Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This is Odin. He has a sad history involving being drug behind a vehicle for refusing to fight in the pit that his owner threw him into. But we aren't here to talk about his past. That's behind him now. We want to focus on the present and his future. He is so very cuddly. His motto is that personal space is over rated and there's no such thing as too close. He is fantstic with kids and absolutely loved all the attention and face kisses he received from his tiny visitors recently, ages 3 and 5 years old. He would love nothing more than to be someone’s little spoon for the rest of his days! I included the last picture of just a few of his scars to show he has not had an easy life. Cruelly tortured by humans, YET is so desperate for love and snuggles. His true nature of a lover, not a fighter has won out, and he is a survivor! He does fine with other non aggressive dogs, he's mostly uninterested in them and really just wants all the humans' attention. With proper introduction, we believe he would be happy in a home with another that would allow him to be the attention hog. We believe Odin is about 2 years old and he weighs about 65 lbs. He is fully vetted. Odin is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. : Big Sweeties Photography working her magic on this handsome boy!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. From Tragedy to Hope — Meet Chula Currently in Texas | Transport Available Born: Senior | &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: 61.2 lbs Special Needs: Daily thyroid meds Adoption Fee: $200 (or $300 if adopted with her best friend, Chance) Apply: www.adoggie4you.org One minute, Chula was living the dream—riding in her dad’s truck, snoozing beside his recliner, and sharing the bed with her brother. Then, everything changed. Her dad passed away unexpectedly, and for three long days, Chula stood guard beside him, confused and heartbroken. Strangers broke in, and in her fear, Chula did what any loyal dog would—tried to protect the only home she'd ever known. What followed was terrifying: a catchpole, a loud kennel, and separation from her brother, Booger. Chula's world fell apart. But her journey didn’t end there. When our team finally brought Chula and Booger to the rescue, they were deeply traumatized. For months, Chula only trusted one person—Pat—who she knew from her previous life. Slowly, she began to open up, and her healing truly began when she was introduced to Chance, another long-time resident who had also faced a tough life. Together, they brought each other back to life. Now, Chula runs and plays, walks on leash, and enjoys meeting new people—on her own terms. Her friendship with Chance has given her a second chance. Why Chula Will Steal Your Heart: Beautiful Shar Pei/Lab mix with soulful eyes House-trained and tidy—never soils her kennel Loves toys, playtime, and curling up to watch TV Gets along with other respectful dogs, especially larger ones Would thrive in a calm home with a fenced yard Needs an experienced, patient adopter who will let her bloom Takes thyroid pills twice daily (easy to manage) Chula is looking for a quiet, loving home—ideally with Chance, but she would also thrive with another friendly companion dog. She's not suited for homes with small children, cats, or tiny dogs due to her past and her cautious nature. &#226&#156&#168 Chula has spent enough time waiting. Now she’s ready to be someone’s loyal companion again—could it be you? Transport Available to WA, OR, Midwest, and East Coast (excluding RI & MA) Transport Fee: $225 (if applicable) &#226&#158&#161&#239&#184&#143 Apply now at www.adoggie4you.org and let Chula know what it feels like to be truly home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 1:30 pm

Story
Have you ever heard on the TV, well a hoarder's house has been raided and ... animals have been seized and sent to the pound or rescue organizations in the area.... WELL, we are FROM just that kind of situation :( The good thing is we were SAVED... the bad thing is that we had to ENDURE the neglect and disgusting home. The BEST thing is we were ALL SAVED by a rescue group who REFUSED to leave even ONE behind...... 30 dogs/pups ALL AT ONCE has been taxing and motivating for the rescuers. If you watch our video, the situation was very very challenging but our rescuers worked their butts off to save us. We are almost all ready for adoption, all the pups are social and ready for their furever homes! The young adults and adults are a little more shy but have been working really hard with our rescuers to be ready for YOU!! We are a unique "breed" mix, lol. Aunts/Uncles/Parents/SIblings... all "living" together. We have Shar Pei, Scruffy dogs, Pit Bull, and maybe Spaniel mixed in there :D We are all pretty much medium sized, 20-50# and cute as HECK!! If you have ever wanted to adopt a rescued dog that NEEDS the best home, WE ARE WAITING RIGHT HERE!!! Please watch our video, empathize with us AND our rescue family and ADOPT!!!! SO SO SO MANY LIVES DEPEND ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Who's better than the rest-y? That's right, it's me, Betsy! I am a cool Chinese Shar-Pei mixed female with a Tuxedo colored coat and white socks! My facial features even have a cool black and white coloring to them too! I was rescued from a bad hoarding situation alongside my siblings, thing's weren't looking good for us. But our big-hearted rescuers saved us and got us on the road to better care and living great lives! Betsy likes to chew on big bones, occasionally wiggle her ears around, and bark at squirrels. Now we're on our way to finding our forever homes. Learning how to socialize with other dogs, take walks, and play fetch with a ball. Stay tuned for more updates on my journey! This is Betsy signing off! