Story
This message is incredibly hard for me to write, but it comes from a place of deep love and responsibility. Bacchus is my dream dog,truly. I had wanted an English Bulldog since I was 8 years old, and when I finally got him, it felt like a dream come true. Bacchus is loving, energetic, and has so much personality. He thrives as the only dog in the home and gives his heart fully to his person. He’s loyal, goofy, and cuddly,everything you hope for in a bulldog companion. Unfortunately, Bacchus also resource guards, particularly his food bowl. It’s consistent and something we’ve managed easily with training—he will disengage when called with a preferred treat or toy,but with a newborn in the home now, I can’t safely take any chances, even with behavior that’s 99% predictable. Sometimes he claims things as his, but again, he will come out of that mindset with time and calm redirection. Still, it’s more risk than I can take in a house with a baby. This breaks my heart. HE LOVES LOVE!!!!
