Raisin and Figs came into rescue at just a couple hours old. They were the result of an emergency c-section and had complications from aspirating fluid. They were born 12/8/25, both females. Mom was a Pittie mix and it appears that dad may have been a Shar Pei mix. Figs has been adopted and Raisin is looking for her adoptive family! Raisin did attend a middle school celebration and did great with the kids there. The volunteers say she is a loving chunky monkey! Adoption fee is $400 They have their vet exam, fecal, deworming, microchip, spay, age appropriate vaccinations. Fill out an application @ www.saveamomrescue.com and be sure to let your vet know that it's ok to give us a reference when we call.

Smokey is a 4 year 3 month old Doberman Pincher/Shar Pei mix weighing 43 pounds. Smokey was originally adopted from our shelter as a puppy in 2022 and recently found himself back with us due to no fault of his own. He's such a stud muffin, gentle and very sweet. Very affectionate, cuddle bug, will be your shadow. HIGH separation anxiety, reported from foster, currently treating with trazadone. His ideal home will allow him to be with someone around the clock with an established routine. Playful with people and toys, his favorites are tug & wrestling. He likes to sleep on the furniture and in bed with you. Previous home had a fenced in yard. He's treat motivated. Knows command sit, easy & down. Housebroken. Crate trained (safe place) and good on a leash. He's selective with other dogs, they must be submissive and smaller than him. Allergies-Special diet required, currently treating skin with diet, baths, and fish oil.His adoption fee is $200, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1-4:30pm and Saturday 1-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions.Come and meet your new best friend today!
