Meet Chief! This handsome boy is ready to find his forever home! From his current foster: " Chief: Truly the most well behaved, cuddly, handsome man to ever exist. All he wants to do is people watch on my balcony and cuddle. He loves going on walks and sits so patiently to get his harness on. He has already made several friends in my complex and engages in such positive play. We have little baby Amelia who jumps in his face and tries to play with his tail and he is very tolerant of her. He is very quiet in the home and out on walks. He gets very sad when you leave and can bark for a little bit but I think being in his crate helps give him a safe space and nothing beats how excited he gets to see you when you get home. The definition of a Velcro dog but in a very respectful way. He listens so well too! Everyone who has met him gushes over how incredible of a dog he is and I truly cannot say enough positive things about him. From his previous foster: "Chief is goofball with so much love to give. He is very food motivated and learns quickly with treat training! He is the ultimate cuddle baby and will want to be next to you at all times. He is incredibly affectionate and loves belly rubs and kisses. He has done amazing with the other household dog and does not bark on our walks when he sees other dogs. He walks great on leash and loves to take it slow to sniff around! He would be so happy in a home where he can get lots of affection and attention! Chief is excited and ready to find his forever family! Previous shelter staff notes: What a sweet and loving boy! The way to Chief's heart is with food and he loves everyone he meets! He did great in a large playgroup today and had no issues with toys or treats with the other dogs! He even tolerated my dress up shenanigans and he was a very polite gentleman today! Jasmine is a wonderful girl that's an absolute lover! She is fantastic with other dogs big and small! She had no issues with food or treats with other dogs and she's got an energy that can light up the room. She is food motivated and loves to spread her happiness and love! Jasmine is the perfect princess with her basic obedience and great manners! From her current foster: " Jasmine has been the easiest dog I have ever fostered. She's incredibly sweet, super goofy, and loves booty pats and cuddling. Sticking her head out the window is her favorite thing to do, so she loves going on car rides. She's crate trained, very food motivated, and good at basic manners and commands! From her previous foster: "Jasmine is the most precious girl! She is polite and calm but loves to play! She gives big kisses and loves to jump up and give hugs. She is pretty perfect, I didn't even think she could bark until a week after having her. She will howl (sing) with you if you encourage her to as well! She loves snuggles and is super food motivated, making training super easy. Before I picked her up I was warned that she was petrified of stairs and we have made so much progress with that! She is a curious girl who loves adventures and loves splashing around in horsetooth. If you are looking for a dog that will be able to hang out with you in any setting, she is the most perfect. It will be really hard to not immediately fall in love with this girl. From her previous foster: " Miss Jasmine is the SWEETEST. She looks tough but she is the biggest teddy bear. She's learned so much in these two weeks, she responds so well to training. She loves long walks & does well meeting new dogs! Story
Rocky is a nervous but sweet boy! He arrived at our rescue partner as an owner surrender when his family could no longer afford to care for him. He did great with other dogs in the playgroup before arriving to us and play bows when he's uncomfortable. Rocky is such a sweet boy! From his foster: " Rocky is such a good boy! He loves to play and cuddle with other dogs and zip around the backyard whenever he can. Rocky is the perfect size (not too big or too small) is food motivated, potty trained, and crate trained. He's working on his socialization every single day- we've been so impressed with his friendly and gentle greetings with new people. Rocky is the life the of the party at home always wresting with the other dogs and making us laugh with his silliness. Rocky is still a puppy at heart with all the perks of a house trained dog! He is also the biggest cuddle bug with humans too. Anyone would be lucky to have him! Rocky started his journey in Colorado on the more anxious and fearful side. It has been such a joy to see him come out of his shell, socialize, and grow his confidence!Occasionally, he is scared around new men and although he isn't showing aggression towards them, we have found it is best to allow him to have slow introductions with men since sometimes he is scared. Rocky is a little bit skittish generally speaking so he does best with routine and positive reinforcement! Meet Specks! This adorable boy is an absolute delight to be around and is ready to find his forever home! Please note that Specks does not do well with change and will need an adopter who is committed to giving him the time and space he needs to decompress in his new home. He is an absolute lover boy who bonds closely with his people, but needs to have time to understand the situation first. Previous shelter staff notes: The class clown award goes to Specks! He's HYSTERICAL! He LOVES to play with toys and he gets the cutest zoomies! Specks has a HUGE smile and he is sure to keep you laughing with his silly antics! This boy brings a positive energy to any atmosphere and he's a staff favorite with his silly shenanigans! You won't be disappointed in his cutie patootie! From his foster: "lil Specs update from the days he was with me :)) Specs has THE biggest heart and just wants every ounce of love and attention you have! He is the biggest cuddle bug and will sleep next to you all night long! He has some anxieties he needs to work through, but since he's young i have no doubt they will be resolved quickly! with slow introductions and patience he will make the perfect companion for anyone! Specs does great on the leash and is not aggressive towards his kitty friends, however he gets so excited when they come to play that he scares them a bit. Since Specs is a littler nervous and tends to jump he might do best in a household without small children just so he doesn't knock them over! Overall Specs has so much love to give and cannot wait to find his forever person! Story
Lady, affectionately known as Peppa Pig (or just Pig😉) is a happy-go-lucky, snorty, sweet 4 to 5 year old pit bull terrier. She loves to play in the water, zooming around the yard, and be with her people. She is crate trained and house trained. She responds well to training and is eager to please. She walks well on a leash and loves to be outside to get her sniffs and snorts in. She loves going to daycare and all of her people at daycare. She loves a routine and knowing what to expect. When she first came into rescue, she was very afraid of new people and situations and became pretty shut down. Since being in a foster home, she has gained confidence and has really started to blossom. She is learning that life is GOOD, and she doesn't need to be afraid. She is a sweet, sweet, goofy girl, and she can be talked through things when she is unsure instead of growling. We would like to see her in a home with a strong leader that will continue to keep her safe, that she can trust to be in charge. She is a strong girl at 78 pounds, especially if she is unsure of a person, another dog, or her surroundings. For this reason, we are recommending that for now she be an only dog and no children in order to keep everyone safe and keep her on the path to success. We would love to talk with a forever home about her and answer questions. This beautiful girl is so sweet and full of love. She is ready to have a furever home.

