Story
✨ Meet Rhea ✨ Rhea is an 8-year-old sweetheart with the softest soul. She’s kennel trained, loves to cuddle, and is happiest when she’s relaxing by your side. 💕 She does have a little sassy side (adds to her charm 😉), but overall she’s very laid back and easygoing. Rhea is great with kids, though she can get a bit nervous in busy, high-energy environments. Because of that, she would thrive best in a calm home—ideally as the only dog—with a quieter household, like an older couple looking for a loving companion. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal cuddle buddy, Rhea might just be your perfect match. (602) 999-7256 free to good home but application and home check required

Story
🌾🐾 Rye is the kind of dog who makes you want to lace up your hiking boots and head straight out the door. 🐾🌾 Rye is a Shepherd Malinois mix, approximately five to six years old, and she is one of those dogs who is just genuinely good at being a dog. Good with dogs of all sizes. Good with cats, actually does not even bother to look at them. Good with kids of all ages and friendly with everyone she meets. Loving, social, and the kind of presence that makes a home feel warmer just by being in it. 🥹💛 She walks beautifully on leash, knows sit and stay, and her absolute love language is a good chew toy or bone. Give her something to work on and she is a happy girl. She is not a city dog or a couch dog. She is a get outside, go on adventures, bring me everywhere kind of dog, and she is looking for a person who feels exactly the same way. 🥾🌿 A couple of things worth knowing. Rye does not love loud noises, so a quieter environment will help her feel her most settled and confident. She also gets so excited sometimes that she has accidents, which is just her joy spilling over and something manageable with patience and a good routine. She is not a fan of being alone for long stretches, so she truly thrives when her person is home often and includes her in daily life as much as possible. No doggy door experience yet, but with the right home and a little consistency she will get there. Rye is not looking for a casual relationship. She wants her person, her adventures, her walks, and her place by your side as much as humanly possible. If you are someone who lives outdoors, loves to move, and wants a loyal and loving companion to bring along for all of it, Rye has been waiting for exactly you. 🌾🐶💛 Apply to adopt Rye below and go on every adventure together. 🐾✨ Adoption App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LCDR/Dog Foster App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/LCDR/Dog

Story
🐾 Koda Is Looking for His Teammate for Life 🐾 Koda is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with big energy, a loyal heart, and a deep desire to find someone he can truly bond with. Once he trusts you, he becomes the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side — your shadow, your adventure buddy, and your most devoted companion. 💙🐕 Koda didn’t have the easiest start. He was rescued from the euthanasia list after being labeled shy and scared, but since then he’s been working hard to grow, learn, and show the amazing dog he can be. With patience and kindness, his true shepherd personality shines through: loyal, playful, and incredibly connected to his person. Here’s what makes Koda special: 🎾 Loves fetch, toys, and burning off energy in the yard 🐾 Forms a strong bond and happily follows his person everywhere 🧠 Very smart and crate trained (does best with a sturdy enclosed crate) 🦮 Currently working on commands like sit and leave it and improving on leash 🐕 Can do well with female dogs after slow introductions, though he mostly prefers human attention Because the world can still feel overwhelming sometimes, Koda will do best with someone who understands that confidence takes time to build. Loud noises, new people, and busy environments can make him nervous at first, but with steady guidance he continues to improve. Koda’s ideal home would include: 🏡 A house with a yard and a tall, secure fence 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Adults or kids 12+ who understand an energetic dog 🐕 Someone experienced with shepherds or confident working breeds 💛 A patient person who enjoys training and helping a dog grow Koda is energetic, sensitive, and incredibly loyal. What he needs most is someone who sees his potential and is excited to help him continue becoming the confident dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who wants to learn, explore, and build a strong bond with you, Koda could be your perfect match. 🐾💙 Apply to adopt Koda today. 👉 https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LCDR/Dog

Story
Lyric is a 1-2 year old Shephard mix, found with a litter of 8 puppies by Maricopa Animal Control. I adopted her to find her a good home. She loves walks, dog park friends, playtime and cuddles and scritches. Her nickname is Shadow as she will be right there with you everywhere you go. She loves treats, chew sticks and squeaky toys. She uses a crate at night and sleeps well, but she gets very anxious if left alone. She uses a doggie door to go outside as needed, but if one is not accessible will whine to let you know she needs to go out. We have an older dog that she gets along with very well. So far has played well with other dogs at the dog park. She is still in her chewing phase so need to watch her. For the most part she will just lie down beside you or nearby wherever you are. She is young and needs exercise and training. She has learned a few commands, but needs more training. She will jump up on you for attention. Looking for a forever home for her to be loved and treated well.

