Story
Mae is an amazing dog. She’s so sweet, the biggest cuddle bug and loooooves to love on you. She is quite energetic due to her breed but she will also curl up and chill out with you on the couch for the day. She’s house trained and we’ve never had a single issue with pottying in the house. She’s amazing with kids and cats, (we have both). The only reason we are needing to rehome her is that to our dismay she and our older dog just cannot get along anymore. We’re being forced to keep them separated 24/7 with each being locked away half the day and it’s just not healthy for the dogs or sustainable for us. We adore her, shes such a great pup and I want her to be able to find a home that’s a better fit for her and her needs where she doesn’t have to live in contention with another dog. She seems to be alright with other dogs besides the older dog we have, but it’s something that would need to be approached carefully.

Story
Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Owner/Guardian Surrender at Española Humane in NM. Originally adopted from Española Humane as a puppy and later returned due to allergies in the home. Approximately 7 months old at intake, came with the name "Matches". From the foster: Oh Captain, My Captain, Are you looking for zero privacy? Are you looking an In-Home obstacle course? Are you needing help getting that pesky stuffing out of toys? Have you ever thought "I have too much empty space between me and that keyboard"? Inquire about Captains' services. Very gentle on leash. Very alert and curious during walks. Has initiated a couple fights with my male for treats and toys. Might do better with a female or only dog, unless you are going to train it out of him while a pup. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
