🐾😊Muffins is looking for a Foster to Adopt home😊🐾 😊 We brought this sweetheart into the rescue last Wednesday, and she was supposed to be in a Foster to Adopt home, but they gave up on her in less than 72 hours. This sweet girl has been through so much and it just keeps coming. She was found abandoned in a home with no food or water and feces everywhere. She then spent 7 months in the shelter waiting for the judge to release her for cruelty (Please see video in the comments. ) Now She’s heartworm positive and will need to go through heartworm injections and she has a large growth that needs to be removed from her back. She is just the sweetest girl, who just wants a person of her own!! She is so attached to me after just a couple of days, but I would love for her to settle in where she will remain. Fostering is Free! We pay for food, crate, meds and vet care. You open up your heart and home. Then if you decide to adopt you get a discounted adoption fee. Muffins is a 4 1/2 year old Bulldog/ Shar Pei and weighs 68 lbs. She is overweight and is on a low-fat diet. She is spayed and up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is potty trained and crate trained, but doesn’t need to be crated. She is small and large dog friendly and cat friendly. She wants to follow her person everywhere as to not lose them!! There must be someone out there that is looking for a special Dog to rescue!! You won’t find a sweeter girl!! Let’s show her that all people aren’t like her original owners and she so deserves a Happily Ever After!! He’s experienced the comforts of home life through both adoption and foster care, but was sadly returned due to his strong prey drive—he’s not a good match for homes with cats, chickens, or other small animals. Despite these challenges, Simba has consistently shown that with the right structure and guidance, he truly thrives in a home environment.In foster care, Simba has proven himself to be an all-around wonderful companion. He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on leash. He adores cuddles, loves sleeping in bed with his people, and takes treats with the gentlest manners. Volunteers describe him as a true gentleman—polite, affectionate, and calm on car rides. He enjoys squeaky toys, belly rubs, and even helps dry himself off after baths!Simba also does well with other dogs—especially females—and has been successfully integrated with males when introductions are handled thoughtfully. In playgroups, he’s polite with greetings, occasionally playful, and often content just hanging out near his people.Simba does have some manageable skin and ear issues that are improving with consistent care. The shelter setting, however, is not ideal for his continued recovery.