Story
I acquired Gio back in Houston from a random guy. He was a baby but very nervous and scared. He grew up and is now really playful and full of energy. He still is shy and scared sometimes which we were are still working on. I’m not sure if it’s trauma from the previous owner. Nevertheless he is a great dog and listens. He knows the basic command but still needs more training. He is a year and 8 months. I’m looking for someone preferably time and experience with GSD.

Story
Quest is a 4-5 year old German Shepherd and the definition of an amazing family dog. He’s fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He also has a very low Valley Fever titer and takes meds for that twice a day. Quest is great with other dogs, though he does guard his food so he just needs to be fed separately. He’s potty trained (uses a doggie door), crate trained, knows basic commands, and truly just wants to lay on the couch with you and watch TV. The biggest sweetheart ever!

Story
Meet Gunner ❤️ Gunner is a handsome 7-year-old Belgian Malinois/Husky mix who is sadly searching for a new home due to a change within his family. Having been adopted as a young puppy at just 2 months old, Gunner has spent nearly his entire life with the same family after being rescued alongside his six siblings through BTBPR. This transition will be a major adjustment for him, and we are committed to finding him a loving, stable home where he can feel safe, secure, and cherished once again. Gunner is an incredibly friendly and affectionate dog who loves people of all ages, including babies and children. He has been raised in a home with another dog and a cat and has done well with them throughout his life. He enjoys being close to his people and is happiest when included as part of the family. While Gunner loves to snuggle and relax with his humans, he also has an active side and will need a family that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. He enjoys walks, hikes, and outdoor adventures, though he would benefit from additional leash training to help him become more polished on walks. An active household that understands the needs of his breed mix would be ideal for him. As Gunner adjusts to losing the only home and companions he has ever known — including his humans, children, dog, and cat friends — patience and time to decompress will be very important. He deserves a family willing to help him through this transition with understanding, consistency, and love. If you believe Gunner may be a good fit for your home, please fill out an adoption application so we can arrange a meet and greet. A home check is required prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $125. Let’s help Gunner find the forever home he deserves — one filled with love, stability, and plenty of adventures. May 12, 2026, 2:02 pm

Story
🚨 Willow Needs a Foster or Forever Home ASAP 🐾 Willow has been waiting patiently while all of her siblings found homes… and now it’s her turn. This sweet girl urgently needs a foster or adopter so she can finally have the space and stability she deserves. 💛 Willow (formerly Angelica) is a beautiful tricolor Shepherd mix born 7/28/25 as part of the Rugrats litter. While her brothers and sisters have already been adopted, Willow is still looking for someone to say yes to her. She’s a friendly, social pup who truly enjoys being around both people and other dogs. Being crated for long periods has been tough for her because she really just wants to be part of the action and spend time with her companions. Here are some things to know about Willow: 🐕 Great with other dogs and loves social time 👧 Good with kids 🚪 Doggy-door trained 🛏️ Crate trained and does well overnight 🍖 Already knows how to sit and patiently wait for food or treats 🚗 Loves riding in the truck and meeting people at events 🥕 Big fan of cooked carrot coins and small toys Willow is a sweet, adaptable girl who would likely do well in many different types of homes. What matters most to her is being around people and dogs instead of spending long hours alone in a crate. She would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of social interaction, playtime, and the chance to continue learning about the world. Right now, Willow urgently needs either a foster or a forever home. Fostering is completely free — the rescue provides food, supplies, and vet care. All you provide is a safe place for Willow to stay while she continues her journey to a forever family. If you can help Willow finally leave the waiting list behind, apply to foster or adopt today. 🐾💛 Adoption App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LCDR/Dog Foster App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/LCDR/Dog
