It’s always a good day in the hay when our Otis is around! That’s right—this adorable guy was named after the famed Barnyard cow because he is sturdy, goofy, and a total main character. Otis was saved from being slated for euthanasia at a local shelter. His skin was in terrible condition due to past neglect, and he seemed a little bit haunted by his experiences, but the great news is that his body and spirit are already on the mend. Otis is an incredibly loving dog with a soul full of gratitude. He always presents a gentle and friendly temperament, even when faced with uncomfortable situations like getting shots and medicated baths. He bonded with both of his foster parents right away, too. We can’t wait to see Otis get through his skin treatments, lean into a little bit of stability, and eventually thrive in a forever home. With eyes as blue as the Texas sky, it’s no question as to how this fella got his name. But did you know that for the first year of his life, he couldn’t even see out of them? Azul was born with bilateral entropion, a common trait found in Shar Peis. As a result of his chubby eyelids rolling inward, his eyelashes would constantly rub against his corneas. Owwie! Fortunately, we were able to perform corrective surgery, and now Azul looks like a movie star! Since the procedure, his vibrant personality has come to life – he spends his time romping around with the other dogs in his foster home, tossing his toys, and just being a lover!! This roly-poly pup is also crate trained, potty trained, and treat-motivated. He keeps his kennel clean, but he always prefers to be by your side. He jumps up on the couch (without scratching the leather) and the truck bed with ease. Azul is also a record-fast trick learner, and learned “sit” in about two minutes! If you’re interested in meeting this squishy ball of fun, apply to meet him! We love our Azul!
