Priest is the kind of soul who does not rush into the spotlight. He waits gently at the edge of the room, watching with soft eyes and a tender heart, as if he is carefully choosing where to place his loyalty. And once he chooses you, it is forever. This quiet, sweet boy has a calm spirit that feels like a deep breath after a long day. Priest is extremely loving and truly enjoys being loved on. A slow head scratch, a warm lap, a soft blanket beside you on the couch, these are his treasures. He leans into affection with complete trust, soaking up every gentle touch as if it is the greatest gift in the world. Though he may seem a little reserved at first, give him a moment and you will discover just how devoted he can be. Priest bonds deeply and quickly with his people. He has a beautiful way of becoming your shadow, following you from room to room, content just knowing he is near you. He does not demand attention, he simply offers companionship that is steady, loyal, and pure.

Meet Diablo! This handsome boy has been here with us at the shelter since 8/26/2024 that is 425 days, and has had no real interest so it is time we do a refresh and reintroduce like he is new! He was a stray that was never claimed so we do not know much about his background but what we do know about him is that he will love and protect you from any danger. He will require multiple meet and greets to be able to get fully acquainted and comfortable with his new potential family. He is not great with meeting new people until you earn his trust but with patience and a lot of yummy treats he does get there. He loves everyone at the shelter and gets so excited, does a little bunny hop prance dance and is a love bug to all of us. He loves his but scratches, to run around and play and likes to pretend he is a seal with no ears. He is not great with quick sudden movements especially near his face so we would suggest no homes with small children. He has been good with dogs at the shelter especially the ladies but we do require meet and greets if another dog resides in the home. Diablo all in all is such a good boy he just needs a chance and a new owner to put in the work with him and he will turn into your protector and your best friend.

Story
Meet Jester! This handsome hunk came in as a stray and was never claimed and is looking for a new home! We are estimating him to be a year old. We are looking for a breed specific rescue or very breed experienced adopter as he does have his ways. He is extremely sweet and will most definitely protect his people. He was evaluated by two trainers who saw a lot of potential in him. He loves his squeaky toys and loves to run around. He would do best in a home with much older kids. He has done well with submissive dogs, and he prefers the ladies but if you do have another dog meet and greets are required. If you are interested in Jester we are open Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm or you can call the shelter to schedule an appointment at 804-520-9397 ext.5
