Smokey is a 4 year 3 month old Doberman Pincher/Shar Pei mix weighing 43 pounds. Smokey was originally adopted from our shelter as a puppy in 2022 and recently found himself back with us due to no fault of his own. He's such a stud muffin, gentle and very sweet. Very affectionate, cuddle bug, will be your shadow. HIGH separation anxiety, reported from foster, currently treating with trazadone. His ideal home will allow him to be with someone around the clock with an established routine. Playful with people and toys, his favorites are tug & wrestling. He likes to sleep on the furniture and in bed with you. Previous home had a fenced in yard. He's treat motivated. Knows command sit, easy & down. Housebroken. Crate trained (safe place) and good on a leash. He's selective with other dogs, they must be submissive and smaller than him. Allergies-Special diet required, currently treating skin with diet, baths, and fish oil.His adoption fee is $200, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1-4:30pm and Saturday 1-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions.Come and meet your new best friend today! This handsome 1-year-old, 34-pound Whippet mix is already proving to be a good boy and is house trained. Prince will thrive in a home that can provide structure, patience, and continued training to help him build confidence and be his very best self. He would do best with another confident dog in the home to show him the ropes and help him feel secure. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to learn more about this sweet boy! 💙 If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. MBR Farm is offering ONE Free Private Training session for dogs adopted from us in the month of March. That is a $125 value. Any additional session will be discounted to $80 per private session for an unlimited amount of sessions. No limit, no time limit. Your first session must be completed before May 1, 2026. After May 1st the cost of your first session will be a discounted rate of $100.
