my cozy apartment. We have occasional slumber parties where we all pile into my foster parents’ bed, and I am such a good girl! I sleep through the night like an angel.   DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walks! I get really excited to see my leash come out and then it is so much fun to get out and about in the neighborhood. Sometimes I will just stop mid-stride to spend some time taking in the amazing smells (who doesn’t love all the smells, right?).   DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I mentioned above that it’s all about me getting all the attention, right? Yeah, that’s the thing. I have a habit of nipping fingers and jumping up on people when I greet them. I am working on not doing this because I know I should be sitting quietly waiting for people to pet me. It’s hard because I love people so much and want to get their attention right away. I hope to learn how to control my excitement better. I will benefit from a forever home that will continue to work with me on my manners and training for good behaviors.   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? My foster parents make sure that I have access to the backyard on a regular schedule to help prevent accidents in the house. I’ve done great! I sleep through the night with no problem (yay, me!) and I will take myself outside if the door is open. But it is helpful to have a reminder to “go potty” because I sometimes get caught up in all the fun that is happening inside the house and forget to go out.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I don’t like the hose at all. But I absolutely love a warm, soapy bath. I get all blissed out to the point that I actually fell asleep while bathing the other day!   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that my foster family makes me feel safe and loved. While I am learning good behaviors, they are so patient with my training. I feel very lucky to have a foster family that is helping me get used to a whole new, wonderful way of life. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was found roaming the streets of San Francisco. I was extremely skinny and was brought to SF Animal Care and Control. Luckily, I didn’t have to stay at that place very long before NorCal Bully Breed Rescue got me out of there and brought me to my foster home. While in foster care, I have gained weight, my coat is shiny, I give wet sloppy kisses, and I am a great companion dog now. It is time for me to find my forever family! Are you ready to bring me home with you? **FIG’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300.** If you are interested in adopting Fig, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Jude. Nice to meet you! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a handsome boy. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born at the end of 2023. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I'm a Pit Bull mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I’m a perfect 65-pound lap dog. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m very handsome! I’m chocolate gray with white paws, a white belly and white around my neck. Not to brag, but people tell me how handsome I am when I'm out on walks. (And I wholeheartedly agree with their assessment!) WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I eat my kibble like a champ. I also love treats and carrots. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m really playful, cuddly, and super silly. My tail is always wagging because I am just so happy. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I’d start my day with a walk and then breakfast. I would love to hang out with my humans for a bit before I settle in for my first nap of the day. And, oh, let’s take a take a car ride anywhere… I love the car! Wrapping up the perfect day with play time, dinner, snuggles and bed. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? The flirty stick! I love to chase that around and play tug-o-war when I catch a hold of the end. My other favorite toy to play with is the little dog at my foster home. She is really fun! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I sit and stay. I’m getting better about “leave it” every day too. I’m very food motivated, so let’s have some fun bonding through training! WHAT SCARES YOU? I don’t like being surprised by loud noises or quick movements. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, and I love them! My foster family has a 15 year old - he’s my favorite - and a 12 year old. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I don’t know; my foster family doesn’t have a cat. But I’m not interested in them when we see them on our walks. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I LOVE to play with other dogs! My foster family has a dog bigger than me and another dog who is smaller. We all play really well together. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? In the car with my favorite humans. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m practically perfect in every way. No health issues at all. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? My foster dad, mom and their kids. The 15 year old is my favorite human and the 12 year old is great too. Plus two dogs - one big and one smaller. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I have a roomy crate that I relax in. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate, but I’d rather sleep with my human. I’m a good boy about bedtime though. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love going for walks! I’m such a good boy on my leash. I don’t pull much, I’m not bothered by other animals, and I sit at the corners. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I nibble on my humans to tell them I love them. Sometimes I get so excited about loving on them that my nibbles become a little harder than I intend for them to be. I also like to grab a hold of pants or a sock that someone is trying to put on. I’m getting better about letting go, but it’s so hard when I really want to play with what they have. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I do go potty outside. I’ll ask that you be patient with me as I learn where you want me to potty at first, but I will learn quickly. I’m such a good boy! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I don’t love having a bath, but I’m getting better at it. I'm learning to deal with the rain a little better too, but I really prefer to be dry. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? My foster family is so nice to me. They are patient and fun, and my foster mom takes me on car rides. I love that they play with me and let me snuggle up on the couch with them. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I am so excited to find a home of my own where I will be loved forever! I would really like to meet you and come home with you for car rides, playtime, and cuddles! Sounds amazing, right? **JUDE’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300** If you are interested in adopting Jude, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi there, friend! I’m Charlie! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am around two years old as of September 2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a bully mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am the most darling 40-pound house hippo! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m one handsome little devil, if I do say so myself. I’m a lowrider with a beautiful grey coat. My best features are my big smile and fabulous blocky head! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I'm not too picky, I love kibble and mini marshmallows the most, though. Yum! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a sweetheart. I love everyone I meet, dogs or humans! I just want to be invited to the party. I love cuddles and belly rubs, and playing with other dogs is the MOST fun thing ever! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: That’s an easy question, because I am easy to please! Human and dog companionship makes any day perfect. Let’s definitely include some naps in the sun and playtime with my toys! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love chewing on my Bene Bone. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know how to hop like a bunny when I am excited and how to use the furniture as my own personal obstacle course! Those count as tricks, right? WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m a pretty brave boy! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I am a sweet guy, but maybe I’d be best with older children because I like to nibble with my front teeth, like I’m eating corn on the cob, and maybe little kids would be scared of that. DO YOU LIKE CATS? They’re not as cool as dogs, but I’m fine sharing my space with them. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love dogs! We have so much fun playing together. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Next to my human. I’m happy anywhere you want to go. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Now that NorCal Bully Breed Rescue got me surgery to open my airway to help me breathe, I am feeling GREAT! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and grandma, and an unspecified number of dogs (several fosters that come and go, I can’t keep track!) WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am the best boy in my crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I am sleep very well in my crate. It’s my safe space. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Can’t say I’m a huge fan of leash walking, actually. It’s still pretty new to me, so I might learn to enjoy it eventually. But early in my stay at my foster home, I’m not thrilled with the walks right now. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Not really. I don't even bark or cry! But I suppose if you’re going to make me label it, the “corn cob” nibbling I mentioned earlier could be called a not-so-great habit. But I’m not biting or even putting my mouth all the way around. It’s just little nibbles with my front teeth. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am kinda new to this potty outside concept, so I have some learning to do. I’m a very good boy and will learn with consistency, time, and patience. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I’m pretty thick and not really built for water sports. But maybe if you get me a life vest to keep me safe, we could explore the idea of a swim? WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that I am safe and have friends and toys! IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I’m SO ready to start the next phase of my life with my forever family! Let’s do this! **CHARLIE’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300** If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County).
