Camilla is a gorgeous cream shar-pei mix and this girl landed in the shelter after being abandoned in an RV with other dogs. Cami has lived with other dogs, but we've found she would do best as an only dog or a with neutral or submissive male dogs. She is very good with people, and apparently has seen the world (or maybe US) by car/travel. Camilla is about 4 years old, is spayed and had entropion eyelid surgery and has all her vaccines and a microchip. She is about 45 pounds. She is fostering in the San Francisco area and we will post more as we learn it.May 17, 2026, 1:42 pm

Smudge is a good boy that ended up with a skin condition and eyelid issues that likely landed him in the shelter. This handsome guy is just over a year old, according to our vet, and is a tad underweight at 43 pounds. Well, his new life is here. He navigated our let's office like a champ on day 1 out of the shelter, greeting strangers like friends! We are going to get him on some good food, medicated baths and are setting up neuter and eyelid entropion surgeries for him soon. In the meantime, we have learned he is super friendly, is fine around other dogs (mostly ignores them in favor of people), does get a little queasy in the car (drooling only) and is an all-around gentleman. We will post more as we learn about Smudge. He is fostering in the SF Bay greater area.May 17, 2026, 1:42 pm

This guy is uber adorable! With those silly ears and that squishy jowl, he is almost irresistible! Shrimp is a super sweet boy who loves to give kisses and have all the fun! He is young and active and loves to play. He would make a great adventure partner as he loves to hike and swim and is an extremely smart boy. He is treat motivated and loves to learn and is looking for a new best friend to take on the world with. He absolutely loves all toys and swimming! Shrimp is a very active dog and loves long walks, he would benefit from an active family. Shrimp would greatly benefit from training since he does pull in the leash and is strong. He would enjoy agility training and maybe dock diving. Shrimp is not recommended to be housed with kids or cats due to a high prey drive. He has met dogs on and off leash and did okay but small dogs are not recommended. He has attempt to go after a trainers dog but was corrected and listened. Supervision is recommended for meeting others dogs. Shrimp is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. Cookie is a 3yo, 69lb sweetheart who has clearly been through a lot, but somehow still greets the world with a gentle heart and soft spirit. She was found abandoned in an empty home alongside two other dogs, and she arrived at Front Street in rough shape, likely from untreated fleas and allergies. Right now, Cookie needs a little TLC, some comfort, and someone willing to help her feel safe and cared for again.Despite everything, Cookie remains incredibly easygoing. She comes right out of her kennel, walks beautifully on leash with no pulling, and calmly passes other dogs without reaction. She enjoys exploring, staying close to her people, and soaking up gentle attention. Everyone she’s met so far, including staff and volunteers, have been greeted with nothing but friendliness.Cookie may not care much about treats right now, but she absolutely responds to kindness. She has the quiet, grateful demeanor of a dog who just wants peace, comfort, and someone to love her back. She also appears to be likely house-trained.Underneath the rough coat and healing skin is a truly sweet girl who deserves a soft place to land and a family willing to see her for who she is: a very sweet girl who never stopped being gentle, even when life wasn’t gentle with her. My dog is a very playful, affectionate companion who loves attention and being around people. He has a fun, energetic personality and enjoys playtime, but also loves to cuddle and be close to his owner. He’s a bit sensitive and vocal at times, especially when he wants attention or feels unsure, so he would do best with someone patient and understanding who can give him reassurance and consistency. He does best in a stable indoor environment and should not be exposed to extreme weather conditions. When I’m not home, he is comfortable staying in his crate and sees it as his safe space. I’m looking for a loving home where he will get lots of attention, care, and a comfortable indoor lifestyle. He would thrive with someone who has time for him and can give him the affection he deserves.
