Story
Meet Ravi! Ravi is an 9 year old German Shepherd blend. He is a big, lean boy and weighs around 75 pounds. Ravi has a very gentle and sweet personality. He loves hanging out on the couch, and prefers to sleep on a dog bed next to his human's bed. Ravi is house trained and dog door trained. He loves walks and he does get excited when he meets other dogs. He loves attention from humans and likes to know where everyone in the house is hanging out. Ravi has previously lived with another dog and a cat (as long as the cat doesn't run!). However, he doesn't like to share his food so he'll do best as your only canine companion (but he can always meet new dog friends as long as there's no food or treats involved!). He is an excellent passenger in the car and seems to really enjoy car rides. Ravi loves toys and balls and has chosen a big stuffed fish as his favorite and carries it around everywhere. He listens and follows directions well. He knows sit, stay, come, wait, and will give you his paw for shake. Ravi is gentle taking treats. Ravi is a "safety first" kind of boy so he has learned to get in and out of the pool! Ravi is neutered, licensed, current on vaccinations and microchipped. He is being spoiled by one of our amazing foster homes, and will be at the adoption center on Saturdays from 10am-4pm. You may email Debbie@AzFriends.org to arrange a weekday meeting. No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Rehoming a Loving 1-Year-Old German Shepherd It is with a heavy heart that I'm posting about finding a new, loving home for my 1-year-old male German Shepherd puppy. He is a beautiful, intelligent, and energetic young dog, but unfortunately, due to changes in my circumstances, I am no longer able to provide him with the time, energy, and space he needs to thrive. About him: * Breed: German Shepherd * Age: 1 year old * Sex: Male * Temperament: He is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and eager to please. He is a typical German Shepherd – intelligent, active, and needs consistent training. He loves to play, go for walks, and learn new things. He can be wary of strangers initially but warms up quickly with proper introductions. He is a vocal breed, and his new owner should be prepared for this. * Training: He requires ongoing training and socialization to reach his full potential, needs work with potty training, jumping, and extra time on socializing.

Story
Layla is a 6-year-old sweetheart looking for a loving forever home! She has a mild-mannered, gentle personality and is fantastic with kids. While she’s not interested in typical dog toys or playing fetch, she adores stuffed animals and has a playful streak when it comes to chasing birds, rabbits, and lizards. Layla is well-trained, including being able to walk off-leash, and has great manners. She loves her walks, but if there’s one thing she loves even more, it’s treats! If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s as easygoing as she is affectionate, Layla might be the perfect match for you!

Story
(YouTube channel link has more videos!) Daisy is the sweetest girl in the whole world and it breaks my heart that I cant be a better parent to her at the moment. She is only 1 year and she is so well behaved! She isnt a barker, loves to meet new people and she loves to cuddle! She deserves someone that can give her more attention and Im not as home as often as I hoped when I first adopted her. I would love to have the opportunity to still visit her and maybe even baby sit if thats something we could work out! Im also willing to still pay for her insurance for the rest of the year if thats something helps out at all! I also have all of her vaccination records, if you have any questions don’t be afraid to reach out (: For any questions my email is nicser15@gmail.com
