Story
About Bay Quick Facts  Name: Bay Age: 1 year old Gender: Male Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Shar-Pei & Jindo Mix Color: Brown All About MeHello, I’m Bay, an adorable 1 year old SharPei mix boy eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, I and my other siblings are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit.   What Makes Me Unique!Picture this: lovely chocolate fur, long legs adorned with white socks, and eyes that exude innocence, much like a baby angel.I’m a social butterfly, adoring people so much that I’ll gladly sit on a stranger’s lap upon our first meeting. Playing with friends is a delight for me, and if I discover a cherished toy, I’ll quietly retreat to a corner to enjoy it.   Special NotesMy nature is gentle and kind; even if friends approach me while I’m with my toys, I’ll simply relocate without any fuss or growls. If you’re seeking a puppy friend to always bring a smile to your face and shower you with love, then I’m the perfect companion.Consider adopting me, and I promise to become a cherished and lovable member of your family. Let’s create a beautiful bond and fill your home with joy and love together.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Bay's YouTube Playlist ##2456596##

Story
Kolbe may be small in size, but he’s big on personality! This spirited little guy was surrendered to us when his previous family struggled to meet his exercise, mouthing, and training needs. Now, Kolbe is searching for an experienced, adult-only home that can provide him with the structure and routine he craves. Kolbe is incredibly friendly and his tail is always wagging! His excitement is contagious, and he has the most adorable smile when he's happy. However, when Kolbe gets anxious or playful, he can sometimes grab random objects or people's clothing. He’ll need a family that is dedicated to helping him navigate these behaviors and avoid situations that could overstimulate him. For this reason, Kolbe would do best in a home without children, small dogs, or cats. We are currently assessing how he interacts with large dogs, so we'll provide updates as we learn more. Kolbe loves working for treats, receiving butt scratches, and playing structured games of fetch and tug. He will require a few visits and training sessions at Dog Tales to ensure a smooth and successful transition to his forever home. Upon arrival, Kolbe was diagnosed with Leptospirosis. After undergoing intensive treatment, Kolbe has made a full recovery from the infection, but his kidneys were damaged. He has been diagnosed with early-stage chronic kidney disease (Stage 3). At this time, he is stable, with no symptoms aside from needing to urinate a bit more frequently than usual. His condition is being closely monitored, and he does not require any medications at this stage. However, Kolbe should be fed a prescription kidney diet to help slow the progression of his condition. Kolbe is a sweet, loving boy who just needs the right family to help him continue to thrive. Could that be you?

Story
Meet Dottie - a joyful, resilient soul with a heart full of love to give. Dottie came to us under heartbreaking circumstances after her beloved owner passed away. With no family able to provide the care she needed, Dottie was at risk of euthanasia—until we stepped in to give her a second chance. And what a gift it’s been to get to know this special girl. Despite the upheaval in her life, Dottie's loving and cheerful spirit shines through. She greets each new day with a wagging tail and a heart full of affection. Whether she’s meeting new people or soaking in the sunshine, her happy-go-lucky demeanor is simply contagious. Like many of us, Dottie has her quirks. Car rides make her a little uneasy, and she can be cautious in unfamiliar situations. But once she feels safe, her true personality blossoms—playful, cuddly, and oh-so-sweet. Her dream day? A long nap on a soft bed followed by her absolute favourite thing in the world: belly rubs! Dottie has had positive experiences with children, though her enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much—so a home with teens or older would be best. Medically, Dottie is on the mend and receiving the care she needs. Dottie is on a liver supplement to manage previously elevated liver enzymes, which have since stabilized. Ongoing bloodwork will be important to continue monitoring these levels. Dottie is ready to start her next chapter—a chapter filled with love, stability, and the warmth of a forever family. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will adore you endlessly, Dottie may be the perfect fit.
