Story
Meet Skye, a beautiful German Shepherd/Lab mix! 🐾 She is a super energetic, playful, and loving dog who would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise, attention, and mental stimulation. She is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions. Because of her energy and strength, she would do best with an experienced adopter who understands the needs of large, active breeds. She does have food aggression/resource guarding, so she needs a confident, experienced pet owner who is willing to work with her on this behavior and provide appropriate structure and management around food. For this reason, she may not be the right fit for a first-time dog owner or a home with young children. With the right person, patience, training, and consistency, she has the potential to be a wonderful companion. She deserves a home that understands her needs and is committed to helping her thrive. ❤️ Ideal home: An experienced dog owner, preferably active, with the time and

Story
Bishop - Needs Foster or Forever home Male Pit bull type dog About 6 years old House trained Crate trained Walks well on a leash Knows basic commands Can live happily with another dog of similar size Needs a home with older children Up to date with vaccines Neutered Bishop came to us as an owner surrender. He had been rescued from a bad situation by a Good Samaritan who could not keep him. We saw him advertised on a free pets' site and contacted the owner, who was thankfully was willing to work with a rescue. After spending time in boarding while we searched for a foster home for him, Bishop has spent time in foster-based training. He has done great! Bishop loves his walks, and needs a family who will take him on adventures and continue to introduce him to new people, places, and things. He would love a family who is at home for at least part of the day - a stay-at-home parent, a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home would be ideal for him. He is happiest when he is with people. He is an absolutely wonderful, happy, affectionate dog who will make a wonderful family member.
