Story
Woodstock   Male, Labrador retriever/pit bull terrier mix, Age 4 months (12/25/2023), weight 25 pounds   Say hello to Woodstock, a brave little survivor who, along with his brother Snoopy, was found making his way in the wild woods of Tuscaloosa, AL. Now safely snuggled up in a foster home, this sweet pup is on his way to finding a forever family to shower with love and loyalty.   Woodstock might be a bit shy and cautious when you first meet, but give him a little time, and he'll show you just how playful and loving he can be. He enjoys belly rubs, treats, and his collection of squeaky toys. He's also great at making friends with other dogs and loves to play, though his experience with cats remains a mystery. He's not too high-energy, but he loves a good play session followed by cuddle and nap time.  He's just a baby still.   Woodstock is looking for a forever home that will continue to nurture his confidence and gently introduce him to new experiences at his own pace. He's a sweet puppy who narrowly escaped a perilous fate and now dreams of a family to shower with his warm puppy love. Another dog to be his buddy and look up to and a fenced yard would be a perfect fit. If you’re ready to guide and love this tender-hearted boy, Woodstock can’t wait to meet you and start a new chapter filled with happiness and cuddles!   Good with other Dogs Cats unknown Kids unknown     * The adoption fee of $325 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip and transport fee.   * The application is the first step in all inquiries and adoptions     Canine Compassion Fund - Online Adoption Application www.caninecompassionfund.org/Forms/OnlineAdoptionApplication   * Additional information is available on our site caninecompassionfund.org May 3, 2024, 7:54 pm

Story
Meet Dillon. He's a sweet and energetic 3 year old pitbull mix at around 68 lbs. He absolutely loves love and is a huge cuddle bug. In the time we have had him, he has never known a stranger and wants scratches from every person he meets. He loves any chew toy he can get and will chase any ball you throw though he doesn't quite understand the concept of fetching yet. He is still working on his manners but is very quick to please. We think he would be happiest as a solo dog mainly because he wants all of your attention and love. Story
Cookie was surrendered to us when her owner could not have more than 2 dogs in the apartment. She is a happy go lucky friendly girl. She is 9 months old this month.( April). She is spayed and completely vetted. She can jump 6-8 ft straight up without a running start so even a fenced yard won't keep her in. We prefer a family that leash walks their dog. She was not properly socialized as a young pup and will need a kind loving patient owner to show her the ropes and how to be a dog. She is finally walking on leash better and will go through a doorway now. We have 12ft high fence in our outdoor runs so we let her run about, but still watch her as she might even try to climb out if left unattended. You must have a current Vet reference from a Vet that knows you. A dog is a 15 year minimum commitment. She is very active and would be great agility dog. She only has half a tail because of "happy-tail" syndrome. Only serious inquiries only over 25 years of age. Online adoption form at www.fobac.org and you can email us at fobacadoptions@gmail.com or call the shelter at 860-828-7055. $100 adoption fee
