💙🐾 JACOB: ONE BLUE EYE, TWO PAWS & A WHOLE LOT TO LOVE! 🐾💙 Meet Jacob, a 2–3-year-old, 44-pound black-and-white Pittie mix with one absolutely stunning blue eye and what we think is just about the perfect-sized package—not too big, not too small, and plenty of room left on the couch for you. 😂❤️ Jacob is an incredibly easy dog to walk. He doesn't feel the need to rush anywhere. Instead, he happily meanders along without pulling, taking his time to investigate all the important smells along the way. Because apparently every blade of grass deserves a thorough review. 😂🌱 And this handsome guy has brains to go with that pretty face. 🧠 Knows sit AND paw 🐾 Occasionally upgrades “paw” to BOTH PAWS AT ONCE 🦴 Very treat motivated 🚶 Easy, relaxed leash walker 👃 Curious and loves a good sniffing expedition 🚗 Hopped right into the car like he was ready to go somewhere 💕 Super affectionate and playful Jacob has also shown us some nice potential with other dogs. He seems comfortable around them on leash and appears to prefer lower-energy canine friends. When another dog is coming in a little too hot, Jacob's response tends to be more “Yeah...I'm just going to stay over here.” 😂 As always, meet & greets are required to make sure everyone is a good match. Jacob is heartworm positive, but please don't let that keep you from considering him. We can help him get the treatment he needs once he's in a home. ❤️ What really stands out about Jacob is just how easy and enjoyable he is to spend time with. He's affectionate without being overwhelming, playful without being completely bananas, smart, curious and happy to cruise along beside you. And at 44 pounds, he's basically the Goldilocks of Pitties. Not too big. Not too small. Just right. 💙 Now we just need to find the person who thinks Jacob is just right for them, too. 🥹🐾 📍 Hopewell Animal Services 🕙 Tuesday–Saturday • 10 AM–2 PM

💦🎾 TEACUP: FULL-TIME PARTY GIRL. ZERO DAYS OFF. 🐾😂 Meet Teacup, a 1–2-year-old, 50-pound white-and-blue Pittie mix whose approach to life is pretty simple: Have fun. Make friends. Find water. Locate the biggest stick possible. Repeat. 😂 This girl is an absolute BLAST. 💦 Water? Obsessed. Teacup had the best time splashing and playing in the river and would happily make every day a pool day. 🌳 Sticks? Yes—but please don't insult her with anything reasonably sized. The bigger, the better. 🎾 Tennis balls? She had a blast chasing them around the yard and was ready to keep going long after the humans were questioning their stamina. Teacup is wide open, non-stop fun, and very much a full-time party girl. Occasionally, all that enthusiasm spills over and she decides the leash would make an excellent tug-of-war toy. 😂 But once she settles into her walk, she's happy to head out for a nice long adventure. And this girl LOVES people. ❤️ She's never met a stranger and will happily sit—or completely stretch herself out—while you provide the pets. And please don't stop prematurely. Teacup will let you know when your shift is over. 😂 🐾 Knows sit 🧠 Super smart and eager to learn 🦴 VERY treat motivated and would be so much fun to train 💕 Absolutely loves people and attention 🐶 Seems to enjoy other dogs, as long as they're up for her rambunctious, rough-and-tumble play style — meet & greets required 💦 Certified water enthusiast 🎾 Ball chaser, stick collector and professional good-time haver Teacup is heartworm positive, but don't let that stop you from considering her. We can help her get the treatment she needs once she's in an adoptive home. ❤️ There's a reason this girl has become a volunteer favorite. She's silly. She's affectionate. She's smart. She's energetic. And she approaches pretty much everything like it might be THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED. 🍫💕 MAGGIE: LOOKING FOR A HUMAN TO PERMANENTLY ATTACH HERSELF TO. 😂🐾 Meet Maggie, a 4-year-old, 50-pound dark chocolate hunk of Pittie perfection whose primary goal in life is simple: Find human. Melt into human. Become one with human. 😂❤️ Maggie LOVES people. Her tail starts wagging when she sees you, she leans her whole body into pets, and if there's a seat nearby, she's getting up there—preferably directly into your lap. Personal space? Maggie has never heard of it. She's also not exactly training for a marathon. 😂 Maggie's little body wears out pretty quickly, and when she's decided a walk has gone on long enough, she may dramatically put on the brakes. Is she truly incapable of continuing? Or is this Grammy-level acting designed to convince you to pick her up and carry her? 🏆😂 We're leaning toward the latter. 💕 Absolutely LOVES human affection 🧠 Knows sit and is smart and eager to learn 🏡 Excellent house and crate skills 🐾 Enjoys walking around other dogs but would prefer to be your one-and-only at home 🍪 Highly motivated by food AND affection 🛋️ Would be perfectly content spending her day glued to her person Maggie came to the shelter severely underweight, so her enthusiasm for food is understandable. She can still be a little grabby when taking treats, so that's something her new family will want to continue working on. And while Maggie generally considers herself a professional couch potato, every once in a while the puppy mode activates. 😂 She can get rambunctious, playful and a little mouthy when she's excited. It's all in fun, but because she hasn't quite perfected her manners in those moments, she'd do best with older kids or an adult-only home. The really wonderful thing about Maggie? She does beautifully in a home environment. She has excellent house and crate skills, she's smart, eager to learn, and has shown she can pick up new things in just days. She's such a good, sweet dog who wants nothing more than to belong to someone. Preferably someone with a comfortable couch. And a lap. And perhaps the upper-body strength to carry 50 pounds of chocolate Pittie when her acting career kicks in. 😂🍫❤️ 📍 Hopewell Animal Services 🕒 Tuesday–Saturday • 10 AM–2 PM Come meet Maggie—and prepare to leave with a new 50-pound attachment. 🐾💕
