Story
Jalene is a 4-year-3-month old Boxer/Bulldog mix weighing 38 pounds. She came to the shelter as a stray so her history is unknown. Jalene is a petite girl with a large personality! She is full of sassiness, cuddles and kisses! She likes to go for walks but pulls, needs leash training and a harness is required to prevent trachea damage, she's especially crazy and pulls when squirrels are near! She is very smart and curious. She is quick to learn. She loves treat puzzles and knows commands sit and paw. She is selective with treats and loves stuffed toys. Plays fetch and and enjoys other outdoor toys, lots of energy. She thinks she is a lap dog and wants to be with you all the time. Loves car rides, especially if there is a pup cup-minus the cup! No cats permitted in her new home. Jalene does well with other dogs but should be the only dog in the home due to her not wanting to share attention (jealous). Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!

Story
Belle was born on July 17th 2022. We adopted her when she was 9 months old. She is a very sweet girl with lots of energy. She loves playing with her ball and chasing the hose water. Belle does very well being home alone. She don’t chew on anything she’s not suppose to or tear up the house. She will lay there and sleep until someone returns home. She is also crate trained. She sleeps in a crate at night in my room with me. Anyone interested in adopting Belle will need a decent size yard for her to run in. The only reason I am wanting to adopt her out is, I have a small yard. She don’t have the room to run like she needs to. I feel it is not fair to keep her when I can not give her the proper exercise she needs. She listens to commands better when she’s able to run off her energy. Belle is very loved in our home. I’m hoping to find someone who will love her as much as we do. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions

Story
Sammy is a 5 year old boxer mix. She is happy, energetic, and eager to please like most boxers.  Sammy has had extensive training with a couple trainers and does well with commands. She knows to stay in her yard and one of her favorite things to do is go to Grandma's to run in the fields and woods. She loves people and will soak up all the attention you can give her. She plays well with other dogs in structured play but is unable to manage her resource guarding well enough to live with other dogs. Sammy has been with the same family since she was 12 weeks old so there is a lot of information to share about her. Sammy is looking for a new home due to the circumstances of her current family and how those do not provide Sammy with the home she deserves. As mentioned, Sammy does resource guard (food, toys, bed) with other dogs so would need to be the only dog in the home. While she loves kids she isn't very aware of how she can knock over a toddler or small children so please 5 years old and up. ##1815077##

Story
We rescued Bunny when she was just eight weeks old. She was found in a trash bag and brought to an adoption center where we adopted her. She has been spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and all records are included. She is an incredibly loving puppy, great with kids, housebroken, not destructive or anything. The reason we have to rehome her is we have an older dog who is just not adjusting well to her being here and it’s unfair for them both. She is also crate trained and her crate will come with her. Bunny is the perfect pet for anyone who loves an energetic fun loving dog who will also be your best friend and snuggle you with kisses. She’s really a beautiful sweetheart and we would love the perfect family to find a perfect best friend in her.
