This is a curtesy post so If you would like to meet Shelby Please contact her Foster mom directly at knadeau2099@gmail.com, Thank you! A little about her: - Name: Shelby - Breed/mix: American Staffordshire Terrior/Pitbull - Age: 3-5 - Sex: Spayed Female  - Weight/size: 47 pounds - Location: Woodbridge, CT Temperament: Shelby is an affectionate dog who loves cuddling, chewing bones, and going for walks. She warms up slowly to new people. Older children 12+, as she is a good size and strong player. Shelby sleeps in a crate every night and uses it throughout the day for naps when I need to run out. She knows sit, down, turn, come, and her name. We’ve also been working on place, wait, stay, loose leash walking, e-collar basics, and muzzle training, all of which she’s taken to well. She has boarded with our dog trainer and does great in that environment too. It’s clear she had little to no training before we found her, but she is a quick and willing learner. Get along well with dogs, proper intros needed, please no cats. She is a low energy dog. A few short walks a day and she is ready to be a couch potaoe. Health: Fully vaccinated through Montowese Veterinary Clinic and Spayed. No other health concerns, the vet says she is in good health ##2816498##

Story
Meet Peanut Butter, a smart, affectionate Connecticut girl ready to find the person who will bring out her very best. Peanut Butter is currently completing a board-and-train program with Coaching 4 Paws And we are desperately looking for a foster or adopter to take over when her board and train program is complete which is rapidly approaching. We would hate to have to keep her in boarding and lose all of the momentum she has gained. Peanut Butter is making excellent progress in her training. She has been working on heel, place, thresholds, leash manners, impulse control, sitting on cue, recall, and building duration and distance. She is learning to approach boundaries and new expectations with greater confidence. She is athletic, curious, food motivated, and incredibly quick to learn. She loves engaging with people and has plenty of personality. She would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys building a genuine relationship with their dog through training, activity, and time together.   The wonderful news is that her foster/adopter will not be taking this journey alone. Coaching 4 Paws is offering lifetime training support to Peanut Butter’s future foster and forever family, helping everyone continue to learn and succeed together. This girl thrives when her mind and body are engaged. She has done well with other dogs but we would prefer that she is the only dog in her household. Because Peanut Butter is athletic and an exceptional jumper, a secure six-foot fence is strongly preferred.  Her ideal foster or adopter will Have experience with intelligent, active dogs Enjoy walks, hikes, training, and other shared activities Provide consistent rules, routines, and boundaries Continue practicing the skills she has learned Give her time and patience as she adjusts Support both her training and her emotional well-being View training as an ongoing way to strengthen their bond Could you be the person that can give Peanut Butter her chance? If you want to make all the difference for a dog who needs you and you think you are a potential match or can commit to fostering her while we find that person, PLEASE contact us at info@spottydogrescue.org to learn more and arrange a meeting.  ##2755425##
