Story
Malina is a 2-year-old, stunning all-white Husky who is true husky through and through. She’s athletic, playful, smart, and always ready for her next adventure. This girl loves to run, play, and stay busy, so she’s looking for an active family who can keep up with her energy and give her plenty of daily enrichment. In classic husky fashion, Malina is also an escape artist, so a secure, fenced-in backyard is required for her adoption. She knows sit and other basic commands and is eager to learn more, especially when training is fun and based on positive reinforcement (treats + praise = her favorite combo).Malina would thrive with someone who understands the husky lifestyle—exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and lots of love. If you’re ready for a beautiful, high-energy companion who will keep you on your toes and steal your heart, Malina might be your girl 🤍🐾

Story
Finkle A18120763 lb. neutered male, approx 2 years old -This handsome fella is ready to bust outta here!-He can be a little anxious at first but settles in-Out in the yard he was zooming around and flipping toys all over the place-He is treat motivated, sits (after he settles in) and takes them nicely. He has a hard time taking them from hands. It’s like he doesn’t know how and just nibbles at them.-He moves quick with everything he does. He can come in fast when you’re on his level, but will also settle in.-He enjoyed laying on me for pets and belly rubs-He has no spacial awareness and he’ll sit or stand right on you 😂-Good young boy who just needs a little guidance and training-Walks nicely on leash-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30am-5:30pm. Please arrive by 5:00pm for adoptions.**1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
