Story
Thyme was brought in by a good Samaritan wanting to see if we could help with him. Of course we said yes. He is a sweetie. As you can see from his pictures he is beautiful. He's a very happy puppy but still needs a forever family to love and take care of him. He has been fully vetted, up to date on all shots and will be neutered before going to his forever home. He loves to play and is good with kids and other dogs. Not sure about cats at this time. Won't you think about adopting this sweet young pup? He will make a good family member with all of his love and happiness that he has to share. Thyme is being fostered in TN but not to worry because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. The transport fee is included in the adoption fee as well.

Story
Name: Citra Sex: Female Estimated Age: 3-4 years Best Guess for Breed: Border Collie Mix Weight: 59lbs Good With: Citra is good with other dogs as long as she has the proper introduction. We are not sure how she does with kids or cats, but happy to test her out for you! About Citra: Citra is an adorable 4 year old border collie mix who is incredibly smart and loves to learn new tricks. Fun facts: she knows over 15 commands and is working on several more, she’s a mozzarella cheese aficionado and butt scratches are her favorite! She also loves sunbathing - she can go for hours without moving from a sunny spot! Please read more about her below! CITRA’S PERFECT MATCH: PERFECT FAMILY: A home with 1-2 adults is ideal. Citra needs crate time when guests come over, but can warm up with a slow introduction and some treats. Because she is shy, we are recommending she not go to a home with small children. She can be quite scared of other dogs and cats, and would do best as the only dog in the home. However, she has been working her hardest with us to overcome her fears, and has shown lots of progress recently! PERFECT HOME: One with a fenced in yard away from the bustling city. EXERCISE NEEDS: Citra enjoys long walks on the leash and rolling in the grass belly side up at the park. She could play fetch and tug all day long with her humans! However, she is also very content to lounge around the house. She is such a playful pup and would love to learn new games and activities! She loves untangling a towel to get to her food, and that tires her out just as much as a walk! She should not be taken to dog parks. BEHAVIOR IN HOME: Citra is a sweetheart. She loves to play with her humans and then take naps on the couch or in her crate. She is slowly but surely learning how to interact with new humans, but it takes a lot of treats and patience to gain her trust. Once she gets comfortable, she would love nothing more but to snuggle up with you all night long. She is quiet and comfortable in her crate, knows the “place” command, and does not have accidents in the home. CRATE: Citra loves her crate, she will sleep and relax there during the day and while her humans are not at home. She also sleeps in there all night long! Color Match: ORANGE - Goofball (Socially Motivated) Dog Personality — Will work for what they want, but are not as committed to pursuing their own agenda; these are considered moderate-persistence dogs. Adopter Personality — Interested in doing some training and can provide regular interaction and activity. If you think that Citra might be your perfect match, apply today!July 24, 2024, 8:01 am

Story
Vince is a sable collie boy that is about six years old, and he is quickly learning how to enjoy life!  When he came into Collie Rescue, he was about 15 lbs underweight, did not understand how to play, and wasn't really sure what steps were.  Vince now has a very healthy appetite and has filled out nicely. He loves to run and play, and has quite a bit of energy.  He'll need some leash training, since he will pull and bark when he sees other dogs on a walk.  Vince follows his foster family everywhere -- super eager to please others and be close to people who care for him.  He also loves to meet new people!  He is super-sweet, but he can also  be a bit of a spaz when he gets excited!  Vince is a great dog who deserves a wonderful home.If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. This fee helps us to cover (and sometimes only partially cover) the expense of providing each dog with a Health Exam, Rabies/DHPP vaccines, Heartworm Test, Heartworm Preventative, Flea & Tick Protection, Microchip, Neuter/Spay, a Bath and any other medical needs.  Thank you for your consideration in adopting a collie in need!!! Story
This is Titan!  He is a young collie boy, who was born in March 2023.  Titan is a sweet boy, but he is a little hesitant with new things, shy with new people, and needs time to adjust before his nervousness dissipates.  But once he adjusts, he is great and super friendly!  He LOVES other dogs, so we would like to help him find a home with another young dog so they can play together and have fun!   He's a big guy, weighing about 65 lean pounds.  Titan has a gorgeous caramel coat and a classic white mane.  He has a long stride and is fast, sprinting across the yard in pursuit of acrobatic squirrels! Titan is a very active and playful pup - always in motion and loves to run.   He is not a big barker, and he is learning how to retrieve.  He enjoys toys, but you'll have to watch him around socks and small plush toys because he thinks they are for eating. He's learned several commands, like "sit," "down," and responding to his name.  He's housebroken and crate-trained, and is a good eater.  Ideally, he would do well in a home with older children (teenagers). Please take a look at his sweet photos and let us know if you're interested in adopting sweet Titan!  If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Story
Bea was born in February 2023, so is about 18 months old.  She has a thick, full, sable coat and is just now learning about the world.   This sweet girl has had a rough start.  As a puppy, her original owner got very sick so she spent most of her time alone in the kitchen, relying on family and friends to come over once a day to feed her and take her out.    Now she is in a foster home, and Initially, she was somewhat anxious about being in the new environment.  It took a few weeks, but she started to relax, slowly got used to things, and to trust her people.  When meeting new people, Bea does not like to be approached but she’ll slowly come to sniff and check them out – on her own terms.  When something “new” is introduced to her environment, she does get anxious and a bit barky.  For that reason, we are looking for a quieter environment for Miss Bea.   Bea is very docile in the house.  She finds her spot to watch things, snooze or just work on her bone. Out in the backyard, she’s looking for squirrels or chasing her ball.  She’s just learning how to walk on leash, meet other dogs, and see the world.  She’s crate trained and rides very well in the car. Be sure to check out the video of Bea running and playing in the backyard! If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire.
