UPDATE: Now that I have been in Canada, I am told I have excellent leash manners. I am terrific with kids and very loving. I do need a soft food diet though. This is a top notch need of mine as my history of injuries will cause me to have significant distress if I am allowed to eat solid items like bones.With the difficulty of maintaining my diet at my current home, I need to find a new home that can accommodate my dietary needs. I do quite well when on soft food and do not get hold of any bones or hard foods.
I am a gentle and peaceful girl looking for that special family in need of snuggling moments.Here is my story to share. When I was just a tiny puppy, I had a terrible accident. I was so scared and hurt, but some kind people rushed me to the vet, and I had surgery. It was a tough time, but I survived! I healed up and started to feel strong and happy again.After that, a family took me in and let me stay on their farm. I was so grateful for a place to call home, but things weren’t perfect. They fed me raw chicken with bones, and it made my tummy very sick. I had to go through another surgery because of it. It was scary, but I’m a fighter! Sadly, the family couldn’t afford to feed me proper dog food or take care of me the way I needed, so they left me behind. Now, I’m at a shelter, waiting and hoping for someone special to take me home.You'll find me a pup eager to please and to learn, which should make training a breeze. I tend to be an obedient girl anyway.I can be curious about things, along with lively and funny, but also calm and relaxed to just hang out. Sometimes I may get a bit clingy. Probably because I need a stable home. One I know is mine forever. I really enjoy cuddles. Hope you do too. I'd enjoy leisurely hikes and walks on the beach. Just the chance to get out with my people would make me happy.I’m full of love to give, but it will be imperative I receive a proper soft diet. I must not be allowed to have bones or other tough to digest foods. All I want is a family who will care for me, feed me good food, and give me the love I’ve been dreaming of. Maybe that family could be you?

Health notes: I must have soft foods due to bowel movement needs. I like chicken, but it makes me itchy. So another protein source would be best. I have a malunion in my pelvic region from a previous injury prior to rescue.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.My adoption fee is $700.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.

Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.

Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper.