Foosball is guessed to be a 2.5 month old Pitbull Terrier mix and is only around 14 lbs. She was found alone on the side of the road in TX. She is a sweet, energetic, smart and playful puppy looking for her forever home! She is doing great with crate and house training and learned the dog door within only a few tries. She clearly loves affection and play time. She's cat curious, as any puppy is, but is easily corrected by the cat and she energetically plays with the resident dogs. I do believe she will have a more dominant personality and will do best in a home that gives her mind good stimulation. Foosball is ready to live the good life in her forever home and will make a great addition to a loving family!

Story
Meet Honey, a sweet and playful dog who will steal your heart with just one wag of her tail. She is guessed to be an Pitbull mix. This young 1-2 year old, is a true gem with a heart of gold. As an altered and fully vaccinated dog, Honey is healthy and ready to move on her way to proper socializing and learning about how to play with other dogs, making her the perfect addition to any loving family. Although she has a few canine friends she loves, she hasn’t had proper socialization, so she’s a little turkey when first meeting a new dog. A slow intro and going very slow will be necessary to give her the right start with new dogs. She comes on too strong and quick and doesn’t have boundaries, which can be off putting to other dogs sometimes. So, for now, we think she would do best as an only dog but she definitely has the ability and potential to learn how to play well with others, she just hasn’t yet been taught how! Once she learns some proper socializing we’re confident she can get along well with others! Honey has a gorgeous golden coat that shines in the sun. She loves to snuggle up and relax, and her favorite pastime is cuddling with her humans. This adorable pup is also great with kids, making her an ideal companion for families with little ones. She will gladly join in any game of fetch or tug-of-war. Honey's friendly and outgoing personality will quickly make her a beloved member of any household. Not only is Honey a loving and fun companion, but she is also on her way to being a very good girl, making her a pleasure to have around. Whether it's a trip to the park or a lazy day at home, Honey will be by your side, ready for any adventure. Don't let this amazing dog slip through your fingers, come meet Honey today and make her a part of your forever home!

PERSONALITY A more perfect pintsize pup, one would be hard pressed to find. T-Bell is a petite girl but don't let her size fool you, her love of life and all things dog is XL. T-Bell is as sweet as she is small. One of T-Bell's most impressive talents is her ability to jump...super high. While this is great for catching balls and playing with other dogs it does mean her new home will need to have a tall and secure fence. Despite having a rough start to life she greets each new person and situation the same way she greets every new day, with curiosity and exuberance. One could not ask for a better partner in crime as T-Bell is a total social butterfly. She also enjoys cuddles, sunbathing, toys and other dogs. Overall T-Bell is a truly wonderful, happy girl who is ready to share her big heart and even bigger personality with a furever family. GROOMING NEEDS T-Bell has short fur and needs only basic grooming. Monthly baths, bi-weekly nail trims and brushings are all T-Bell needs to be her most handsome. That said, she is always up for a little extra grooming TLC. Did we mention that adorable underbite?! *Please note, we have witnessed some resource guarding around food with other dogs from T-Bell. From her awesome foster: " Taco-Bell (t-bell) is such a sweet pup. She has a little bit of anxiety at times with new people, especially men, but warms up very quickly if greeted slowly! She thinks she is a lap dog and loves to be cuddling by you. She is also a velcro dog and will love to follow you around. She struggles with her anxiety a little bit in the crate as well, so I have been leaving her out and she just hangs out on the couch and hasn't been destructive at all. She's pretty much potty trained and has just had a few accidents because we didn't get outside in time. Overall, she is a big love bug and would do great with an active lifestyle because she can be full of energy! Ellie is very sweet with humans although I do not recommend having other pets in the home, she plays too rough. She isn't the greatest on a leash as she has been living on a farm most of her life. But she is smart and not too old to learn. She's got the funniest personality ever. She will make you laugh!
