All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. About Hermes:He’s four years old.He’s a Chinese sharpei & pit mix. (We do have his full DNA panel if you’d like it!)He’s got no known medical issues.He’s very sassy. He’s up to date on his shots.He’s good with kids. He’s never had any major behavioral issues, is house broken, no history of destructive behavior or aggression towards humans, female dogs, cats or small mammals like guinea pigs.He could benefit from anxiety medication as he does have a bit of anxious attachment.He loves lazing around or going for walks & hikes. He’s extremely adaptable and just happy to be with his people.I think he would make an amazing pet in a home without other males. Hermes does not get along with our older male but has never had any issues with any other males or female dogs. Right now, we have to keep them apart & divide our attention between the males, leaving both missing out on love & time with us.Please, please consider our boy. He deserves all the love in the world. Sharpie is easy to leash up and enjoys leisurely walks where he can take in all the sights and smells around him. Once hes gotten his sniffs out and finished exploring his environment, he happily comes over for pets and affection. He has a calm, gentle presence that makes spending time with him so enjoyable. He likes toys too, though hes not overly playful with them - more of a casual toy enthusiast than a wild zoomies kind of guy. Sharpie has also done well around other dogs, showing himself to be a polite and easy companion. Priya is a happy, adventurous puppy who’s ready to find her forever home! At 13 weeks old and about 20 pounds, this Shar Pei/Lab mix is full of curiosity, confidence, and playful energy. Priya loves being outside, whether she’s running around the yard or playing tug-of-war with the other dogs in her foster home. She’s an independent and curious pup who enjoys exploring but is always ready to jump into playtime with her people or furry friends. She’s already doing great with potty training and is crate trained, making her an easy addition to a loving household. Priya does wonderfully with kids and gets along well with both big and small dogs. She also loves chewing on bones and toys to keep herself entertained. Meet Clint EastwoodClint's rescuer, Vida, found him roaming the streets near Wrens, Georgia wearing a Seresto flea collar and he already neutered but no chip and no tags. Nothing is known about his background and who knows what he's endured or how long he was out there all alone, fending for himself.Clint is currently staying at Graced Kennels in Augusta, Georgi. He is such an affectionate, loving, friendly, playful dog and craves a lot of human affection. Clint loves people, is good with kids of all ages...even babies, loves to cuddle but is very reactive towards other dogs and so needs to be in a home with no other pets. He has anxiety most likely from living on the streets and is taking anxiety medication. He gets as much love and attention as possible at the kennel but it just doesn't compare to a forever home.He gets lonely and wants nothing more than human interaction and affection. Hands to Paws is concerned about his quality of life and feels that he would be happy and really thrive in a forever home with his special someone, where he can get all of the attention that he so deserves.
