Story
Introducing Cinder! Cinder is an amazingly wonderful 2 year-old, 40lb Pittie mix who is absolutely filled with charm. Seriously, she's amazing. She's so happy, and we're already SO in love with her. We cannot even begin to tell you the amount of personality this girl has. She's one of those dogs you just have to meet to understand. Cinder is incredibly playful. Anytime, anywhere, she's down to play and will execute the perfect zoomies. Adventures? Yes! She loves them and will gladly go anywhere with you. She loves, loves, LOVES to be pet. She walks well on a leash and listens well. And she's quirky in her own way. She does parkour... we’ll go over that when you come meet her. Cinder does well with other friendly dogs (doggy sibling meet-and-greet is required). She does not do well with cats and would do best in a home without them. Cinder is the dog of your dreams. Come down and adopt her before someone else does! All of our adoptable pets are... - Spayed or neutered - Vaccinated - Blood tested - Microchipped - Flea treated & dewormed You can email us at adopt@whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com or give us a call at 412-672-8901 for more info!

Story
Meet Coco! Coco is a 2-year-old, 50-pound pittie mix with a beautiful chocolate-brown coat, a goofy personality, and a heart that just wants someone to love her. She is sweet, playful, affectionate, and truly a wonderful girl. Coco came to us through animal control after her owner passed away. She and her siblings were left abandoned in their home until animal control was able to reach them, and we aren't sure how long Coco had been on her own. Despite everything she has experienced, Coco has remained incredibly loving and eager to bond with her people. She loves playing with her squeaky toys, snuggling into her blankets, and spending time with the people she loves. Coco listens well, enjoys getting outside to run and play, and has the classic pittie smile that makes it nearly impossible not to smile back. She is playful and goofy, but she is also a big cuddle bug who loves being close to her person. Coco has experienced a lot of instability in her life, and being left behind has clearly taken a toll on her. She does experience some separation anxiety and can be fearful when she is left alone. Because of this, she needs patient adopters who understand that building her confidence and helping her feel secure will take time. A home where someone is around frequently and can help her adjust gradually would be great too! Coco has lived with other dogs and does best with larger male dogs. She would prefer a home without cats and would do well with older children who are comfortable around a playful, energetic dog. More than anything, Coco needs stability. She has been left behind far too many times, and we want her next home to be the one where she finally gets to stay. She deserves someone who will give her the patience, consistency, and love she needs to feel safe and truly at home. If you think Coco could be the girl you've been looking for, please reach out! Story
Meet Stitch! Stitch is a 9-month-old Pug/Terrier mix weighing around 35 pounds. Stitch is a playful, silly, and incredibly sweet little guy who always seems to be ready for his next adventure. He absolutely loves his squeaky toys and thinks playing keep-away from his brother is especially entertaining! Stitch and Knight are brothers and have spent their lives together, but they do not have to be adopted together. They may actually do best in separate homes where they can each grow and gain confidence independently. Stitch would likely do best with another friendly dog in his new home to give him companionship and help make the transition easier. Stitch is dog friendly and has lived with children of all ages. He is also likely to do well with cats with slow introductions. He is an affectionate, playful boy with a big personality packed into his 35-pound frame. If you are looking for a fun-loving companion who will keep you entertained with his toys, playful antics, and goofy personality, Stitch may be your guy. He is ready to find a family of his own!
