Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Moolawn is a gorgeous, loving, full breed Shar Pei with a lovely flowered fur pattern and is house-trained.Check out the link to view her video below.   She is just cuddly, sweet and absolutely charming! We are sooooooo in love with Moolawn’s gentle sweetness. She seems to enjoy being with humans, but is cautious at first because she lacks confidence.  For an owner who will give her time to warm to them, they will be well rewarded with a darling, precious fur baby who even likes to give kisses on your nose!   So cute! Background of Moolawn:   She was owner-surrendered to us.  She was then adopted from PRBJ and through no fault of her own, was returned.  Her owner did not make time to socialize her with other dogs.  Therefore, she is excited by other dogs, but does not seem to have any aggression.  Because of the lack of socialization and she is strong, we are recommending a home without children.  She has been tested with cats and did not have any kind of reaction to them. Moolawn’s Care:  Moolawn needs daily Apoquel for allergies.  Typical of so many dogs, vet visits, unfamiliar situations, and storms cause anxiety, so she simply takes meds but only on an as-needed basis. She will need weekly ear cleaning which is usual for this breed to prevent ear infections.  She is not fond of having her ears done or her feet touched.  Her nails are easily remedied by just taking frequent walks to wear down the nails. Easy peasy! Moolawn pulls on walks, so training and maybe a special harness would solve the pulling.   Because of its padded head, the Shar-Pei is very sensitive to heat. Shade and water must always be available.   A Shar Pei needs brushing and bathing during molting season. Please apply to come and meet Moolawn.   She is an incredibly sweet dog with such a precious and loving personality.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 28, 2024, 7:58 pm

Story
Otto is a sweet, senior Teddy bear looking for his forever home. He was surrendered to the shelter when his previous owner had been evicted. Otto also had some medical needs that needed to be addressed. And now he's ready for his forever home. Otto is neutered and had his benign mass removed. He is estimated to be about 12 years old and is up to date on all vaccines and preventions. He is housebroken and walks nicely on a leash. Otto is looking for a nice quiet retirement home where he can relax and watch the world go by. True to his breed, he's a little aloof and reserved at first, but once he warms up, he makes for a great friend. Otto enjoys rolling in the grass, laying in the sun, chewing bones and enjoying a nice soft bed. Otto prefers to be the only dog, but he can ignore another dog if they ignore him. But he'd prefer to be alone. If interested in Otto, please send email inquiries only
