Story
Hello, I'm Bay, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix boy eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, I and my other siblings are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. Picture this: lovely chocolate fur, long legs adorned with white socks, and eyes that exude innocence, much like a baby angel. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much that I'll gladly sit on a stranger's lap upon our first meeting. Playing with friends is a delight for me, and if I discover a cherished toy, I'll quietly retreat to a corner to enjoy it. My nature is gentle and kind; even if friends approach me while I'm with my toys, I'll simply relocate without any fuss or growls. If you're seeking a puppy friend to always bring a smile to your face and shower you with love, then I'm the perfect companion. Consider adopting me, and I promise to become a cherished and lovable member of your family. Let's create a beautiful bond and fill your home with joy and love together. Hello, I'm Cinnamon, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix girl eagerly awaiting my forever home. y journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. We're a charming bunch! While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, my other siblings and I are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much. I allow strangers to touch or hug me. I'm a very nice, innocent soul. And I'm an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. I still need to learn how to eat snacks. When I go for a walk, my tail goes down in unfamiliar places. I wish I had a family who could teach me the taste of delicious snacks and the joy of walking. I will be your lovely and good family member. I'm in a shelter in Korea and ready to fly anywhere in Seattle or Vancouver if you call my name. PLEASE READ MIA’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT SHE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: MIA IS BEING FOSTERED IN NEW YORK, NY USA BUT WE ARE WILLING TO TRANSPORT We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Mia Age: 11 Months Breed: Sharpei-Mix Sex: Female Weight: 45 lbs Location: New York, NY (We can transport within reason) Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Yes House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, dogs, cats yes, respectful children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: None Mia is a beautiful 11-months old girl who deserves to be in a loving home. She’s been surrendered with her mom by their owner who no longer could care for them so our rescued offered a foster home for Mia. She is safe now and ready to be scooped by her own people! Mia’s adapted to New York City incredibly fast as she is very smart dog! She is confident, obedient and curios about the world around her. She is being fostered with two other dogs and a cat with whom she bonded well. She even wants to play with a cat who is a boss of the household. She let her furry roommate dogs take her chewing stick so she learned sharing skills. As young pup she is full of energy, playful and athletic. Her ideal home would be one with or without another dog, a fenced in yard, where she could expend her energy. She could also do well in the city if taken on frequent walks. Respectful older children and someone who works from home would be best. Mandatory dog training is required to adopt Mia as she is still a young pup and needs to learn good manners. She is house-broken and crate trained but she prefers to be near her foster mom either on a couch or a floor. This stunning girl is very loving, loyal and will get attached to her human. She has so much to offer! If you think that you might be the one for Mia, please contact us or fill out an adoption application.

Story
Troy Male / 52 lbs / American Bulldog x Shar pei x Dogo mix (best guess) Neutered Vaccinated Chipped HW negative This beauty is only a year old & has so much life left in him!!! He’s definitely a loving playful dog and would benefit from lots of activities outdoors. He needs an active person or family to keep him busy. He has not been tested around cats or young children. So in his new home he will need teenagers or older as he loves to jump up and can be super goofy so would definitely knock over young kids. He currently has some hot spots and thus, has some sensitive skin. No known food allergies. He would love a Kong stuffed with treats or peanut butter that he has to work on :) a slow feeder bowl would also stimulate this boy! He’s good with other dogs and he is strong so a halti or gentle leader would definitely aid in his leash skills. He is house trained. Troy is looking for a foster home or a foster to adopt home. Story
Tessa and her 2 tiny babies were rescued from BARC in Houston on April 29, 2024, moments before they were going to be killed. They had a loving home, but their owner was taken to the hospital and his relatives dumped his dogs at the shelter. There was another dog, too, thought to be Tessa's mom, but she was killed. We can't save them all, as much as we wish we could! At least we were able to save Tessa and her babies. The photos of Tessa in her concrete cell, her head down body curled protectively around her puppies, might make you think she's guarding them from letting anyone get too close. Her facial expression doesn't exactly look warm and welcoming -- but the truth is, this mama is as sweet and affectionate with people, even people she's just met, as she is with her own babies. She's all sugar, and no spice! She had absolutely ZERO concern about having her puppies picked up and carried around by strangers, she just wanted to get a butt scratch too. We haven't known her for too long, but so far everything we've seen has been absolutely lovely. She's an amazing mama, but she's also super friendly, quiet in the house, playful with other dogs, curious to investigate new surroundings, and quick to learn. She was pretty interested in the resident cat at her foster home, but was easily redirected and seems to understand now that the cat is off-limits. She's already learning the house rules from her foster-dog siblings and loves being to,d what a good girl she is.Tessa is going to LOVE being part of a family, and we're confident she's going to be an easy, fun and precious addition to any household, whether it's with a single retiree or a busy, bustling family. We're not sure yet if she would prefer having doggie playmates or being the center of attention -- she'd probably be very happy with either, as long as she's not left alone for long periods (she hasn't shown that she has separation anxiety, we just know she's not going to like being by herself as most dogs don't). She seems to be somewhat dominant, so she won't be placed with another dominant female. She's currently in a wonderful foster home in Arkansas, and is available to join a loving household nearly anywhere in the continental US or Ontario.
