Story
If love an independent natured dog, Pearl is your girl! This a low-maintenance girl who doesn’t want to be your shadow but will make you feel loved just the same. Not being the attention seeking type doesn’t mean she lacks charm though- from her looks to her easy-company, she has plenty of charm for someone who appreciates her low-key style. You were surely drawn in by her eyes, one sparkles blue and one is warm brown. She is really striking and stands proud which makes her a gorgeous scene. Plus, she has the cutest fluffy tail. In the same way people can be described as introverts and extroverts, it is very similar for dogs. If we were going to define her as one or the other, Pearl is an introvert. A self-confident introvert with great social skills who prefers to take things slow basically. With dogs, she enjoys a good romp. Her foster has shared that the dog she enjoys most is an especially big male who enjoys playing rough-and-tumble but takes breaks and is just as happy to wander around with her in the yard. Pearls ideal home would include a yard and I would even call her a yard explorer, she loves nothing more than just putzing around the yard checking out the garden, watching the birds, and occasionally making a bid for someone to play with her. She knows how to keep the peace but has motherly energy in larger groups of dogs, almost like she is sets the tone of keeping it light-hearted. No cats for Pearl though, she has the idea that cats don’t like her so she decided the feeling is mutual. She would definitely try to chase a cat if the occasion arises and cats sure do hate that. Pearl is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 64 lbs. She is in the phase of life where dogs settle into themselves which is overall marked with the easy-days. She is crate-trained, loves car rides, and is equally motivated by treats and a good “attagirl” amount of praise. Pearl will likely give her new family a touch of her introverted personality as she warms up to a new home but a little patience is all it takes for her. Before you know it that quirky personality of hers will start to shine. We would love to see Pearl in a home with a yard given how much she loves her outside time. She has basic leash skills but walks on leash are not her love language like some dogs. That independent confident nature of hers will be satisfied with the occasional zoomies and solo “adventures” in the yard. If you like your girls independent, the type that will happily spend their life with you without smothering you, and will come when you call, Pearl is your perfect match. If Pearl sound like your kind of companion, apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/64fe4d945b1d5552210f3db4 Questions? We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Meet Joe! The cutie boy with the floppy ears! We aren’t sure if he just hasn’t grown into their pointy potential or if it will be his signature trademark, but he definitely has a face and personality that you don’t want to miss out on! Joe is a shepherd mix who we believe is just around a year old! He weighs approximately 48 pounds and is still growing! Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. But one thing is for sure, Joe’s cool as a cucumber personality is something that you are going to want to experience first hand! Watch Joe in action here: https://youtu.be/WyxgQgAWJEA Joe is like the new kid in class who is nervous about making new friends but then it quickly becomes evident that he will be the coolest boy in school! When he first met our resident pups, he was shy, and allowed them to investigate him as he quietly stood there. But as soon as Camo, our confident playful male pup invited Joe to play, it was game on! Pretty soon Joe was playing with the whole pack of pups in the yard and having the best time! He currently lives with numerous foster siblings of various ages, sizes, and breeds and would do well in a home with medium energy, playful pups who will allow Joe to get used to his new normal. When it comes to cats, Joe is a chill guy, but very interested in feline friends. He doesn’t live with any cats, but when he met our housecat Biggie, he gave him lots and lots of cautiously curious sniffs. It was actually the most interested I had seen him the entire visit! As sweet as Joe is, due to his peaked interest in kitties, it would be best if he was in a home with no cats. We understand the importance of precious personal space for our kitty friends. Joe got very excited when he met Blaze and Xen (9)! He perked up those cute floppy ears and his tail began to wag! There was just something so special to him about being around kids who wanted to feed him treats and give him love! We believe that Joe would do great in a home with older children who want to have a pal to grow up with and play with in the yard! Do you have a younger, smaller child that you would be interested in seeing how Joe would interact with? Feel free to let us know and we will see how he does! We want to make sure that he is the PERFECT addition to your family! Like I stated earlier, Joe is a growing boy and needs space to run and play and stretch those long legs of his! He will definitely thrive in a home with a yard over an apartment! He meets new puppies and humans well on leash and is mastering his leash skills, so trips to the park or walking a trail would be a fun experience for this guy! If your home is missing a friend who will give back ten fold the love he receives, then Joe is your boy! He has so much life to live and so much devotion to give and he will make his new home very happy! Is Joe your newest family member? Apply for him today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6831d7179752e49ecc07254a Questions? If you appreciate the softer things in life, then you will definitely love our friend, Faith. Faith is the type of girl who makes beauty out of the mild glimmers of the world. Her eyes are soft and hold a depth that you can’t help but want to discover. Even her ears flop a bit and showcase how wonderfully unique and special she is. We believe that Faith is around a year old and a shepherd mix of some sort. She weighs approximately 46 pounds and is a growing girl. She has the most beautiful earthy soft color palate of a coat. She's a moment of fresh air and sweetness. