Story
The biggest thing to know about Dexter is how radiant he is at all times. The little guy has had a smile on his face since the day we found him, and he loves doing anything and everything with people. He is currently around 5 months old and he weights about 27 pounds currently. Dexter is currently in the potty-training process. I would say about halfway there! He is 100% crate trained though. He will go in the crate and for the most part doesn’t cause much fuss when he is in there. He is in the puppy stage of his manners, so he is a bit fun around the house. He will follow you closely and excitedly hop around. As for confidence, he has a ton of it. He rides okay in the car but does whine a little bit because he really wants to be with you. Once he gets where we are going, he is the life of the party. He meets new animals with ease and fits right in as if he has known them forever. In a big group of dogs, he follows whomever seems to be leading the group, but in a one-on-one setting he’s more for the personal playful style and will lead that with whatever dog he is playing with. Dexter shows his love with kisses, if you’re close enough he lays his body right on top of you. He is super sweet and adjusts to anything we throw at him. Dexter will probably need. space to explore and run around in. Currently Dexter lives in a foster home in Texas with 3 cats and 2 other dogs. The dynamic he is currently in is vast, and gets a long and thrives with everyone in the house. Dexter is a sweet baby who is just looking for someone to show him as much love as he puts out. Dexter is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, he will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Story
Hi, I’m Teeter! I’m a sweet four-month-old pittie mix weighing in at 14 pounds. I'm on my way to becoming a medium to large-sized dog full of love and playful energy. I'm a confident girl with a lot of affection to give. I do so by giving sweet puppy kisses and staying close to your side. I enjoy cuddles, but I also like finding my own cozy spot to relax when I'm tired. I'm still in my puppy phase, so I have some learning to do, but I'm full of potential and love. My foster mom is working with me on potty training, and I’m making progress every day! At home, you'll find me comfortably lounging about and playing by myself or with my foster siblings. I absolutely adore my 8-year-old human foster sister, so if you have kids, count me in! I've already mastered crate training and feel quite at ease in my little den. I live with a cat and have acknowledged it with a bark, but I'm not the chasing type. I'm a versatile puppy who could be happy as the only dog or with doggie siblings. I think I'd thrive best in a home with a yard, where I can have lots of adventures and run around freely. I've heard people say that bringing a puppy into your life is a big deal with real challenges, and I totally get it! While I promise to give you endless kisses, wagging tails, and cuddles, I'll need you to teach me how to be the best dog I can be. I promise to try my best to learn quickly, but I'll need lots of patience and consistent training. Trust me, it'll be so worth it when I grow up to be a well-behaved, loving member of your family. I’m being fostered in Friendswood, TX and I can travel to the PNW, the East Coast, and Canada. A note about adopting a puppy from the Houston, TX area: Based on statistics, puppies from this area are one of the MOST desperate in the US. Euthanasia rates are incredibly high for both puppies and adult dogs. This precious baby is safe with us now, but there are so many more to save every single day. Our adopters truly save lives. Story
Meet Lucy! -People Loving -LOVES KIDS -Cat Avoidant Lucy is an adorable young 2-3 year old female Pittie mix who needs a loving and active home. She is about 57 lbs and very healthy. Her color is a silky gray-brown with white markings. Lucy is a great mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, American Bully, and American Foxhound. She is current on all her vaccinations and routinely has flea and tick prevention medications. She is dog friendly and does very well with slow introductions and then play time! During her assessment she actually avoided the cats and was somewhat scared of them. Before she was spayed in January 2023, she had three adorable puppies last October (Lady, Buster and Raider) and was an excellent mom. All puppies were adopted through Three Little Pitties! Lucy takes up with new people very well. She loves attention and playing fetch, and tug-o-war. She rides well in vehicles and is house trained, but does well outdoors. She loves to go on walks and plays well with other dogs. Lucy loves to be with her people and misses them when away. She is affectionate and