Story
I got sally in Ohio at a farm from a breeder at 8 weeks. She was born June 9th 2020. I met both parents. Her mom was an Syberian husky and her dad was a German shepherd. She has blue eyes. She is crate trained. She has no problem being crated, she has never bit a person in her life. Her temper is similar to a teenager. She’s not a cuddler but she does tolerate hugs. She walks well on the leash and listens very well. She does not howl like a husky and hardly barks. Very rarely barks in fact. She is fully potty trained. She is amazing with people and children even babies. I need to rehome her because my life is too busy with traveling for my kids gymnastics. I am just gone way too much and it’s not fair to her. She has a sister Zero and would love if they were together but that’s a lot to ask and I understand if someone can’t take both. Zero is a white Shepherd.

Story
Loki, despite his occasional nervousness, is the best boy. He always looks out for his loved ones and is always up for a game. I adopted him when he was just a few weeks old. I didn’t know much about him at the time, but I knew I wanted a husky. I raised him for as long as I could, but I think today I realized I don’t have the funds or means to keep him healthy. I don’t want any money; I just want him to have a good family that will take good care of him.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES – ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. ADOPTION LINK: https://airtable.com/appJMHBItTE2RWdqD/shrsP6tKWM2HcFZaA GEORGIA ADOPTIONS ONLY – WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF STATE. Located in Atlanta, GA Meet Lasso! 🤎 This handsome shepherd mix puppy is around 5 months old, weighs about 40 lbs, and has only just begun his fresh start. Lasso was recently pulled from Cobb County Animal Control, where the shelter environment had become overwhelming for him. He was very scared when we met him, and like many sensitive dogs, the stress of kennel life was causing him to become more and more fearful as time went on. Now that he’s safe with rescue, Lasso is getting the chance to decompress, exhale, and learn that the world can be a kinder place. Because he is so new to us, we are intentionally giving him the time and space he needs to settle in before making any big claims about his personality. Right now, our focus is helping him feel safe, build confidence, and adjust to life outside the shelter. What we do know already is that Lasso is a beautiful young dog with so much potential ahead of him. At only 5 months old, he is still very much a puppy and has plenty of time to blossom into an incredible companion with the right guidance and patience. We’ll continue updating his profile as we learn more about him, his likes, and the kind of home where he’ll thrive most. Why Adopt From Us? • Best Chance Program: includes a 30-day transition period with training support through our trusted partners. • Adoption Fee Covers: neuter, updated vaccines, and preventative care. • Lifetime Support: we’re always here for you and your new dog.

Story
Meet Percy, a stunning Husky who arrived at the shelter as a stray with his best friend, Etta, on 6/12. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim them. Percy shows signs of a hard life outdoors, including fly-strike damage to his ears, and he is heartworm positive. The good news is that with proper treatment and care, he can go on to live a long, happy, and healthy life. Be sure to ask shelter staff about fostering-to-adopt while he completes treatment. Volunteers describe Percy as sweet, playful, and well-mannered. He happily sits for treats and loves spending time with people. Percy is still young and has so much love to give, he just needs someone willing to give him a chance. Could you be the hero he's been waiting for? Percy is approximately 4 years old and weighs 36 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and neutered; he will be microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Percy in kennel 877; his ID # is 19883. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