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But nevertheless, Faith is a girl that you definitely want to meet! Meet Faith here: https://youtu.be/Z5HSy-mBFZk During our first introductions, Faith was a proper lady. She wasn’t intrusive with her greeting or eager to jump all over you! She’s definitely a polite girl who doesn’t want to come across as overbearing or desperate for attention. She observes new humans respectfully for a moment before letting her true, beautiful personality shine. And accepting gentle love to match her gentle energy. What was a beautiful thing to experience was watching Faith blossom when the other dogs came into the yard to meet her. The timidity slowly melted away and her playful nature came out to shine with tail wags and a game of follow the leader! Faith lives at home with a variety of foster dog siblings of various ages and breeds and sizes. She’s definitely a dog’s dog and would do well with other medium energy dogs that will give her the moments she needs to bloom in her future home. When it comes to cats, Faith is calm but very interested in feline friends. She doesn’t live with any cats, but when she met our housecat Biggie, she gave him lots and lots of cautiously curious sniffs. It was actually the most interested I had seen her the entire visit! As sweet as she is, due to her peaked interest in kitties, it would be best if she was in a home with no cats. We understand the importance of precious personal space for our kitty friends. Even when she met our big boys Blaze and Xen (9) she was just as mild mannered and gentle with them. She didn’t overbear them with wild energy and jumps. She just let them pet her and was patient as they doted on her. She would do well in a home with bigger, older kids who can respect the needs of a polite, medium energy, canine lady. Do you have a younger, smaller child that you would be interested in seeing how Faith would interact with? Feel free to let us know and we will see how she does! We want to make sure that she is the PERFECT pal for your family! As I stated before, Faith is still a growing girl and needs space to stretch out those long graceful legs and run when she feels like it. A home with a yard would suit her better over an apartment lifestyle. She is the perfect girl to lounge around the house with as she is reminisces on the beauty of a simple life. Faith carries this aura that makes everyone around her feel at ease. Dog’s love her, cats trust her, and humans can’t help but appreciate her presence. She is going to be a great addition to a family who just wants that peaceful energy to grow in their home. Is Faith your missing “peace”? Meet Sandy Duffy! She is currently 3 months old, 16 pounds, and we think she may be a German Sheperd / Labrador Retriever mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Sandy's video here: https://youtu.be/fFjMxdCxzOM Sandy is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! Eat, sleep, play, repeat. Sandy is living her best puppy life right now - all she needs is YOU! Sandy is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Sandy's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. **Now fostered in Enumclaw, WA** Meet Jill Echo the Fuzzy Teddy 🧸✨ At 4.5-months old and already 25 pounds, Jill Echo is a German Shepherd mix with the softest fur you’ll ever pet—think living, breathing teddy bear. Her name suits her, because this sweet girl makes the cutest little grumble grunts when she cuddles, like she’s whispering secrets just for you. Jill is still learning about this big, exciting world and can be a bit shy at first. She needs a patient, experienced home—one familiar with her suspected breed and committed to positive reinforcement and continued training to help her grow into her full potential. With the right guidance and love, Jill will absolutely thrive. She's very smart, entertains herself like a champ while her foster mom (a vet!) works, happily chewing on toys or getting zen with a lick mat. Potty training? Almost perfect. Crate training? Still a work in progress—so a home where someone is around more often than not would be ideal for her continued success. Jill loves other dogs, and a confident canine companion could help her build confidence. She’s also got a flair for fashion—no complaints when it comes to a cute outfit or bandana moment! Jill is quite the vocal storyteller, so she’s not a match for apartment living. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8-week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7-year anniversary this year! Story
Sherman is here to be considered for the role of your best friend/family guy. He just wants to be part of the crew, whatever his title is, but if your crew includes kids he is already halfway in love. This lucky boy is currently living in a foster home with two other large dogs and two kids (ages 7 and 16), and he’s absolutely thriving and loves being part of the fun and the love. Take a look at him in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/aZb-eUy8xbE Sherman has a gentle, goofy personality that you can just see in his sweet face. His foster mama says she thinks he shines the brightest when he’s playing with the kids. He loves playing a version of hide-and-seek where the kids run, and try to hide before he catches them and then they hide around the house while he tracks them down. The truth is he is pretty fast and has a good nose so he usually catches at least one of them before they even make it