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
OTHER PETS: Checkers was a bit awkward with the other dogs she's met at TJO, but she did initiate some play! She has a bit of a pushy play style, but was also wary of a dog that was more pushy with her. She would likely do best in the home with a dog that can match her energy and play style, while having the ability to settle separately. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Checkers has been found to have hyperthyroidism and would do best with someone that has an established relationship with their own primary veterinarian. Experience with positive reinforcement or willingness to learn. [Some Experience]KIDS: While Checkers has a good energy level, she has moments where she can get excited and may jump up or run into someone's legs, and can also be intense about her food. She would likely do best with kids that are old enough to understand how to interact with her and when to let her have her own space. [10+ / Dog Savvy (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Checkers has a good level of energy outside the kennel, being happy to chase some toys and then settle on her own when she's done. She would likely be a good companion for walks around the neighborhood, though like many dogs she does tend to pull on the leash when she's excited about where she's going. She would do great with various types of both mental and physical enrichment, and will likely be a great hiking partner once she relaxes in her new home! [Good Walking Buddy]VETERINARY CARE: Checkers has the possibility of having hypothyroidism, as her T4 levels were below range, and will need a good relationship with an established vet to ensure that she remains healthy and happy. [Above Average]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Checkers is still at the beginning of her positive training journey, and will do best learning with someone who can offer patience while she adjusts. Positive reinforcement training will help Checkers not only learn her basic cues & skills, but also help her to bond with her new owner. [Moderate]GROOMING: Routine brushing will help to minimize shedding in the home. [Minimal]April 7, 2026, 3:10 pm

Story
***IN FOSTER--call to schedule a meet***This gentle old man still has some pep in his step & enjoys being playful when the mood strikes him. He does not like his skin tags being touched, he would NOT be a good fit for a home with young children.OTHER PETS: Diné is comfortable and independent around other dogs, without much interest in play. He would likely get along with other relaxed dogs that do not have much interst in play. Diné should meet any dog he would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Someone experienced with positive reinforcement, and dogs in general, would be best for Diné; he will need someone who can monitor him and ensure he does not over exhert himself while doing fun things. [Some Experience] KIDS: Diné is social and enjoys interacting with humans, but he also enjoys his quiet time. He would best fit with a moderately active to quiet home where he has his own place to relax and has humans who will respect his boundaries during quiet time. [13+ / Dog Savvy (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Diné is currently going through acceptance phase of aging, sometimes he forgets that he can't be as zoomie as he used to and boy does he get going - but he gets tired pretty quick. Engaging in lower impact activity (walking vs off leash running for example) will allow him to stay active for longer periods of time but care needs to be taken to ensure he doesn't push himself too hard. Regular, appropriate exercise combined with mental enrichment such as food puzzles and games will help meet his needs. [Couch Potato / Good Walking Buddy] VETERINARY CARE: Senior dogs need a good relationship with their vet to ensure they are monitored appropriately to support healthy aging. Staying on top of any potentially harmful masses is important for his future health. It is important to note that Diné is uncomfortable with restraint during exam and may benefit from fear free practices or medication to help him relax beforehand. [Above Average] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Diné bond with his new owner as he continues to learn life skills and fun tricks while building confidence.
