Story
If Pippa's unique ear-style doesn't melt your heart, her sweet personality sure will! Pippa is a 35-lb, one and a half year old low rider. We obviously don't know what she's mixed with, but she has the physique of a corgi and the coloring of a border collie, and the energy level of a playful potato. She is goofy, sweet, and smart; happy to lounge on the couch and sunbathe in the grass one minute, then a full-on play machine in the next (in short, joyful bursts). She bonds deeply with her person and would make the perfect sidekick to whomever is lucky enough to be her family. She's a little unsure of new noises and hesitant of new people at first but once she warms up, her silly, snuggly personality shines brightly. She's crate-trained and mostly potty-trained. She walks well on the leash but can't seem to make up her mind about which side to walk on! Pippa would thrive in a home with a friendly and confident resident dog buddy, a gentle human who is home most of the day, and an outdoor space (yard, patio, balcony, or nearby park) to sunbathe and stretch her short little legs. If you live in DC/MD/NoVa and are looking for a loyal shadow with laid-back energy, playful heart, and ready to be your best hype woman-fill out an application below to adopt Pippa! https://forms.gle/6Tg4DPk8zc516fAg6

Story
Please contact Anna Waldman (anna.waldman@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet girl looking for a fresh start LAVENDER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Lavender          Best Guess for Breed:   Corgi/Sheltie Mix    Best Guess for Age:   3 years as of July 2026          SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   17 lbs as of July 2026   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Watch Lavender explore the DMV on her Foster’s Instagram: @adoptme_arlington    Special Adoption Considerations: Lavender was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina.  She has not been well socialized with new people and has lived her whole life with other dogs.  New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety.  She will need a patient adopter who can give her time to come out of her shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place.    Lavender is Looking For:    A forever family! All she asks for is some toys, treats, and maybe even a soft bed. Given her young age, she will need mental and physical stimulation and time to play with doggie friends. What My Foster Says About Me:   Lavender is a super sweet 3-year-old Corgi/Sheltie mix who is slowly but surely coming out of her shell! Weighing in at a perfect 17 pounds, this gentle girl is leaving her past behind and discovering just how wonderful a loving home can be.   She has been the absolute perfect co-working partner, happily snoozing on her bed all day. She also loves quietly following my two senior resident rescue dogs around the house without making a peep, taking great cues from them on how to be a brave and confident pup.   Thus far, Lavender has been an incredibly easy addition to the home. She sleeps all through the night curled up in her crate and has been doing a fantastic job going to the bathroom outside on our daily walks.    Best of all, it only took her one day to feel comfortable enough to start snuggling up on the couch with us!   While she’s been wonderful with kids and adults at adoption events, she may need a little extra time and patience getting used to the bustle, traffic, and city noises around the D.C. and Arlington area.   Every single day she is getting braver, and she would love nothing more than to snuggle with you all day long!   She would make the perfect addition to any home willing to give her a little patience as she adjusts to life in the DMV!   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet boy ISO fresh start and love! ECHO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Echo        Best Guess for Breed:  Corgi and terrier mix  Best Guess for Age: 7 years as of July 2026          SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  13 lbs   Gets Along With:  Echo does well with other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:    Echo was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina.  He has not been well socialized with new people and has lived his whole life with other dogs. In addition, he only has vision in one eye and may be deaf. Being outside on a leash is a scary experience for him.  He will need a patient adopter who can give him time to come out of his shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place.    And because he is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes. You may notice that his right eye is smaller than the left. It seems like it has been shrunken for a long time. It doesn't bother him and the vet's recommendation is to leave it alone. He can see out of his left eye but his vision is limited. We also believe he is deaf.   Echo is Looking For:   His forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! One where he is a cherished part of a family. He's very sweet, and SO ready to be a Real Dog.Extra patient and loving humans who introduce him to new places and people at his pace are exactly what he wants! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. You know what you get out of adopting a dog like that? An incredibly sweet and grateful dog who gives you all those adoring gazes, all the love and loyalty in his body, for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one for you? Are you his new chapter and forever home? What My Foster Says About Me:  Echo is a sweet boy who seems hopeful about the future. Every time I’d look at him in the backseat on the drive home, he’d wag his tail. He isn’t comfortable walking on a leash. When he’s scared, his instinct is to lay down and freeze. If you sit with him and give him a moment, he’ll timidly army crawl to you with his tail wagging.     Echo is cautiously confident inside but freezes when taken outside. We've created a small zone for him in the yard and he's working on becoming more confident there. He is very smart, food motivated, and eager to please. It's amazing to watch him mentally mapping out his little outdoor space.   He met several kids at the adoption event and did really well! I think he’d be fine with older children. He’s sleeping well and likes his crate. He’s a very resilient dog and I think he’ll be a really rewarding dog to adopt.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
