Story
Mano is a 6-month-old Pit Bull and Shepherd mix in a striking blue brindle coat, topped with two enormous ears that hear the treat bag open from three rooms away. He is about 40 pounds now with a little growing left to do, and every ounce of him is puppy: curious, playful, and convinced that everyone he meets came here specifically to be his friend. He comes by it honestly. Mano lived in a home with another dog before landing at the shelter, and it shows. He is dog friendly, loves a good wrestle and a game of chase, and would be thrilled to join a family with a resident playmate or active humans who can match his energy. He takes treats with a gentle mouth, which makes him a dream to train, and at 6 months he has plenty to learn. His future family should be ready to work on manners and house training and to give this smart young brain plenty of exercise along with his legs. Give Mano structure, patience, and a spot in your adventures, and he will give you the next decade of grins like the one in his photos. Mano is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Story
🎲 Roll the Dice… and Win the Best Dog Ever 🤎🐾 Meet Dice—a 2–3 year old, 50-pound caramel-colored hunk who might just be your lucky charm. ✨ This sweet boy is all about the simple joys in life: getting out for a walk, sniffing everything, and just being by your side. Once he’s out of his kennel, he settles into an easygoing pace—but don’t be surprised if he throws in a little burst of playful energy to keep things fun. 😊 Dice is a total gentleman: ✔️ Walks nicely on leash ✔️ Sits calmly for harnessing ✔️ Seems housebroken ✔️ Quietly hangs by your side when you stop He can be a little hand shy at first, but he’s incredibly gentle and just needs a moment to feel safe. Once he does, you can see how much he wants to connect. 💛 He’s not super treat-motivated—but he is motivated by fresh air, exploring, and spending time with his people. And when it comes to other dogs? Dice seems happy just being near them, with plenty of tail wags to show it. 🐕 If you’re looking for a calm, kind-hearted companion with just the right amount of playful spark… 🎲 Go ahead—roll the Dice.

Story
Meet Teacup 🐾💙 (aka your favorite little party girl) Teacup is a 1–2 year old, about 50-pound pittie mix who shows up to life with full enthusiasm and zero chill… and honestly? We love that for her. 😂 🎾 Fetch? Obsessed. 💦 Water? YES PLEASE — splash zone activated. 🐾 Adventure? She’s already on her way. She’s playful, affectionate, and always ready to have a good time—whether that’s chasing tennis balls, making new friends, or just soaking up attention. Now… Teacup does have a little ✨toddler energy✨ at times. When she gets excited or overwhelmed, she can get a bit mouthy on leash—but with redirection, patience, and a little guidance, she settles and shows her sweet, loving side. And when she comes back down to earth? She melts right into you. 💙 Teacup is also heartworm positive, but we can help her get the treatment she needs. She will need a dedicated adopter who can help her through a couple of months of exercise restriction while she recovers and completes treatment. ✨ What we love about Teacup: • Fun, social, and full of personality • Loves people and happy to say hello • Playful but also enjoys affection and downtime • Would thrive with structure and someone who can help guide her Teacup is looking for someone who appreciates a dog with spunk, heart, and a little bit of sass—and who’s ready to help her channel all that energy into being the best girl she can be. Because underneath that party girl energy? She’s just a sweet, silly pup who wants to be loved. 🐾💙 Come meet Teacup at Hopewell Animal Services!

Story
🖤🤍 Say his name… Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, BEETLEJUICE! 🤍🖤 (Okay, now that we’ve got your attention… let’s talk about this very special boy 💛) Beetlejuice is a 1-year-old, 38-pound fawn pittie mix with a gentle soul and a sensitive heart. He’s fully vetted and heartworm negative ✔️ Shelter life has been overwhelming for him, so he may come off shy at first—but give him a little time, and you’ll start to see the real Beetlejuice. The one who leans in for affection, rolls over for belly rubs 🥹, and quietly seeks connection with his person. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply. The kind who doesn’t give his trust away right away—but when he does, it means everything. Beetlejuice thrives with patience, structure, and someone who understands that building trust is a journey. He can take a bit longer to warm up to men, but with consistency and kindness, he absolutely gets there—and it’s incredibly rewarding to watch. 🏡 His ideal home: ▪️ Experienced, patient adopter ▪️ All-adult household ▪️ Lower-traffic home with fewer visitors ▪️ Someone committed to helping him feel safe and build confidence We also want to be transparent—Beetlejuice was previously adopted and returned after a bite incident in the home. That matters, and we’re always open to having honest conversations with serious adopters. But we also know that one moment doesn’t define a dog who has shown so much capacity for love, growth, and connection. Outside of the kennel, everything changes. 💛 🐾 He seeks closeness and reassurance 🐾 Gives the sweetest little head nudges for pets 🐾 Melts into you during quiet moments 🐾 Enjoys long walks (bonus points for a confident dog friend!) 🐾 Finds comfort just being near someone he trusts One of our volunteers said it best: “Seeing him shut down in the kennel is hard… because when he’s out, he’s such a loving, special little guy.” Beetlejuice doesn’t need perfection—he just needs someone willing to understand him, go at his pace, and show him he’s safe. And when that happens? You’ll see just how special he really is. 🐾💛
