Story
🐾 Meet Reno! 🐾Reno is a 2-year-old pitbull weighing around 60 lbs with a big heart, a playful personality, and lots of love to give! 💙Reno has lived with other large dogs, adults, and kids ranging from newborns to teens. He enjoys playing with other dogs, though he can be a little shy at first after being bullied by dogs in his previous home. Once he feels comfortable, his fun-loving side shines through! 🎾🐶He is house trained with only the occasional accident and is crate trained as well. In fact, Reno is happiest relaxing in his crate while you’re away. If left loose alone, he can get anxious and may tear things up, so crating is recommended when nobody is home.Reno is very friendly with people and will happily announce visitors with his bark. He still believes jumping up to greet people is the best idea ever, so he could use a little work on manners. He already knows sit, down, stay, and give paw! 🐾Like many pitties, Reno LOVES toys — balls, squeaky toys, tug toys, and bones are some of his favorites. He also enjoys digging and absolutely does not appreciate rainy weather. ☔😂Reno walks on a leash but still thinks pulling is part of the adventure, so continued leash training would help him succeed. He gets excited around dogs, people, kids, and cats. While he has lived around cats, he has been known to chase outdoor cats and can be less friendly with unfamiliar cats.Baths are tolerated because apparently humans insist on them, even though Reno thinks he smells just fine already. 😅 He’s also not a huge fan of having his feet touched and can occasionally get jealous around other dogs.Reno would thrive with a family willing to continue building his confidence and helping him polish up his manners while giving him the love and structure he deserves. ❤️Reno's adoption fee is $175. He is neutered, vaccinated, flea & tick treated, microchipped and tested for Lyme and HW. You can stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time.
