Story
Buckeye is a courtesy post for Valley Dogs Rescue and is not in our direct care. Buckeye is a big energetic family dog looking for a family that will exercise him, maybe have other dogs to play with or kids in the home. He loves playing with toys, going for walks and is very cuddly and affectionate with all people. He is in need of leash training as he gets very excited on leash especially when he spots a rabbit. He does chase cats, not aggressively, but wants to play with them so that might be stressful on a certain type of cat. Story
Rogue is approximately eight months old. She is a very sweet and loving velcro dog with protective instincts. She is the first to bark to warn our family, but she is not at all excessive about it. She’s extremely calm and quiet most of the time. She’s very smart. She’s potty trained, kennel trained, and knows simple commands like sit, lay down, shake. She’s food oriented so she learns fast. We’re working on roll over. She plays well with other dogs. She was brought home from Maricopa County animal control at about six months old and at times will pee from anxiety. This is usually due to an abrupt/excessive physical or verbal approach. She needs spoken to and guided a bit more gently than the average dog. I’d like to find someone who can care for her kindly and patiently. My young child has not been able to understand the level of gentleness this sweet dog deserves.
