Story
Hi! I’m "Princess", a wonderful canine companion in search of my furever home. I was rescued from a neglectful situation and was in a good foster situation until my caretaker passed away. I am a 5-6 year old, and have been spayed, microchipped and up on all my shots, including the 1 year heartworm shot. Medical records are at Spruce Creek Animal Clinic in Port Orange, under the care of Dr. Hancock. I’ve been told I am a sweetheart, overflowing with affection, strong and have boundless energy. I would be the perfect playmate for playing fetch and wrestling. I would love a large fenced in yard to run around in and expel all my energy. Most of all, I thrive on attention and love to be doted on. I am 65 pounds of muscle. I am crate trained. I have not been around children at all and cats and I don’t get along. If you're ready to provide me, “Princess” with the loving home I deserve, please reach out for more information. If he doesn't answer please leave a message, he'll call back!

Story
Jojo is being fostered in Illinois. She has some vision. Hi. My name is Jojo. I am a 4-year-old boxer mix. I like to think of myself as a playful happy-go-lucky gal. I may not see you well because close objects are like shadows and a little blurry to me, but I know you are there. I get along well with all the cats and dogs in my foster home. I like cats. But I may need slow introductions with little feisty dogs. But I would love to go to a home that has many friendly 4-legged buddies. I like to be active and meet people and other dogs. However, I am not too good with children because a lot of time kids either approach me too fast or gather around me, which makes me so scared that I have to give a warning snap. But I do love my walks. Even more, I love an open field that I can have all to myself so I can let out a lot of my energy. At home, I like to relax and sit at my spot while my foster daddy is doing his work. Everyday, I get to be petted and it makes me feel loved. I am housebroken. However, every once in a while, I have accidents because anxiety gets the best of me when I realize my foster dad has not been home for a while. I will do well in a home where someone is present 90-95 percent of time, perhaps with someone who works out of home or is an active retired person. Blind Dog Rescue has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
🤎 BESSIE 🤎 Bessie almost lost her life because people thought something was wrong with her. When she entered the shelter, she was showing neurological symptoms and was diagnosed with ataxia and a concerning heart murmur that staff believed would make surgery unsafe and lead to lifelong medical issues. But that wasn’t the real story. What no one realized at first was that Bessie had likely been beaten before arriving at the shelter, and the trauma she experienced caused temporary neurological symptoms. Once she was safe, loved, and properly evaluated, it became clear that Bessie was going to be just fine. ❤️ Since entering rescue care, Bessie has been: ✔️ Spayed ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Fully vaccinated ✔️ Cleared and ready for adoption And now her true personality is shining through. Bessie is a total cuddle bug who LOVES her people. She adores dog friends, enjoys playing, and has the goofy, silly personality boxer lovers know and adore. She’s medium energy — happy to play, happy to snuggle, and always entertaining with her funny antics. 😂 Bessie does have some reactivity toward squirrels and fast-moving outdoor distractions, so she wears a basket muzzle on walks to help manage that safely and successfully. She walks well with it, and it allows people to confidently take her out without worrying about reactions. Because of this, Bessie would do best with: ✨ An experienced dog handler ✨ Someone familiar with boxer breeds ✨ A structured, loving home that understands reactive dogs And in return? You’ll get an incredibly loving, loyal, hilarious best friend. Bessie survived trauma, heartbreak, and being misunderstood. Now she’s ready for the forever home she always deserved. 🐾 Bessy is a 2 or 3 year old Boxer mix. Her adoption fee is waived with $100 credit towards helping her get settled in her new home! Her adoption application can be found at www.mysaltydog.com

Story
**As of 7/21/26, we are relocating 8/28/26** Looking for a loving home for Salem. My family is relocating from FL to MN, & I urgently need to find a loving home for Salem before we move. Bringing her with us unfortunately isn't an option, & I am doing everything I can to avoid having to surrender her to a shelter.Salem is a 6-year-old Pit Bull mix who is loyal, calm, affectionate, & well behaved. She loves spending time outdoors, playing in the yard, & then cuddling up with her people at the end of the day. She is house trained, obedient, & can be trusted outside her kennel.Salem would do best in a home without cats, but she is wonderful with people & has been great around my 2 year old son. She truly is an amazing dog & has been a beloved member of our family since I adopted her from the New Smyrna Beach Humane Society several years ago.If you're interested in meeting Salem or have any questions, please reach out. My only goal is finding her the loving home she deserves

Story
Hi there! I’m an 8-year-old girl with plenty of pep left in my step. Don’t let my age fool you—I still love to play, stretch my legs on walks, and soak up every moment with my favorite humans. I’m happiest when I’m right by your side. I’m all about spending time with my people. I do get a little *extra* excited sometimes (okay… I might jump to say hello), but it just means I’m really, really happy to see you! I’d do best in a home without cats, and I’m perfectly fine with calm, low-energy dog friends who match my vibe. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who still has lots of love, life, and tail wags to give—I think we might be a perfect match. 💕
