APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. TUGBOAT is a male Shar Pei mix…DOB 7/25/25…weighs 27# and will probably get to be 45-60#. He is the sweetest ever! He’s so friendly and happy. He loves all other dogs and plays with one of other puppies with enthusiasm. He is so much fun to watch. He thinks cats are toys to play with also. He will need to be trained to be more gentle… but he’s only a PUPPY!!! He is also not large…just dense…Picking him up is a challenge. He will be great for a family especially with children. TUGBOAT is a real treat. He deserves a good life. He was found as a single puppy about 6 wks old alongside the road. We don’t know why…Dumped? Mama lost him from the rest of the litter? We don’t know but he is probably the lucky one. He is now totally vetted…has all 4 puppy shots, Rabies, neutered, and getting great puppy food. He’s growing like a weed and life is great. Please give his consideration. https://youtu.be/DG4nEM6q6YY https://youtu.be/thIXy-AF2Sw This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Hi, I’m Loki. I am a one year old, cream colored Lab/Shar Pei mix, around 50 lbs. I prefer hanging with adults, so I’d be a better fit in a house without little kids. I’m a bit of a leaner … okay maybe I’m a huge leaner but I love to cuddle when you pat me. I like playing with other pups, and I really like the ladies (wink, wink). I have medium energy, so it would be great if my new family has a yard. I’m working on my manners, house and crate training. My foster mom thinks I’m really smart. I already know how to walk on a leash and LOVE car rides. Are you looking for that very special boy to join your family? I’m right here and can’t wait to meet you. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. From Tragedy to Hope — Meet Chula Currently in Texas | Transport Available Born: Senior | &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: 61.2 lbs Special Needs: Daily thyroid meds Adoption Fee: $200 (or $300 if adopted with her best friend, Chance) Apply: www.adoggie4you.org One minute, Chula was living the dream—riding in her dad’s truck, snoozing beside his recliner, and sharing the bed with her brother. Then, everything changed. Her dad passed away unexpectedly, and for three long days, Chula stood guard beside him, confused and heartbroken. Strangers broke in, and in her fear, Chula did what any loyal dog would—tried to protect the only home she'd ever known. What followed was terrifying: a catchpole, a loud kennel, and separation from her brother, Booger. Chula's world fell apart. But her journey didn’t end there. When our team finally brought Chula and Booger to the rescue, they were deeply traumatized. For months, Chula only trusted one person—Pat—who she knew from her previous life. Slowly, she began to open up, and her healing truly began when she was introduced to Chance, another long-time resident who had also faced a tough life. Together, they brought each other back to life. Now, Chula runs and plays, walks on leash, and enjoys meeting new people—on her own terms. Her friendship with Chance has given her a second chance. Why Chula Will Steal Your Heart: Beautiful Shar Pei/Lab mix with soulful eyes House-trained and tidy—never soils her kennel Loves toys, playtime, and curling up to watch TV Gets along with other respectful dogs, especially larger ones Would thrive in a calm home with a fenced yard Needs an experienced, patient adopter who will let her bloom Takes thyroid pills twice daily (easy to manage) Chula is looking for a quiet, loving home—ideally with Chance, but she would also thrive with another friendly companion dog. She's not suited for homes with small children, cats, or tiny dogs due to her past and her cautious nature. &#226&#156&#168 Chula has spent enough time waiting. Now she’s ready to be someone’s loyal companion again—could it be you? This is Dani: This spunky girl has so much character! If you look at her videos when she’s trying to play she does this thing where she shakes her head. She sometimes looks like she’s telling me what’s up cause how she does her head nods. She jumps up with excitement like a very tiny bull. She runs around with confidence and loves to explore. The dogs barking at her don’t seem to bother her. She may even be patriotic lol!! 😂 She seemed to take a lot of interest in the flag and our soldier statue. :) Dani is the epitome of "blondes have more fun!!" So if you and your family are looking for a firecracker who loves her country and her friends, adopt her!!! Story
Meet Nymph, a stunning 5-year-old Shar Pei mix weighing 62 pounds of pure love. This beautiful girl came to us with 14 other dogs after her owner was hospitalized, and she’s been a shining example of resilience and sweetness ever since. Nymph loves life’s simple pleasures — sunny walks, gentle playtime with dog friends, and quiet snuggles on the couch. She has a soft, easygoing temperament that makes her a joy to be around. She’s also house trained, crate trained, great with kids, and even took home second place in a local 5K (grace and stamina all in one gorgeous pup! 🏅). While Nymph prefers a cat-free home, she gets along beautifully with other dogs and would thrive in a calm, loving environment. Whether you’re looking for a companion for your family or a loyal friend to share your days with, Nymph is ready to fill your home with love and serenity.

