He was found outside someone’s house and simply stayed, as if he believed that if he waited long enough, the right person would open the door. Maybe he was waiting for kindness. Maybe for love. Maybe for a place where he could finally belong. Squish eventually came to APA! from a community along the Texas/Mexico border that couldn’t care for him, but even now, he carries that same quiet hope.
