This beautiful pup is Nala! She was surrendered to the shelter on 4/2 because her family had too many animals to care for. Her former family did note that Nala is good with other dogs. Sweet Nala is a little sad and confused sitting in the loud, overwhelming shelter. This is no place for a puppy, so we're hoping her forever family sees this and comes for her soon! Nala does already know how to sit nicely when asked, and she's eager to please so she'll learn new things quickly. Puppies are super cute, but they're also a lot of work! Please ensure you have the time, patience, and energy to keep up with Nala before adopting. She is a lifelong commitment! Nala is 6 months old, and weighs 34 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and did test negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Nala in kennel 317; her ID # is 17970. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Hi there, let me tell you a little about myself. I like nothing better than hanging with my people at home or going on walks. I walk nicely on a leash and love exploring and sniffing while out. I'm a chill girl and very well-behaved in the home. I do all my pottying outside, and although I don't need to be crated, and I will even hang out in my crate if you need me to. I sleep in my crate in my foster home and love to lay alongside my people on the couch. I am a gentle girl and take my treats so nicely. I'm an 11-year-old Sharpei/Boxer mix who is very healthy and weighs around 60 lbs. I'm unsure what it means, but my foster mom always tells me how gorgeous I am. I sound just about perfect, don't I? I like other dogs well enough and don't mind passing them when we walk, but I would be better in a home without dogs, cats and small children. I can even play in the yard with some, but I'm not particularly eager to share my space or my things with them, so I'm looking for a forever home where I'm the only dog. I should clarify that I don't mind sharing my things with people; it's just the other dogs I don't want to share with. And cats? Well, my foster Mom says I'm way too interested in cats to be able to share a home with any. I don't have a lot of experience with young children, so my foster mom thinks I should stick to adults and teens because I may not do well with the energy of a younger child. Anyway, that's my story. Priya loves being outside, whether she’s running around the yard or playing tug-of-war with the other dogs in her foster home. She’s an independent and curious pup who enjoys exploring but is always ready to jump into playtime with her people or furry friends.
