Chanreet Bassi A18851651 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old -She walks exceptionally well on leash and enjoys wandering around and exploring. She would come over to check in for pets, and when I stopped, she leaned right back in asking for more. She also rolled over to offer up her belly for rubs.-She showed more interest in toys than treats and seemed to enjoy doing her own thing while still checking in for affection. Loud noises made her a little nervous, and she would occasionally shy away, but she was able to settle and relax when given space to explore on her own. A sweet girl who enjoys affection but is also content doing her own thing!-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30**We ask that if you’re looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

Kakai A18832059 lb. spayed female, approx 5 years old -This sweet girl walks nicely on leash without pulling and enjoys getting outside to sniff and explore. She’s very treat motivated, knows “sit” and “down,” and can even catch treats! She briefly showed some interest in toys, but her playful side really came out when I started play bowing to her. Suddenly, she was bouncing around and jumping on me, ready to join in the fun! 🥰-She enjoys affection, too. Once she felt comfortable, she hopped right onto my lap and covered me in kisses.
