Dexter is a happy-go-lucky pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loves his people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is always up for a game of tug, a wrestling match, or a few zoomies around the yard. After playtime, Dexter's favorite place is curled up on the couch for a cuddle. Because he's still an enthusiastic young pup, he'd do best with older children who can enjoy his playful energy.
Dexter is looking for a family that will continue teaching him life's important skills while including him in all of their adventures. He'd thrive with a playful canine companion to show him the ropes, but he'd also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. In foster care, he's making great progress with his leash manners, crate training, and basic obedience.
Dexter is a 6-month-old mixed breed who was rescued from a high-intake shelter. Dexter is up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and neuter. Deter is also tested with other dogs and children. He is has not been tested with cats. He is working on potty and kennel training in foster care. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
