Story
Hi! I’m Winchester, but my friends call me Winny. I’m an 8-year-young, 54-pound Doodle mix with a sweet, loving nature and a heart full of affection. I enjoy gentle kisses, warm hugs, and being close to my people. When I get excited, I may jump up to say hello, so my foster family is helping me practice keeping all four paws on the floor.I’m an easygoing boy who enjoys the simple things in life — a stroll around the neighborhood, some time in the yard, a good tennis ball session, and then a cozy nap at home. I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and I know “Kennel-up,” “Sit,” “Stay,” “Leave-it,” and “Shake.” I’m also comfortable with grooming, dry quickly after a bath, and have a non-shedding coat that helps keep my home tidy.I spent my life in one loving home, so I’m especially drawn to the comfort of close companionship and a familiar routine. When it comes to meeting new dogs, I do best with a slow, thoughtful introduction so I can feel comfortable and make a good first impression. I do well with kids, but because I can be jumpy when excited, a home with older children may be the best fit for me.If you’re looking for a loyal, well-mannered companion with a gentle spirit and lots of love to give, I may be the perfect match for your family.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
