My name is Sorme, and here is a little info about me:Breed: Shepard mix (possibly Indian Pariah/German Shepherd mix)Age: 2 1/2 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 26 kgHeight: 20 inches Country of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): Sweet, obedient, great with kids and dogs, fast learner A little about me:Hello, my name is Sorme! I’m a sunshine soul with big ears and a bigger heart! I love cuddles, treats, and learning new things that make you smile. I was found as a tiny, frightened puppy wandering the streets of the Middle East—hungry, alone, and unsure of the world around me. I didn’t know what love felt like… until kind humans took me in, gave me warmth, safety, and the care I desperately needed. Now, I’m ready to share all the love I’ve been saving up with my forever family. I’m very friendly, obedient, and a fast learner. I love people and other dogs, especially kids who like to play! I’m eager to please and always up for a game or a cuddle. My heart is full of trust and joy—I just need a loving home to give it to. I'd do well in a home that enjoys companionship and is looking for a smart, affectionate dog. If you have other pups or kids, I’ll fit right in. I haven’t met cats yet, so I’m not sure about them, but I’m open to new friends!More About Me: Energy Level: Moderate to High —I love walks, playtime, and learning tricks, but I’m also happy to relax near you after a good day. I Get Along With: Dogs: Yes! I love doggy friends. Cats: Unknown – I haven’t met any yet. Kids: Unknown – Yes! Fears: None observed, but please be patient as I adjust to my new environment. I promise to blossom with your love. Training: Leash skills: Yes, but please continue to guide me in my new home.House trained: Yes but please continue to guide me in my new home. Health Notes:I am healthy and ready to go!I have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is 800 CAD plus applicable taxes. Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience. Most passengers from the Middle East now require a fee to accompany a dog on a flight. Due to this, if a rescuer finds a flight with this requirement, we will contact you to see if you are willing to pay the passenger. You are under no obligation to do this. If not, another flight will need to be searched for, though there is no guarantee a free or lower cost one will be found. Though oft times a passenger is requesting higher amounts, the fee will not exceed $250. Our rescuers work extremely hard finding flights and spend tremendous amounts of money caring for and sending these dogs to safety. They simply haven't the extra money to cover this. Thank you for your understanding. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.  [MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2365208##

Story
Hello sweet people. My name is POONEH and here is some info about me:Breed: German Shepard/Beagle mixAge: 3 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 25 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Gentle, peaceful, eager to please, cuddly, funny, lively, clingy, curious, obedient. UPDATE: Now that I have been in Canada, I am told I have excellent leash manners. I am terrific with kids and very loving. I do need a soft food diet though. This is a top notch need of mine as my history of injuries will cause me to have significant distress if I am allowed to eat solid items like bones. With the difficulty of maintaining my diet at my current home, I need to find a new home that can accommodate my dietary needs. I do fairly well when on soft food and do not get hold of any bones or hard foods. I am a gentle and peaceful girl looking for that special family in need of snuggling moments. Here is my story to share. When I was just a tiny puppy, I had a terrible accident. I was so scared and hurt, but some kind people rushed me to the vet, and I had surgery. It was a tough time, but I survived! I healed up and started to feel strong and happy again. After that, a family took me in and let me stay on their farm. I was so grateful for a place to call home, but things weren’t perfect. They fed me raw chicken with bones, and it made my tummy very sick. I had to go through another surgery because of it. It was scary, but I’m a fighter! Sadly, the family couldn’t afford to feed me proper dog food or take care of me the way I needed, so they left me behind. Now, I’m at a shelter, waiting and hoping for someone special to take me home. You'll find me a pup eager to please and to learn, which should make training a breeze. I tend to be an obedient girl anyway.I can be curious about things, along with lively and funny, but also calm and relaxed to just hang out. Sometimes I may get a bit clingy. Probably because I need a stable home. One I know is mine forever. I really enjoy cuddles. Hope you do too. I'd enjoy leisurely hikes and walks on the beach. Just the chance to get out with my people would make me happy.I’m full of love to give, but it will be imperative I receive a proper soft diet. I must not be allowed to have bones or other tough to digest foods. All I want is a family who will care for me, feed me good food, and give me the love I’ve been dreaming of. Maybe that family could be you? Additional video: https://youtube.com/shorts/RqYSe07ez3E?feature=share. Energy Level: moderate to lowI get along with:Dogs: yes.Cats: noKids: yes. Prey drive: moderate, not observed with squirrels, rabbits, etc... UPDATE: bit of bird drive. So, no chickens please. Smile.Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: I must have soft foods due to bowel movement needs. I like chicken, but it makes me itchy. So another protein source would be best. I have a malunion in my pelvic region from a previous injury prior to rescue.