Story
UPDATE- Akoya is the perfect angel when left at home alone. She curls up in her comfortable safe spot until your return. She loves to play, cuddle, hug and kiss. She is better paired with only dogs her size or bigger when playing and mid to late teens and adults only, as she tends to play rough, but is quick to apologize if she gets too rough. She is small for her hybrid breed and is super fast and strong. She would be in agility classes to see were she is best at course competition because she loves to learn and enjoys going to school. She is one who will win purses! She needs a caregiver with a big backyard for her to run and explore. She does not like to be confined but will put herself in time out if she thinks she did wrong. She is trained to potty inside and outside and she comes with all her pet belongings. Reach out to me to find out.

Story
Meet Eisley – Trail Companion with a Thoughtful SideEisley is a handsome German Shepherd mix who shines when he’s out exploring the world. He’s a great trail dog, recently covering nearly four miles on a walk, and he maintains a steady, easy pace that makes him an enjoyable companion for outdoor adventures. On leash, Eisley does well and shows a balanced curiosity—he enjoys sniffing but isn’t overly distracted, keeping a nice rhythm during walks. He passed bikes without showing interest, demonstrating a calm and manageable presence in more active environments.Eisley has a sensitive side and can be a bit unsure when new or unexpected sounds pop up. During a recent walk, things like an owl or sudden squirrel movement startled him briefly, but with reassurance and encouragement, he was able to settle and continue on. This suggests he’ll benefit from a patient adopter who can build his confidence and help him feel secure as he navigates new experiences. He appears to be fairly independent in nature and not strongly treat-motivated at this time, though he responds to encouragement and guidance. After outings, he rides calmly in the car, often choosing to relax quietly in the back seat.Eisley would be a great fit for someone who enjoys outdoor time and is willing to provide gentle leadership and confidence-building. With consistency and trust, he has the potential to grow into a loyal and steady companion. Eisley would prefer to be the only dog in his home so he can soak up all of the love!

Story
Auntie Em is a beautiful, German Shepherd Dog/Pitbull mix (50/50 according to the DNA test). Her dark Brindle coat and copper eyes are simply stunning - this girl turns heads! She is about 3.5 years old and weighs 64 pounds. She is very smart, obedient, powerful, and full of energy. If you are interested, please research both breeds. High energy, working dogs require a lot of exercise and stimuli. Auntie Em is very particular with other animals. She has interacted with various sized dogs. Sometimes it's playful, sometimes it's not. She does not like when other dogs get in her face or show any excitement or dominance. There is not a lot of warning when she's upset. A new owner will have to work with her and learn her cues and how to redirect her. Her prey drive is there for little furry things too, therefore no kitties. Em would do best as the only pet. She has loved all the people she has met so far with proper introduction. She is CRAZY food motivated. Em will eat anything, but chicken seems to make her itchy. Poultry free diet for this girl! She is gentle when taking treats, but is a bit protective of her bowl and yummy treats. Because of this and her occasional bursts of energy (zoomies), no children under 12 in the household for this gal. Em will definitely benefit from some obedience training to polish her manners. She does know some basic commands. She will go in a crate, but she does not love it. Em can be trusted in the house alone as long as she has her toys. She LOVES her toys. She also loves to hang out on the couch and on the bed if you will let her. Em will go in the car just fine - she is a little anxious at first, but settles down. She is micro-chipped, UTD on vaccines and spayed. She does get seasonal allergies too, but it is easily controlled with medication as needed. Em is going to make a wonderful pet for the right owner. Is it you? If you are interested, please fill out an application on www.homesfurhounds.org.
