JERSEY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Jersey and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Jan. 25th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring, MD (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!     Name:    Jersey       Best Guess for Breed:   Sheltie and terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:    2 months as of 1/21/26          SEX:    Female   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):    6.2 bs as of 1/21/26   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Jersey is Looking For:   Hiya! I'm Jersey! I'm ready to pack my bags and find my very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your home and your heart for me?What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has spent time in foster care. Puppy Vetting Requirements:  Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than May 21, 2026. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. Story
Herman is a rescue dog that is approximately 6 years old. He's a great dog, and we're sad to have to part with him. We recently had kids and can't keep up with the demands of kids, jobs and a dog. Herman doesn't need much, just an hour or two of attention and good window to look out. He likes walks but doesn't need one. He likes to play ball or chase, a car ride with open windows, but what he really likes is to sit and watch people, cars, nature or anything out a window. He gets a little nervous around strangers at first and sometimes stray dogs, but he is not aggressive and has never bit anyone. He can be independent, a lap dog or anywhere in between. He's mostly lived in an apartment, but has also lived in a house with a yard. He's house broken, trained to sit and has all his shots up to date. He typically goes out three times a day, and routinely goes 10 hours alone in the house during tHerman is a rescue dog that is approximately 6 years old. He's a great dog, and he day.

This little guy is absolutely precious and darn near perfect !! Sad story. His owner was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so he asked his vet to find a wonderful home for Tuk. And that's just what we aim to do. This little guys is approx 3-4 years old, neutered, completely house trained and leash trained. He's very good with people, kids and other dogs. Loves to lay in his kennel for comfort . Bonds very quickly with his people . Currently he's in a foster home in Memphis, Tn. Meet Sir Edward! He is (approximately) 6 years old and a 20-25 pounds full grown. Edward is from our most recent hoarding case and dogs DNA tested from the household were a smorgasbord of breeds (Coonhound, Sheltie, Lhasa Apso, Russell mix, etc, etc). Sir Edward is full of life and full of himself! He enjoys the company of other animals and LOVES to play. He has been exposed to kittens, puppies, and dogs of many ages and sizes, but not all love his playful excitement. He is still learning the ways of the world in regards to kennel, potty, routine, and just being a dog. He will need an adopter with patience and the resources to teach him these things. Sir Edward has some herding tendencies, so no young children please. A fenced in yard is preferred - he doesn’t know how to walk on a leash yet! Adoption application can be found on our website!