likes to sleep near or with her owner. She often cuddles like a lap dog. Lucy has not had formal training, but she is bright and seems to be very trainable! She eats well and takes medications easily. She does not resource guard and so far has not shown a prey drive. Lucy is a great pet and will give many years of loving affection to a new owner! Lucy is currently fostered in Texas. When she transports she'll be current on shots, spayed, healthy & ready for her forever home! **Lives in an apartment **Lives with small dogs Looking for a local adopter! Hazel Mae is such a great girl; you don’t want to miss out on her! This girl is the whole package. She is so sweet and affectionate, smart, quiet, and can live with kids, cats, and dogs. Watch her video here to see some of her personality, and read on for more: Hazel is currently fostered in a one-bedroom apartment with a small female dog. Her foster mom works 12-hour shifts and Hazel is quiet as a mouse in her crate all day. She has no separation anxiety and doesn’t cry when her foster mom leaves. Hazel will still need regular walks, playtime, and enrichment activities to meet her mental and physical needs, but she can easily live in an apartment. She would also love a yard to do zoomies in, though! Hazel loves to cuddle! She is very sweet and loving. She loves to give hugs, kisses, and roll over for belly rubs! She meets new people with confidence. She is so tolerant to people and to being touched and petted. She just wants to be loved and spoiled, as she should. She would love to go with you to run errands, stop and get coffee, grab lunch with friends at the brewery, or wherever you want to take her. She loads in and out of the car on her own, and will sit quietly on your trip. I bet she would love to take trips to the beach! Hazel is great with small dogs! She lives with a small female dog in her foster home, and has lived with a small female dog before. She loves to play with them, and is not too rough. Her current foster-sibling even nips at her face and picks on Hazel, but she doesn’t mind at all. She’s so tolerant! She has been to the “small” dog park and does great there. She also does well with dogs her own size and bigger. She has a more confident and dominant personality, so we just don’t recommend she live with large dominant female dogs. Hazel has lived with multiple children in the home, ranging from babies to teenagers and does well with them all. She is not too rough or hyper, but she does jump up on people for attention. She did pass her cat test and could possibly live with a calm, dog-savvy, avoidant cat. She might try to chase a more energetic, playful cat. Hazel is crate trained, potty trained, and knows “sit” and “shake” already. She is working on her leash skills and is making good progress. She does pull a lot, especially when she wants to meet a new dog. She will need a firm handler and continued leash training. She’s not leash reactive and does well meeting other dogs while she’s on leash. She’s just very excited to meet them. She does not resource guard, but she would do best eating from a slow-feeder as she is eager to eat. We think that Hazel is a 4 year old pittie mix, but with rescue we never know for sure. What we do know is that whomever adopts Hazel is going to be blessed with endless love and affection. You will be greeted home from a long day at work with a very happy, wagging tail. If you are a local (Houston) adopter, we will reduce the adoption fee by $200 (transport costs). We would really like to see this girl stay local as her foster is very attached to her and would like to keep in touch. Don't miss out on this special girl! Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $650.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Love is so sweet and smart. She can be energetic and at night time can either be your cuddle buddy to sleep or sleep fine in a crate. She’s had some professional training. I rescued her at around 2 months, she’s just over 7 months now we believe she was born around April 23rd. She could be a pure bred but I haven’t done her DNA test. All shots up to date tick and dewormer (I have all the paperwork) She’s great around kids. She can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. I’m a single guy and travel frequently for work making it difficult to keep her. Would love to find her a good home.

Dexter is a sweet pup with a lot of life experience! He is very playful and seems to love just about every person that stops to say hello! We were told Dexter lived peacefully with a cat in his previous situation, but would do better as an only dog. He's not a huge fan of other dogs sharing his space! If you're looking for a couch potato with little bursts of energy here and there, Dexter just might be for you!