to their hiding spot. Estimated to be 6-7 months old, Sherman is the dog equivalent of a kid so it is no wonder they have so much fun together. Chase, tug-of-war, or playing with the flirt pole, he is in his element and you can see the interactive, silly, and connection-driven joy he is made of. The kids have even helped with his training, and he listens to them well, taking treats gently like the good boy he is. Funny little detail on his name, breed and age are not details we can guarantee given he is a rescue but his foster family named him Sherman the German because we suspect (and he resembles) a German shepherd. Thanks to his foster family, Sherman comes pre-packaged with a wonderful set of good-boy skills. He is both house and crate trained, has great basic leash skills and is well socialized with other dogs. When on walks he will still get a little loosy-goosy, zig zagging on the sidewalk trying to soak up all the smells and sights but he buttons it up nicely once reminded that your on a walk. He is eager to please, loves to be with his people, and is already on track with structured training sessions, so any additional training or experience you want to enjoy together will be like cherry on top. Keep in mind, you may need a line item in your budget just for toys and enrichment puzzles. He is a toy lover and beats off rainy day boredom with enrichment puzzles. Don’t tell him I told you but he dreams about being a Bark Box boy. How cute is he!? Sherman’s social with other dogs and prefers calm, respectful interactions. He’s not a play-all-day type—he keeps things mellow and will happily hang back if things are looking a little too wild. A friendly, balanced dog in the home would be a great companion, but he’d also do fine as a solo dog with regular social outings and exercise. Sherman is also a great candidate for a multi-pet home and could live with kitties. He regularly passes kitties on his walk and doesn’t pay them much mind at all. When he was introduced to our house cat he was so sweet! He was polite and showed a playful but respectful approach. Sherman’s ideal home includes a yard to run and play in, a family with kids or teens who’ll enjoy interacting with him, other friendly dogs (optional, but a good fit), and with someone who wants a dog with heart, personality, and a great foundation. He does inhale his food so he will need to eat with a slow feeder and have a pet parent who can help with his love of food and snacks . Sherman is affectionate, smart, playful, and incredibly lovable. This boy is going to make someone very, very lucky with all the joy he brings. Is that going to be you? We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Story
But if you have the space in your home and heart—and the time to help her bloom—this fuzzy little teddy bear might just be your perfect match. 🐾 Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6818d8def1b046fca60fedef Please email kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast and Midwest! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable!
Story
Gus is striking looking and athletically built but all of that is built around a heart that is ready for his happily ever after story. Gus is a possibly a young Malinois/German Shepherd mix, estimated to be 2 years old, and weighing 43 lbs. Given he is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age but tell me you don’t see the resemblance. Let's circle back to his weight as well- 43 lbs! He is practically built like a sports car- sleek and light- better for aerodynamics. Take a look at him in action then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/Pd3dgI_ZMCc This boy has been so fortunate to be waiting for his adoption day in a loving foster home. He is soaking it up too! His fosters have shared that Gus came to them with his heart wide-open and ready for love, eager to make that loving-connection.They praise him on so many levels, and repeatedly mention how smart and affectionate he is. While in his foster home he was been learning/ practicing his best-boy manners, from house training to walking like a gentleman on leash- he gets gold-stars across the board. He has shown that he is incredibly responsive to structure and consistency, with a real love for training. You can see it though, he locks yes and there is no doubt you have his full attention. . Gus is currently living in an apartment and does well keeping it mellow when he is inside, but his true happy place is outside — exploring, sniffing, and stretching his legs. He’d love a home with a yard or an active person to go on adventures with. His fosters shared that he was a big hit recently with a group of 5-10 year old kids. He was a total gentleman — respectful, calm, and even paused playtime to join a sunbathing session next to one of the kids. When we spent time with Gus, he met a 4 year old and an 11 year old and he showed us the same. It was clear though he gravitated to the older of the two who was sitting and very open to loving on him and giving him a few treats. We understand that lot’s of people are looking for a one and only dog but worry they won’t be happy without a buddy. Im here to tell you- Gus won’t mind at all! He loves a good game of chase or a little wrestling moment but it isn’t the only thing that makes him happy. If being considered as a +1, Gus does best with calm dogs who give him space but also want to occasionally play. No matter the details, Gus will thrive in a home that can offer structure, mental stimulation, and outlets for his energy. He’s not a 100% couch potato — until after he has had the chance to move his body or work his brain, classic working-dog type. Gus is all heart and he is looking for someone to be his person and return that adoration. Is that you? He is meant to be an amazing dog and he can be YOUR amazing dog! Smart, loyal, and adventure ready on top of everything else. Questions?
