Mango is the kind of dog people spend years hoping to find. At just 1 year old and 40 pounds, she’s the perfect medium size—big enough for adventures, small enough to fit comfortably into everyday life. She has all the intelligence and loyalty of a shepherd wrapped up in a compact package. Mango is wonderful with kids, gentle and patient by nature. She adores people and forms deep bonds with her family, always happiest when she’s by your side. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a road trip, or simply relaxing at home, Mango is content just being part of your day. She is fantastic on leash, rides beautifully in the car, and gets along well with other dogs. While she enjoys canine friends, she doesn’t need another dog in the home to be happy—her people are what matter most to her. Mango is calm, kind, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. The type of dog who settles seamlessly into family life and makes you wonder how you ever lived without her. She does have a strong instinct to chase cats, so she is looking for a cat-free home. Mango has also raised an incredible litter of puppies who inherited her wonderful temperament, but now it’s her turn to find the forever family she deserves. If you’ve been waiting for that special dog—the one who becomes your best friend, adventure buddy, and constant companion—Mango may be the dog you’ve been searching for. Story
Clay is a 4 year old neutered male livestock guardian/shepherd mix. He loves people more than anything. He is good with cats and small dogs. He is okay with some large dogs and not others. He has not been observed around young kids. Clay is medium energy. He loves to run and play as well as cuddle and nap. He is still building confidence in new situations and with new people. He is very shy in public. At home, he is confident and always wants to be by his person's side. He will need someone willing to go slowly when introducing him to new people, animals and experiences. Clay was found on the streets of Modesto as a stray. No one claimed him. He was set to be euthanized at the shelter due to overpopulation before we took him. At the shelter, he was terrified and kept to himself in the corner, shut down in fear. In his foster home, he is lively and social.

Story
To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2026/5/26/the-sandlot-litter This litter is comprised of six German Shepherd mix male puppies born May 5 and lovingly hand-raised in foster care in a calm, nurturing environment. Their names are Ham, Squints, Benny, Smalls, Grover, and Yeah Yeah. Their mama is a petite 40-pound German Shepherd mix who is wonderful with people and other dogs. Sadly, she appears to have been overbred for much of her life, but despite that, she has been an incredibly devoted mother to her puppies. Dad is unknown. We are looking for committed, lifelong homes ready for every stage of a dog’s life — not just the cute puppy phase. When you adopt a puppy, you are also choosing to raise a rambunctious adolescent, an adult with their own unique personality and traits, and eventually a senior dog who will need patience, care, and love as they age. A puppy is a lifetime commitment. Remember: you may have many dogs throughout your life, but to them, you will be their only family. A dog’s quality of life is a direct reflection of the care, stability, love, and commitment they receive from their people. Accepting Pre-Apps Now! Available to qualified/approved adopters throughout the state and beyond, but potential adopters MUST be able to meet in person to adopt. Located in Foster, Davis CA. Puppies will be available for adoption at 9 weeks of age. $400 adoption donation: 5 month neutered agreement addendum, up-to-date on first shots, deworming and microchip included.