Who's the sweetest girl?! Meet Jackie, a 3-year-old pit bull mix and undeniably the sweetest girl! Jackie loves people of all sizes, especially children. She's a gentle and easygoing girl with so much love to give. Jackie came to CAWS from a local shelter where she was a staff favorite. She's a medium energy dog who needs daily exercise - she loves walks and is benefitting from extra practice while on leash, and enjoys a good game of fetch. She also loves swimming and going for rides in the car. Jackie can be a little choosy with her dog friends but can live with medium to large dogs after a proper introduction and time for them to build their friendship. She shouldn't live in a home with small dogs, cats or other animals. Jackie weighs 44 pounds, but could stand to safely gain a few more lbs. She's crate trained and house trained, and eager to find her forever home! Is it yours? If you're interested in Jackie, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Don't tell Margot Robbie, but we have the best Barbie right here! This sweet 2.5-year-old pit bull mix is ready for her starring role beside Ryan Gosling's Ken. In addition to her gorgeous smile, our Barbie is a pure entertainer ----energetic and curious, and enthusiastic about life. She has a zeal for life that is a joy to be around. This gal weighs about 40 pounds and is ready to find a forever home that will allow her to shine! Barbie hasn't had much training in her life, but we think she's a natural. She's house trained and is working on her crate training in her foster home, and she's proven herself to be a quick study at all things basic obedience. She loves car rides. Barbie gets along well with other dogs and would make a wonderful co-star with a canine friend who complements her personality. Barbie would do better with older kids and an active family that will keep her mentally and physically engaged. If you'd like Barbie to join your cast, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Hi! My name is Pibbles and I am a 5 month old pit bull x border collie (and maybe some lab?) mix pup. I am a very friendly and outgoing pup! A real social butterfly! I love everyone I meet-- adults, kids, dogs, cats. I have a moderate activity (especially for a young pup). A daily walk and a weekend hike or camping trip would be an ideal life for me. At the end of the day, I am content to snuggle down in your lap and watch your favorite TV shows. I am house-broken, crate-trained, neutered and up-to-date on my vaccinations. Oreo is a 45 pound sweet Oreo pie pup! WELL not only look like one, he is just as sweet! Oreo loves his car rides as much as he loves to be around his human. He is an almost 3 year old rescue boy who is looking for a family to make his life complete. Oreo is good inside a home and is great around other dogs and people. He is good around small dogs too! Oreo loves everyone that handles him, he would just need extra help on walks. He does great on a gentle leader when out on walks. Don't worry we can even show you how to use one! Oreo's a pro at this leash too! He is a little more reserved when first meeting new dogs, but he warms up well to playful dogs. He can play with playful dogs but he really prefers to be around his human. Meet Oreo here: https://youtu.be/YRj2XuYQwj0 He loves taking long walks and he plays great with people too! When Oreo sees you he will hop around and get really excited. He almost wears a smile on his face! Oreo is great around kids and can cuddle up with the family every night. He is currently in a foster home with another foster pup sibling too! He does great in a home with other dogs! Oreo is crate and potty trained and uses a dog door! He doesn't mind his foster has to work a regular work day because he will just hang out and wait for her to come home. We are willing to test Oreo with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Meet Laika! https://youtu.be/PbqVh7KGJjI See why Meagan loves Laika: https://youtube.com/shorts/MY3yj1W-HMk?feature=share -FRIENDLY AND PLAYFUL - AFFECTION DRIVEN -POTTY TRAINED This ridiculously happy girl is going to be an absolutely BELOVED family member for some lucky home! Laika is approximately 2-3 years old and 59 pounds of smiles! This first time mom found herself alone and pregnant in January when a kind Houstonian took her in. After raising her 9 puppies, Laika is ready for a home of her own! Laika is good with dogs- Our evaluation team had 4 other dogs in the pen with her! Typically during pups' assessment we take it easy and start them out slowly with 1 or 2 dogs. No need to with Laika! She's just a social butterfly!! Laika is good with kids age 8+ and really adores her time with people big and small! Laika is fully Potty trained! She's a bit strong on a leash (so many things to smell!) So she'll need someone willing to help her improve her leash skills so she can comfortably accompany you everywhere you go! No problems with house training but she has a lot of energy so would do best with another dog. Currently fostered in Texas- Laika is hoping to be transport eligible soon June and on her way to the PNW! Don't miss out on this amazing girl!
