Story
Balloo belonged to a friend who was unable to keep him. It has been nearly a year but my friend is still unable to keep him and has relinquished him to me. I have my own dogs and am over the limit for my condo complex. He is a Shar Pei and very sweet and submissive - he appeared to be an adolescent when I took him in.. I hate releasing him because I have grown to love him but I never intended to keep him for life because I am already at my limit with pets at my condo. I do not want to give him to an organization- I want him to go to a home where he will be loved. He is good with kids - my grands love him. He is very timid and will take time to warm up but he loves to be loved; he seems to crave it - I really want him to be with a very nurturing person. He is not leash trained -he was afraid of the leash to start and I simply haven’t had the time to train him. He needs his forever home. His main must haves are yard with a fence and a very loving home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application PEBBLES- Our miracle baby Pebbles is a Pit Bull / Shar-Pei Mix (Pitpei). She is 14 months old and weighs 35 lbs. She is truly a survivor and is an amazing pup. Personality: Pebbles is a sweet, loving girl with a playful puppy spirit! She can be cautious when meeting new dogs at first, but once she warms up, she absolutely loves to romp and play. She doesn’t quite realize her size and enthusiasm can be a bit much for smaller dogs—but it’s all in fun! She loves kids of all ages, but again with her size she probably would do best with older kids. Pebbles loves her humans deeply and may act protective when strangers approach… even though she’s secretly afraid of her own shadow Background: Pebbles had a very rough start in life and did not receive proper vet care early on. Sadly, her siblings did not survive, but Pebbles is a true survivor who beat the odds. Although as a puppy, she was given a very small chance of surviving, every single day she thrived more and more. She never gave up and neither did we!!! After a year in foster care, she’s now ready for the amazing life she deserves. Energy Level: High – adventurous, playful, and loves exploring! Although she loves to run around and play, she also thrives hanging on the couch with her head in your lap, snoring happily. Special Needs / Health: Pebbles is listed as special needs due to a neurological-related eating issue. She does great but needs to be monitored and fed smaller food. She is a bit of an overeater, so food needs to be limited or she will eat until she is ready to bust. She has been seen through her young life by several Veterinarians, including a specialist. The testing ruled out issues with her esophagus, and the final diagnosis was more of a neurological-related eating issue. This does not slow her down, nor affect her quality of life and is manageable. Ideal Home: A loving home where she gets plenty of attention and isn’t left alone for long periods. She’ll thrive with an active family ready to give her love and structure. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 29, 2026, 10:58 pm
