Come meet Ginger SNAP and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (01/26) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904)! Name: Ginger Snap Best Guess for Breed: Corgi and shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 6 years as of December 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 37 lbs Gets Along With: Ginger Snap does well with other dogs. We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them. Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Ginger Snap is Looking For: Her forever home! This super cute stubby legged little girl was thrilled to be rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. She's eager to get her very own humans for long sniffy walks and romps in parks and to explore her new world! Trying all the toys to see which she likes best sounds good, as do quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. In addition to joining you on daily walks, Ginger Snap would enjoy having some canine friends to play with. this lady prefers dogs who are playful, but mellow. At six years old big, rambunctious dogs and bouncy puppies may overwhelm her. But you know what she wants most of all? To know she's safe and loved and under her own roof. To know where she belongs, to be a cherished part of the family. In exchange, she offers all the affection she's stockpiling in the shelter and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is Ginger Snap the one for your home? What My Foster Says About Me: Ginger Snap is an absolute sweetheart. She has a very “soft mouth” and takes treats lightly, even if it’s chicken and she’s excited. Further, she is happy and relaxed to receive pets from anyone we have passed, from being “mauled” by kids off of the bus who gently pet her head in excitement. Ginger Snap has had zero accidents in my apartment and will go by the door or alert you when she needs to go outside. When we return from walks she waits so that I can clean her paws. She shows no interest in chewing things or getting into areas where she isn’t allowed. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
