Our hearts hurt for Winston. His owner could no longer take care of him and he arrived to the shelter on 11/12. Winston is 10 years young and weighs in at 52 pounds. He is sweet old man who is calm and gentle. He knows to sit when asked and loves his treats. It is reported that he is house trained, good with dogs and children. He would like nothing more than to have a soft bed to nap on in a loving home. Would you give Winston a home for his golden years? Ask for ID# 15022 Run 402. He is neutered and micro-chipped. He has tested negative for heart worm. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136.     Hi there, let me tell you a little about myself. I like nothing better than hanging with my people at home or going on walks. I walk nicely on a leash and love exploring and sniffing while out. I'm a chill girl and very well-behaved in the home.  I do all my pottying outside, and although I don't need to be crated, and I will even hang out in my crate if you need me to. I sleep in my crate in my foster home and love to lay alongside my people on the couch. I am a gentle girl and take my treats so nicely. I'm an 11-year-old Sharpei/Boxer mix who is very healthy and weighs around 60 lbs. I'm unsure what it means, but my foster mom always tells me how gorgeous I am. I sound just about perfect, don't I? I like other dogs well enough and don't mind passing them when we walk, but I would be better in a home without dogs, cats and small children. I can even play in the yard with some, but I'm not particularly eager to share my space or my things with them, so I'm looking for a forever home where I'm the only dog. I should clarify that I don't mind sharing my things with people; it's just the other dogs I don't want to share with. And cats? Well, my foster Mom says I'm way too interested in cats to be able to share a home with any. I don't have a lot of experience with young children, so my foster mom thinks I should stick to adults and teens because I may not do well with the energy of a younger child. Anyway, that's my story. Whom has a heart shaped face! BASICS: Bon-Bon is fully vetted, spayed of course, utd on shots and had her needed Entropian surgery. She is healthy and ready to roll! She is good with other dogs and kids. She is house trained, no base of commands, very intelligent and learned quickly. Okay on leash. Could use a little more training on a leash. As of right now she’s not leash walked often as her fosters have a fully fenced in backyard.she is approximately 1.5 years old. THE GOOD STUFF: This grrrl! We love her! She is a team favourite! Bon-Bon is super sweet, affectionate and just loves her people! She is great with dogs big and small! She loves to explore, just checking out the world with wonder! She loves to play and engage with her doggie siblings. This girl is a pro-napper and we just know dreams of pure joy and happiness.
