He’s a sweet boy. Very smart, loves to play fetch, loves to lounge. His herding instinct has made it problematic with friends and neighbors . He’s nipped the neighbors on a few incidents. Nothing major and it is not aggressive. But we are concerned if it happens again he would have bigger consequences with the city. Alfie would do great with a large yard and older kids

He is truly a dream companion who loves nothing more than being with his people. Whether he’s relaxing on the couch soaking up pets, playing with friends at the dog park, joining you for a walk, or curling up beside you at bedtime, Moe is happiest when he’s part of the action. Moe is an absolute love bug who genuinely wants to make his people happy. He forms strong bonds with his family and has the kind of loyal, affectionate nature that makes him feel like he’s always been yours. He loves squeaky balls, chewing on bones, enrichment activities, car rides, and spending time with the people and animals he loves. Moe is wonderfully well-mannered in many ways. He is fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, rides beautifully in the car, and knows several commands including sit, come, down, shake, outside, potty, and even car ride. If you’re heading out for an adventure, Moe would be thrilled to tag along. He enjoys riding with his people and is content relaxing in the car while waiting for them. Moe gets along beautifully with people, other dogs, and even cats. While he enjoys canine companionship, he does not require another dog in his future home as long as his people are around most of the time. He can occasionally be protective of toys around other dogs, but overall he is social, friendly, and loves having friends to play with. Moe is comfortable being crated when needed, though he would much rather be with his family. One area where he will need continued support is his separation anxiety. Moe has a fear of being left behind and may bark or pace when left alone. His foster family has begun working on building his confidence, but his future family should be prepared to continue helping him learn that being alone is safe. Because of this, he would thrive in a home where someone is home much of the time or where he can accompany his people on many of their adventures. Moe has also experienced some mild tummy sensitivity and is currently doing well on a gentle diet. His future family should simply be mindful of maintaining a diet that agrees with him. Moe is the kind of dog who will fill your days with companionship, laughter, and unconditional love. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side through life’s adventures, Moe may be the perfect match for you.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home.
