Story
Meet Taz – Your New Best Friend! 🐾 Taz is a lovable, silly, and full-of-life pup who’s looking for a forever home! This goofy guy absolutely lives for playtime – toys are his jam – but when it’s time to wind down, he’ll happily curl up next to you on the couch for some cozy cuddles. He's the perfect mix of energy and affection. Taz has a huge heart and so much love to give. He’s got that charming, slightly crazy streak that keeps you laughing, and the kind of loyalty that makes every moment together feel special. He would love some older kids to play with (8-10+), but might get a little too excited for younger children and toddlers. He would love a pet sibling and gets a long great with his foster brother and sister. He is house broken and has not had any accidents but he is still working on remembering his manners all the time, especially when he gets excited. If you’re looking for a pup who will make you smile every day, keep you entertained with his antics, and snuggle up with you at night, Taz is your guy.

Story
This guy is uber adorable! With those silly ears and that squishy jowl, he is almost irresistible! Shrimp is a super sweet boy who loves to give kisses and have all the fun! He is young and active and loves to play. He would make a great adventure partner as he loves to hike and swim and is an extremely smart boy. He is treat motivated and loves to learn and is looking for a new best friend to take on the world with. He absolutely loves all toys and swimming! Shrimp is a very active dog and loves long walks, he would benefit from an active family. Shrimp would greatly benefit from training since he does pull in the leash and is strong. He would enjoy agility training and maybe dock diving. Shrimp is not recommended to be housed with kids or cats due to a high prey drive. He has met dogs on and off leash and did okay. He has attempt to go after a trainers dog but was corrected and listened. Supervision is recommended for meeting others dogs. Shrimp is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. If you’re interested in meeting Shrimp please fill out an application and a volunteer will reach out within one business day. Betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application

Courtesy Post: Meet Lily — A Sweet 4-Year-Old Shar Pei/Aussie Mix Needing a New Home Please note: Lily is not at the shelter. She is currently with her owner in Vacaville, CA, and all meet-and-greets will be arranged directly with the owner. Contact Information For questions or to meet Lily, please contact her owner directly: Owner: Noel  Phone: (707) 637-6138 Email: johnstonoel167@gmail.com About Lily Breed: Shar Pei / Australian Shepherd mix Age: 4 years Color: Brindle Gender: Female (spayed) Vaccines: Up to date Location: Vacaville, CA Reason for Rehoming: Emergency relocation and cannot take her Lily was originally rescued off the side of a freeway and has been with her owner ever since. She is now in need of a safe home due to sudden housing instability. Her owner loves her deeply but is unable to bring her to the new location. &#226&#156&#168 Personality & Behavior Friendly with children Has lived with dogs and kids Initially barks at new visitors, but once she meets them, she settles and relaxes If visitors have food, she’ll politely lay down nearby Potty trained Crate trained Allows people to take food and toys No history of biting Lily is affectionate, loyal, and easygoing once she warms up. Ideal Home Lily would do well with a family or individual who can give her a stable environment and continue the care she’s used to. Because she has lived both indoors and outdoors, she can adapt easily, but she loves being near her people. A home with yard access or daily walks would be wonderful. Veterinary Notes Lily has not been seen by a veterinarian recently, but she is reported to be current on vaccines and is spayed. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Gus is the definition of chill. When he's not trying his best to sit in your lap or rest his head against you, he's most likely sun bathing or bird watching. He was extremely tolerant and respectful of our large high-energy shepherd. He is crate trained and will often go in his crate on his own when bedtime comes around, as well as being very respectful of our space whenever we needed a break or were busy. He can be a bit reactive towards other dogs and cars while on leash, but this can lessen with training and someone willing to work with him. Gus would be perfect for a homebody or family who want a loyal companion to enjoy cuddle time.

Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAt 7 years old and 65 pounds, Cappy is a handsome senior with quiet confidence and charm. He was found tied up outside the shelter with many wounds. All healed now, he's enjoying the comforts of his foster home while he waits for his forever family. His foster reports he’s an excellent house guest! This sweet boy is house-trained and caught on to his routine quickly. He’ll even let you know when it’s time to go out. His favorite place? Curled up next to his humans on a comfy couch. He sleeps soundly through the night and loves a little sunbathing during the day. Cappy has arthritis, likely from an old injury, so he keeps things low-key. Gentle strolls, soft beds, and lots of love are all he needs. He’s great on leash and enjoys short “sniffaris” around the block. When it comes to other dogs, Cappy is generally calm and polite with those his size, though he might be too much for smaller pups. With slow introductions, or as your one-and-only, he’ll shine. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving companion with soulful eyes and a wise, sweet spirit, Cappy could be your match.