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Good day! I'm MARLIN (Martin) and here is a bit of info about me: Breed: German Shepherd / CannanAge: 8 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 56 lbs / 25 kgHeight: TBDCountry of origin: IsraelHighlights: Handsome, energetic, smart, smiley, active Check out this smile! After seven long years of waiting in a shelter, I’m finally ready to bring my endless energy and happy spirit to a yard of my very own. Confiscated from a neglectful home when I was just a year old, I’ve spent the last seven years living in a local shelter. While it’s been a long wait since 2018, I’ve never lost my happy, smiley spirit. It is finally time for me to find a real, stable home environment where I can belong. I am a very smiley and happy boy! Being a smart pupper, I’ve already mastered basic training like walking with a halti, heel, sit, down, and place. I’m quite energetic and live for the outdoors, never saying no to an adventure. While I can play nicely with other dogs, being a bit selective means I’d honestly prefer to be the only resident dog in my forever home, more attention for me!I’m even a brave boy who stays calm at the vet's office. My dream is an active family with an experienced owner who can continue my training and review what I know.Since I’m happiest outdoors, a home with a yard would be perfect to help me slowly acclimate to living inside.Because I’ve lived in a shelter for so long, a house is a new concept to me, so a little time and patience on your part to help me understand that "home is a great place to be" is all I ask. See me in action: https://youtu.be/Ua0EzZr-qNc - at obedience class with other dogshttps://youtu.be/Lr8EJ2Zkc1I - at obedience class https://youtu.be/udM_Cc-MOgk - patiently waiting at the vet's office Energy Level: high Fears: unknown/none observed. Health notes:I’m healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Hello, My name is Fandogh and here is info about me:Breed: German Shepherd mixAge: 1 year oldGender: femaleWeight: 20 kg                   Country of Origin: Middle EastHighlights: Gentle, calm, social, intelligent, well-mannered I am a calm and well-mannered dog, who looks forward to meeting many Canadians and impressing them with my kindness and gentleness. My rescuer overseas says that she was visiting a family member in the hospital when she noticed a tiny puppy lingering nearby. That was me! I was alone, scared, and suffering from a deep wound on my head. Despite the pain, my rescuer noticed my quiet strength and the look in my eyes that confirmed for her that I had hope despite my injuries. My rescuer brought me food every day and slowly, I began to show trust. I would wag my tail when I saw her, letting her know that she was a special part of my day.My rescuer then heard the news that the hospital staff had called the city to have me taken away. My rescuer knew what that meant and she immediately scooped me up and brought me to safety in a quiet, private setting where I could heal and feel safe and loved. You'll find I am quite the intelligent girl and social, as well.I am now seeking a forever home in Canada as, if I stay in my home country, I am at high risk of being killed, as dogs are not welcome in this society. I am gentle, resilient, and full of love!I am a gentle & calm girl, who walks easily on a leash. Story
Greetings, my foster mom calls me Nellie even though I have previously been listed on my bio page as Nola. My foster mom and the family think I am the most marvelous dog in the world! (Well, that's maybe a bit of an exaggeration but let's just say they think I'm a really great dog.) Below are some details about me:Breed: German Shepard mixAge: 3 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 23 kgHeight: 54 cmCountry of origin: localHighlights: affectionate, well-mannered, loyal, athletic, clever, eager to please Jumpin jiminy and hoooooowlalujah. My turn has come to find a loving family of my own.Found chained to a male German Malinois in a very dirty and nasty place, so I could have puppies to sell, my owners had no regard for me as a living soul. Because I was young and couldn't get pregnant, I was beaten and very scared. I was put up for sale, so my rescuers bought me to save my life.I am a girl full of life and I am both happy and playful, not to mention social.Being the clever and eager to please girl, I will be easily trainable. The fact I love food helps. lol. You'll find me funny, as well as affectionate. I am well-mannered and have an incredibly agreeable personality. My temperament is one of loyalty and cuddliness. Caresses are like, my thing. I enjoy following my person around to get lots of love and attention.Due to my past situation, I do sometimes startle somewhat easily at loud noises or voices. Given a consistent & loving environment to nurture me along, these reactions will continue to diminish over time. I just need time to learn I am safe now. I also do not like being kept in small spaces, like a crate. I get depressed being in one.The fact I am curious and loving adds to my charm and provides for a nice disposition. I get along fine with all other dogs and if anyone acts aggressively, I just move away. https://youtube.com/shorts/iyf7oqSTrtM?feature=share. I'm can be great with older kids but I have some fears of small moving humans so it's best if I'm not in a home with young children. Haven't been around meowies but when I pass by one on walks I'm quite calm and I just look at them. If they were to run away from me, there is a likelihood that I will chase them although I've never been known to attack any being. I also love to run while I'm on leash whenever I see rabbits or squirrels but again, I'm not really a hunter so it's likely just the game of chase that interests me. That being said, I might not be a good fit in a home with a pet rabbit.Oh, I am an energetic dog too, so if you are into hiking and dog sports, I'm right there ready to take on the challenge to learn. I've not been around water enough to know whether I like being in water. The one occasion that I was at the beach, I waded into the water but it was clearly not my favourite activity. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.   Please contact Shannon at  shannonmatley1@yahoo.com or  512-581-2334 for more information or to adopt. Adoption available to Pacific NW residents too. Hi everyone, I am the lovable Lucky and here's some information nabout me: Age: 1 yearBreed: German Shepherd/Husky mixWeight: 42 lbsHeight (ground to shoulder): 24 inchesAge: 4 yearsGender: Female My rescue story starts in Texas, where I was dumped from a pickup truck on a country road. I ran after the truck to catch up with my people, but I couldn't catch up, so I stayed on the road, not knowing what to do next. The experience had me so frantic, I was running back and forth. I just couldn't believe what had happened to me. Fortunately a lovely lady witnessed this and came to my rescue and took me to her house. She also took me to the vet to get me fully vaccinated, spayed and tested for heartworm (fortunately negative). I was on my best behaviour at the vet and even did well with the car ride. I love to run with the big dogs and adore all people, including older kids. Very small kids and cats would not be good combinations, just because I would be too energetic for them or might want to chase cats - seems like a fun game! I am also house and kennel trained and walk well on leash. My foster has been teaching me commands like 'sit' using food, which is a great motivator for me. As a clever girl, I tend to get a bit bored easily, so I will adore a household with people I can interact with. My current foster says that I bring a great deal of joy to their family and I know that I will be the best dog ever for my new adopted family. Will you be the one? An adoption fee of $100 applies. ##2365208##

Story
My name is Ms. Marley and I am an affectionate, sweet, playful, smart, and quiet 3 year old gal. I am part Belgian Malinois and part Labrador retriever. I weigh about 62 lbs and I measure about 20 inches at my shoulder. There is a good chance that I will greatly benefit from a 'job' within my family home. After all, my breed background is to be a working dog. I am not likely to be a dog who sits in front of the fire and just relaxes most of the day.  When I was about four or five months old, I got a viral enteritis causing diarrhea. My then “owner” didn’t want to spend the money to get me treated so I was dropped off at the terrible shelter in Wuhan, China. The terrible shelter wouldn’t take me because they didn’t want to spend the money treating me either. A really nice lady volunteer took me to her vet to get me treated and brought me to her shelter. I have been at her shelter for about a year. I am a good girl who loves to play, being still a young pup. I get along very well with the other dogs and I also love my rescuer and her family. I so long to have a family I can call my own and to flourish with them. I'm told that I am very trainable. So far, I have some leash-walking skills and I have a nice relationship with my rescuer's young daughter. I don't know any cats so I'm not sure how I would be around them. I have been spayed, microchipped, and immunized. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. Hello! My name is MIRACLE.  Here is some information about me: Breed: Belgian Malinois Age: 2 years old Gender: Female Weight: 63 lbs Height: tbd  Meet Miracle She’s finally ready for the forever home she fought so hard to live for. Miracle is exactly what her name says—a survivor, a fighter, and a soul that refused to give up. She is: Wonderful with babies and children Dog-friendly and continuing to build her confidence—she would truly thrive with a calm, friendly canine companion Gentle, loving, and incredibly resilient Smart, eager to learn, and very food-motivated (a trainer’s dream!) Miracle is a young Belgian Malinois with a moderate-to-high energy level (about a 6/10). She enjoys activity and engagement, but also settles beautifully—whether out in public or once she’s had a chance to burn off some excitement. She would do best with an active home that can continue building on her training and help her reach her full potential—she’s the kind of dog who will truly shine with someone excited to take her to the next level. Miracle bonds deeply with her people and loves being part of the family. Because of that, she would be happiest in a home where someone is around more often—such as a work-from-home or retired household—and another dog for companionship would be the perfect match for her. She loves getting belly rubs: https://youtube.com/shorts/H-uEmPRiDGk?feature=share But what makes Miracle truly special… is what she’s been through. She was found in a devastating situation—nearly killed while protecting her puppies. Her body was covered in severe wounds, infection had taken hold, and she was fighting for her life. Multiple veterinarians recommended euthanasia. One of our volunteers even traveled to Mexico to be with her… because we didn’t want her to be alone. But when we looked into her eyes, we saw something else—strength, hope, and a will to live. She wasn’t ready to give up… and neither were we. And somehow… she made it.  Rescue Video here: https://youtube.com/shorts/KMBXVRvYGm0?feature=share Over the past several months, she has healed—not just physically, but emotionally. She’s learned that hands can be gentle, that people can be kind, and that she is safe. Through it all, she has never lost her sweetness. She doesn’t just want a home… she fought for one. A quiet place to rest.A family to love.A life she almost didn’t get. Is that you? Will you be the one she’s been holding on for? While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be charged the passenger fee in addition to this. [MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2708796##