Story
Meet Atticus, a SUPER sweet and lovable ~3 year old neutered male terrier/Boxer/lab mix (see pic of Embark DNA results), weighing about 54 lbs! This special boy was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN. He spent some time in a shelter before being taken into rescue and transported up north, where he has been with his foster family for 7 months now. His foster family absolutely ADORES him and they don’t understand how he hasn’t been adopted yet.  Atticus is a friendly, goofy lovebug who just wants to love and be loved He also thinks he is a lap dog and he dares you to tell him otherwise! He has a zest for life and you can tell by the way he looks at you with such love in his eyes that he is DEEPLY thankful for being given a second chance. He will make you laugh every single day with his silly antics, and then he will happily be your little spoon when you're ready for bed. He is also very smart and knows many commands, he is food motivated and a fast learner!  This handsome guy is a true social butterfly! He absolutely LOVES people, and he is excellent with kids. He loves vigorous pets and butt scratches, and he will happily wiggle his WHOLE body with excitement when you give him attention! He gives the best hugs and kisses and makes the cutest like piggy noises when he is happy   Atticus does well with the resident dogs in his foster home, but he is dog selective and is typically not a fan of large fluffy dogs or dominant dogs. He tends to do better with dogs who are smaller than him. He does have some resource guarding tendencies when it comes to other dogs and food/treats (we always recommend feeding dogs separately regardless). He has not shown any resource guarding tendencies with people, only with other dogs. He has not been cat treated, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Atticus came to us with some reactivity to other dogs, which has unfortunately caused him to not "show" well at adoption events. His foster family has been working hard with him on this, with the help of K9 Rehab in Watertown, CT. He is now e-collar trained and walks beautifully on leash, even surrounded by other dogs. We are SO proud of the amazing progress he has made! As part of their Underdog program, K9 Rehab has generously offered continued training classes to Atticus’s adopter for FREE!  Atticus’s ideal home is one where he will be a cherished family member and given the love and attention that he so deserves. He is happiest when he is with his people, so it is important that he goes to a home where he will be welcomed on the couch and in his human’s bed - he is the perfect snuggle buddy! Additionally, we would like to see Atticus go to someone who is willing to keep up with his training to help him be the best version of himself. He is a truly wonderful dog who will absolutely thrive in the right home, and we just know that home is out there. Atticus is medically up to date and housebroken. Apply to meet this special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2553222##

Story
Meet Bruno, a handsome young neutered male mixed breed doggo (our best guess is Boxer/Dutch Shepherd - DNA results pending! ). He is approximately 1 year old and weighs about 35 lbs - the perfect size! Pictures really don't do this guy justice, he's got the most beautiful brindle coat and the BEST ears!   Bruno is a friendly, energetic boy who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (we recommend older kids 8+ as he is an exuberant young guy and may unintentionally knock over a small child). He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Bruno is smart and food motivated, he has been taking training classes to work on manners and impulse control, and he has been doing GREAT! The ideal home for Bruno is one where he will get plenty of mental and/or physical stimulation to set him up for success. He would also LOVE a fenced in yard of his own and maybe another playful pup in the home to keep him company! From Bruno's current foster:  "Bruno came to Connecticut Sept. 6. Age unknown (possibly a year old, had adult teeth), heritage unknown (Dutch shepherd mix? Heeler? Boxer? Min Pin?). HAPPILY, absolutely no aggression, but lots of energy. Fast forward two months, and he is a really great dog, LOVES training and LOVES to show off his focus. About 35 lbs, a great size. He enjoys our fenced yard and chew bones, loves our weekly training sessions, where he has mastered sit/down/touch/look/wait and even leave it. After 3 sessions, I know he can be your forever companion as long as he has an active life or daily job. Maybe agility? Hiking? With more training, maybe a service dog or companion dog? Not a great candidate for someone working away from home 8 hrs/day, a first time dog owner or family with young children as he is exuberant." Bruno is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable.
