Whether she grows into your hiking buddy, couch companion, or playful sidekick, Daphne has so much potential just waiting to blossom. All she needs is someone willing to help her become the amazing dog she's meant to be. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. In these cases we may require a higher fee to help recoup the costs of their care while at our rescue.

This well-mannered boy enjoys taking life at his own pace and would love a home where he can relax, explore, and enjoy the simple things.<br/><br/>Sharpie is easy to leash up and enjoys leisurely walks where he can take in all the sights and smells around him. Once hes gotten his sniffs out and finished exploring his environment, he happily comes over for pets and affection. He has a calm, gentle presence that makes spending time with him so enjoyable.<br/><br/>He likes toys too, though hes not overly playful with them - more of a casual toy enthusiast than a wild zoomies kind of guy. Sharpie has also done well around other dogs, showing himself to be a polite and easy companion.<br/><br/>This sweet senior boy is ready to find a loving home where he can enjoy cozy days, gentle adventures, and plenty of affection from his people.

Story
I’ve had Cass for 7years. His previous owners had named him Cassius and we shortened it to Cass. Two things about him that people always say is that he’s very sweet and they forget he’s around because he’s quiet. If he’s indoors he might join everyone where they’re at but usually he stays in his bed. When he’s outside he loves to slow down and smell everything. I would really like him to find a home where his new mom/dad will take him for unrushed walks or someone with a backyard/land. If you’re rushed with walking that’s the one thing he really enjoys (besides good food) so I’d hate for him not to have that. He loves massages and cuddling. He’s very in tune with my emotions and has been around: dogs, rats, cats, snakes, and babies. Please let me know if you have any questions 💙
