Story
Meet Artemis, goddess of zoomies, queen of cuddles! Artemis is dog-friendly, kid-friendly and perfectly playful with a snuggly sweet side that will keep you warm and cozy at night. With Rescue usually we have to guess a dogs breed— but not this girl! She had a real fancy DNA test done and the results are in— she is a unique blend of American pitbull terrier, Chihuahua, and many other breeds, Artemis is a one of a kind beauty. She’s a true texas western roundup!! This gorgeous girl is estimated to be just a year and a half old, and she currently weighs in at a slender 42 pounds. Artemis is currently fostered in a loving home, and her foster mom has nothing but wonderful things to say about her! She’s described as so sweet, and accused of “thinking she’s a lap dog,” though her snuggles are always a welcome addition to any moment. Her foster mom brags that she’s crate trained for up to twelve hours! She doesn’t have accidents indoors, and her all time favorite thing is running! “Zoomies are her thing,” her foster mom says. See her in action right here, then come back to read more about your new best friend! https://youtu.be/aS64OjmBYHI?si=DQbVZSKkJpaM4-X4 In a previous foster home, Artemis lived the family dog lifestyle alongside a three year old boy. They played, snuggled, and had a great time. Artemis adores toys, and shares them well with her humans. She likes to play fetch, and she never tears up her stuffies. She’s so precious and easy to love. She has the cutest habit of arching her back like a cat when she plays, and she uses her paws in the cutest way. With other dogs, Artemis is so playful and fun! She loves to zoom, so naturally she loves to play chase. She shares affection well with other dogs and doesn’t mind backing away from a human to let another dog into the snuggle puddle. She loves to play outside- She doesn’t mind the mud, she doesn’t mind puddles, she’s an outdoorsy girl and loves the yard 365! Artemis is also a really smart girl, capable of great training! She takes treats gently, and responds really well to direction. She’s already easy on leash, and considering her outdoorsy personality she would make an amazing little hiking buddy. She already knows “sit” and “down” and she’s shown us that she can learn “spin.” She seems to know “paw” but she’s still working on her consistency with that one. She’s such an impressive girl! Artemis is such a perfect girl and she’s ready for her perfect home! We think Artemis would do best in a home with a yard for her to zoom in. She would love to live with kids, she’s a perfect family dog! She could live with dogs, her foster mom thinks she would do best in a home with medium to large male dogs. Artemis is scared and avoidant of cats. We are willing to test Artemis with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67859a15e018abf7c8057b92 Questions? Story
**Now fostered in Olympia, WA** Meet Bluebell! 💙 This stunning, green-eyed beauty is a 45-pound young Pitbull mix with a heart as big as her smile. Literally as big as that smile! It is so hard to catch her without a smile! Bluebell is the definition of sweet and spunky — she’s outgoing, affectionate, and ready to soak up all the love and playtime life has to offer. Bluebell is confident, happy meeting new people, and always ready to greet you with a wagging tail. We have met her numerous times at the rescue and each time, she comes in as if she has known us her entire life! Everyone is a friend, and everyone exists to tell her she is the most beautiful girl in the world. (That fawn coat with those green eyes has us all goo goo gah gah) It is a sweet, innocent confidence. Despite the difficulties prior to entering rescue, she still has so much love to give and she doesn’t hesitate for a second to give it. With people OR dogs! Bluebell recently recovered from a leg injury, and now that she’s off bedrest, she’s bursting with joyful energy. Watch her run, goof around, and keep up with all the dogs here: https://youtu.be/S0Al1AEZogQ She may have a cute little walk the rest of her life and that just makes her even more special. You would need to look very closely to notice it! She’s a champion car rider, patiently shares treats and food, eats like a little lady, and is both crate and house trained. Bluebell lives with a large male dog and does fantastic with other pups — she will thrive with a doggy sibling. Miss social butterfly loves companionship! When she came for playgroup, she was with a playful energetic female, a very stoic handsome male (he likes to think he is the playgroup police lol) and a calmer female. What we were impressed with the most about her, is how she was able to adapt her play style to each individual dog's personality! A home with a yard would be ideal to give her space to run and play. One note — no cats for this girl. She thinks they are fun to chase! When it comes to kids, she’s currently living with a one-year-old infant and they spend their days together. Bluebell always loves to give her kisses, play bows, but also is respectful and gives the baby boundaries. When she met our teammate's one year old son, she was the same way! She has the routine at her foster home down. Her foster mom says she loves chew toys and Kong's filled with peanut butter. They go on daily walks with the baby on the stroller and the two dogs on leash. Those are her favorite! She has even come across new dogs on walks and done great meeting them!! Bluebell is confident, happy meeting new people, and always ready to greet you with a wagging tail. She’s a loving, lively companion who’s still learning the ropes but has all the makings of an incredible best friend. If you're looking for a joyful spirit to grow with your family, Bluebell might just be your perfect match. She is petite and full grown. Your life is about to get much livelier and happy with Bluebell in it! Apply now. Story
Let me take a second to introduce you to Kelso. He’s got everything you want: he’s funny, he’s chill, he’s handsome, he’s dog friendly, and even cat friendly! He’s an absolute winner and we give him 5 gold stars! He’s described as an old soul in a puppy body. We believe Kelso is some sort of Labrador/ Pittie mix. With rescue this is just our best guess, but we can tell you he’s 100% a good boy. He is just over 7 months old, but he is extremely well mannered. He likes to read the room, and it may take him a second to warm up— but not that long! After no time he will be asking for some attention and belly rubs. He is so curious and likes to stop and smell the roses. Kelso the explorer! Watch Kelso's video here: https://youtu.be/y9g4Eh-GxLg?si=ACnYUg3WDReHSBYt Kelso would thrive in a household with another dog. He really looks to other dogs for companionship and guidance. This handsome fellow is very clever and learns quickly, and he is very food-motivated and will do almost anything for a treat! Kelso has been around and does great with the cats and kittens in his foster home. He has learned which ones he can socialize with and which ones he needs to stay away from. Kelso is very good about sleeping in his kennel at night, and goes to his kennel on his own for naps or to chew on his favorite toy. He's not destructive and has been trusted to free-roam with the other pets when his foster parents leave. This clever boy has already mastered the doggy door and going out to potty. This amazing fellow has not had any accidents in months! Kelso loves to go on walks with his dog friends. He does very well on leash and enjoys a leisurely stroll. Kelso loves to play in the backyard too, running around with his dog friends and his toys. We love to see him stretching out to sunbathe! He is also a great rider in the car and enjoys a good outing. This soft and snuggly boy has the most distinctive coat of black and brown (almost brindle but not quite) that simply shines in the sun. His soft brown eyes are so expressive and will communicate everything you need to know. Kelso will win your heart slowly but surely - he is cautious and shy at first but soon opens up to all the pets, and a few soft stuffies and chew toys would be appreciated here too, and go ahead and throw in some treats for this positively very good boy. Kelso melts right into you with behind-the-ear scratches and snuggles, and we love to see him stretch out and relax once he gets comfy. We think Kelso looks quite regal with his pop of white at his chest and all four feet (and don't forget that wisp of white at his chin). This handsome fellow is ready to attend any formal event...whether it's in a soft and fluffy dog bed or your living room, Kelso is dressed for every occasion! Kelso is already living his best life - all he needs now is YOU! If you're looking for a sweet, silly, treat-loving sidekick who’s just as happy romping in the yard as he is napping in the sun — Kelso might just be your perfect match. Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67573a5dd21d10a23c088115 Please email katiak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
